Arte e pasta
Returning to fresh pasta at the end of may.
Arte e pasta is an Italian sharing plate restaurant, that uses ingredients imported from Slow Food producers throughout Italy, by the food wholesaler, The Chefs Deli.
Whilst its sister restaurant, Bombetta London in Wanstead (next to Snaresbrook underground Station) focuses on Italian grill, the main feature here is fresh pasta.
The restaurant doubles as a gallery, managed by Wood Street Walls, who facilitated an amazing mural on the front of the building. It is a skip and a hop from the delights of the famous neon collection at Gods Own Junk Yard, Pillars Brewery, Mothers Ruin Distillery, Wild Card Brewery tap room; the wider vibrant Walthamstow Village area. Located under a 10 minute walk from both Wood Street Station and Walthamstow Central, come by train, enjoy the wine list, craft beers on tap and creative cocktail menu.

We loved this restaurant. The food is some of the best we've eaten in London - it's the real deal. The staff were gorgeous - welcoming, friendly and clearly passionate about their food. We sat at the bar and were plied with tiny sips of a range of cocktails all evening. We had a great night out - and will be coming back with friends next time. A real gem.
Great food service ambience
Food was excellent and the sharing idea is lovely. Gave four stars not five just because the service was a bit speedy.
Great to have a place like this on our doorstep. In a time where travelling is difficult, eating at Art e Pasta gives you a little slice of Europe in Walthamstow. The dishes were creative and delicious and the service was super friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended for a special occasion.
Hidden gem in Walthamstow with delicious, fresh Italian food. Staff are really friendly and accommodating too.
Extremely delicious food and loads of interesting art. Love the mural in the ladies loo! Great baby changing facilities, too.
This restaurant is such a welcome addition to the area. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The restaurant staff (the head chef, manager & a new member of staff) were so professional and gracious in handling a slight hiccup. We shall certainly return!
Honestly couldn’t fault anything at all. Food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, decor was fantastic, staff were incredible, attentive and really friendly.
The best restaurant in Walthamstow by a country mile. This is not a local restaurant experience. This is up there with central London places like Pulpo, Yauatcha or the sort of place you get in Shoreditch and Hackney.
Subtle yet delicious tastes. Fantastic quality ingredients.
It’s not cheap but we’ll worth the money.
Also caters well for veggies and gluten free.
Lovely food and service. It was my second visit and I will certainly be coming again and recommending your restaurant.
Had such a brilliant evening on a spur of the moment date night. The staff were so friendly and accommodating it made for a fantastic atmosphere. Food was great, wine was brilliant and we will certainly be going back!
A fantasic meal! Best I've had in a such a long time! Amazing flavours, the dishes are all so well balanced, the service? Increaible! Real passion behind what was on the menu and was helped through the menu. I will be coming back and have already recommended to freinds.
A wonderful new restaurant with delicious food and lovely staff!
Wonderful food and service. We took my mother in aw for her 70th and had such a nice afternoon, very relaxed and delicious food. Highly recommend for the food and atmosphere.
Tasteless and horribly expensive. £10 for half a tin of warmed beans with some bottled chargrilled peppers on top served with hard focaccia. And the other dishes were equally bland, boring and at rip off prices. The view of the inside of the toilet all night, didn’t add to the ambiance and the 30 mins to try and pay just topped it off. It was a great bottle of wine though.
lovely friendly staff, delicious food and great wine menu.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food.
Outstanding quality Italian food . Sharing plates and fresh flavours. Quirky setting with great vibe
The produce is outstanding, they are super friendly and they welcome families - great addition to Walthamstow
Everything we had was exceptional especially the agnolotti pasta, and the roasted sea bass and courgette fries! Would highly recommend a visit!
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was so friendly and lovely!! I had such a wonderful birthday dinner out!! I would definitely recommend Arte E Pasta to a friend and I’ll definitely be returning in the future!! Thank you so much!
I’m very happy to recommend Arte e Pasta on Shernhall Street. My husband and I had the most amazing meal there last night, the food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were really friendly and attentive and it was an all round lovely evening.
Wonderful friendly service and outstanding food. Such a great place to go with children. The staff charmed our 11-month old, who ate her way happily through a plate of pasta they prepared for her. We are very lucky to live near such a gem
Restaurant ambience and staff lovely. Food very nice however we felt the explanation re portion size confusing, the next time we visit will have a better idea of what to order. Slightly on the pricier side as but that is reflected on ambience and quality so whilst we will be back it will be for special occasion rather than every day dining.
Absolutely gorgeous food and lovely friendly service
Our experience at arte e pasta was outstanding - excellent service and incredibly delicious food, cocktails and wine, we cannot wait to come back! Thank you.
Delicious independently sourced food and great service. Loved our meal at Arte e Pasta and will be back.
Delicious food, excellent service and will definitely return 😍
Heard nothing but great things about Arte e pasta and it didn’t disappoint. The suggestion to order one dish between 2 people at each course was spot on. Overall great tasting food, friendly service and good vibes!
Hands down the Italian in London. Incredible food, great atmosphere and super warm staff makes this a real neighbourhood gem.
Wonderfule Italian food and great service. Shame about the manager who only let us know about the 2 hour time limit in arrival.
We had a really lovely lunch, food is amazing quality but not overally expensive, and the wine was great too. The restaurant has tons of character and we loved the art on display. Can't wait to go back!
Lovely restaurant and great food. The service was good, but they're definitely still finding their feet and could be improved. Also, I was told the mixologist couldn't make a margarita, which was disappointing.
A lovely relaxed atmosphere with attentive and knowledgable staff. The food was truly delicious. We shall be returning!
Wonderful place, great food and delicious drinks. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. Will be going back!
Nice small plates. The pasta dishes were slightly bland although the pasta was cooked perfectly. Very good wine list.
Very good service and lovely food. They even gave us a cheeky free shot at the end. Thank you.
Really wonderful dinner at Arte e pasta. Incredibly friendly staff guided us through the menu and helped us with recommendations. Each dish was top quality. Was a lovely space too, and somewhere we’ll definitely return to for a treat.
Amazing food, Great service, Loved it, Highly recommend
The food was delicious, especially the beef cheek ragu and the bruschetta. And the staff were very attentive. However, we did have a few issues. Firstly, all our food came out at once, every course! It literally all came within 20 minutes of sitting down which is ridiculous when you're trying to have a relaxed dinner. I sent the mains back and asked them to wait 20 minutes which they agreed to. Queue over an hour later and no mains. We had to ask for them in the end, for which the staff were apologetic. It did feel quite chaotic in there, and we had to ask for our drinks 3 times. I would also say that the cocktails are VERY overpriced. £12 for a cocktail is excessive, even for London. Lastly, the men's toilet lock wasn't working. The toilet is literally in the restaurant and quite a few men got walked in on, with people in the restaurant seeing them, this is really not OK and should be fixed ASAP
