   It was our first time at this restaurant and although we had made a reservation for two upon our arrival, we were told that they did not have a table for two and asked if we would mind sitting in their outdoor seating area. Because it was a chilly evening and no one was sitting outside, we said no to sitting outside and they asked if we would mind a table in their pizza restaurant next door and reluctantly agreed. Judging by the number of patrons, this restaurant is very popular and with the exception of the bread they provided, we found the food exceptional and the table service exemplary,all of which was tarnished by us being shuffled around because they did not have a table for two but there were many open tables for four available in the main restaurant.

   This was one of the best Italian meals we’ve had. Such a great little hole in the wall. Adorable decor and ambiance was charming. Service was wonderful and food was amazing.

   An absolutely amazing meal! The only negative is the noise level. We will return for another delicious meal.

   We had a reservation for 6:30pm. We had seen this place on Instagram and it’s beautiful inside and on the main patio. There’s the main restaurant area and the patio, then there’s an add on patio on the pizza take out side which is essentially overflow. Despite our reservation, we were seated in the overflow spot outside with no heat lamp (we asked and they had no propane and said they couldn’t move us inside). Service and food were lackluster at best. Food came out cold. The busser who attempted to help with the propane was the highlight, very nice man! Overall experience, very disappointing.

   Beware, items are overpriced. Since we had a party of seven, the waiter recommended getting a family style appetizer which had a large selection of what Aromi offers. What he didn't tell us was that it was full priced appetizers which totaled $136. For our party of seven, the total bill was over $750, for lackluster apps and entrees. This included the forced gratuity of 20% for barely adequate service. This was our first and last visit to Aromi.

   Aromi is our favorite Italian food restaurant in all of San Diego! They have the best of everything on the menu from bruschetta and arancini for appetizers, to every pasta, they are all amazing! My husband loves the steak too! The table side tiramisu is to die for! We always order 2 because we love it so much! Our family builds restaurants here in San Diego and when I say Aromi is the best of the best for Italian food, I mean it! The staff is always so nice and accommodating and the owner is so kind and friendly! The style and vibe of Aromi is soooo cute on the inside and out!

    Our waiter Brad was the highlight of the evening. He had outstanding energy and a great vibe about him. I am sure he is paid well but, I would hire Brad and 10 friends just like him for my business! Pay him more to keep that enthusiasm alive, he was shockingly great! Food was great, everything was on point as far as beating our expectations for our first time visiting this establishment. Bottle of wine, appetizer, main course meal, and dessert for two set us back $170 bucks, coupled that with the impressive service was appropriate. Our only negative on the entire experience was that the place is loud. The environment is pretty fun and open but it was loud enough I could not have a conversation without extreme focus on listening to what my wife was saying! This is not a typical Italian decor where its dark and poorly lit with booths of lattice and tacky autographed bottles hanging around. This place looks and feels clean, the food and service was on point, and we will be back!
