- Waitstaff wear masks
8oz. filet of grilled fresh red snapper served on sizzling skillet with grilled onions, peppers, and tomato and accompanied by fresh flour tortillas, Mexican rice and refried beans
Homemade flour tortillas with mozzarella cheese and a choice of sautéed vegetables or chorizo
8oz. fresh cut boneless ribeye cooked to perfection served with two cheddar cheese enchiladas topped with chili con carne sauce
The waiter was inattentive, I had to flag him down many times to order more drinks. The rice was undercooked and the chicken was tough/rubbery. The worst part we’re the fruit flies that kept us waiving them off the entire time. I was reminded of the last time I was there and they had the same problems. I won’t be back. It’s unfortunate because it’s a cool place with good ambiance.
... Yes................... Mmm.. Yes very good. Highly recommended
Service was very rush.
I had forgotten how fantastic Armandos is. It was a very busy Thursday eve with many celebrations but the food was prepared perfectly, the wait staff attentive and the margarita just right. Just a wonderful eve.
It was good service and drinks. Food was okay.
Great service. Food was outstanding.
Great Mother’s Day lunch experience. As usual the food and service, from reception to bartender to wait staff was outstanding.
The food was good as usual, but several things listed on the menu were not available -- Like Chili Relleno, Flautas, etc>. What's the deal? When questioned, the waiter said they would likely be available later in the evening. I don't get it.
Excellent snapper and service! Haven't been here in over 4 years bc of bad event...now will add it back to our rotation...Food is still excellent....
Tuna tacos perfection.
I love Armando‘s, but I was very disappointed. They were understaffed and people were having to ask for menus and water. The staff was amazing and very accommodating but you could tell they were very overwhelmed. The food was so so and my rice was undercooked. I had to tell the manager that the ladies bathroom was extremely dirty. I don’t know what’s going on lately but it’s not the same. I’m not going to give up because I believe that it is just difficult to get good help these days. I do think that the manager could’ve helped out some instead of standing around behind the counter.
It was too loud for my comfort. It might be that the tables around us were loud but no one asked them to tone down a little.
The food and service was excellent!!! But it was way too loud for us. Next time we come we will request a quieter table. My husband has hearing aids and we couldn't hear each talk.
It was amazing, the food was good! The Margaritas are delicious! I ended up drunk but that’s okay! Lol I highly recommend!
Our waiter, Jorge was excellent. One of the best waiters we have encountered. The crab enchiladas were delicious, as was the snapper special. I had the ribeye enchiladas and it was very good. The frozen margaritas were delicious and very strong. The best in Houston! The only thing that was not great was the queso, it was lukewarm not hot. I really like this place but wish the noise level was lower.
Birthday dinner. Food and drinks overpriced in comparison to similar restaurants. Amazing service!
We always enjoy the food and service at Armando's, but on this particular evening, we were not seated in the main dining room and it was even more enjoyable than usual. We had a nice quiet corner and had the most pleasant dining experience we have had there.
Amazing food and experience!
The service is so personable, the atmosphere so fun and the food so delicious!
Great Margaritas, enchiladas and faijitas. Best Queso Flameado in Houston
Hi Adam! We are so happy you had a good experience and took the time to let everyone know. We hope you will be back soon and often.
Food was outstanding as always. We always enjoy ourselves.
It was a different experience from what we are used to here. Although the service was friendly, it was extremely slow. We arrived at 6:00 before the crowd but didn’t receive our food until 7:30. Our food was cold on arrival. This is one of our favorite restaurants so we were disappointed!
Allowed to be seated early. Wonderful service, attention. Every dish was thoroughly enjoyed, as were the margaritas.
Beautiful high-end restaurant
Our first time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed it!
It was busy and it felt like our waiter didn’t have the time to spend. Drink/wine pours were not very generous for the money. Deserts were outstanding.
Always excellent food and service. One of my all time favorites, visiting often.
Great service. Very fun.
The decor is definitely “classic supper club” with dim lighting cloaking rich reds, wood fixtures, and crisp white tables. I found the cheese enchiladas and beef tacos to be top notch. The drinks were good, but a bit pricey. Chips were promptly replenished and hot... some at my table did not care for the salsa (also served heated), but I enjoyed it and the queso was excellent.
Armandos is Armandos. Some of the best beans in existence but super heavy. Rest of food is fine but not really top-level Tex-Mex. Friendly service and good margs.
Food was great. Service great. Salsa was watery as hell.
Everything was delightful. Service excellent, food perfect, ambience friendly and enjoyable. Great place to celebrate a fun birthday!
I’m not shy in saying that Armando’s is my favorite restaurant in Houston. I’ve been going there since I moved here in 1979. This last visit was not a special occasion but we always go here for my birthday.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend
Dedicated to the public. Worst storm in a long time and the staff braved it the day after the shut down to help feed people who had not prepared well. Great experience. Power went out half way through but that didn’t stop them. People ordered under cellphone flashlight ambience and drank good margaritas. A+ for effort and dedication to it local clientele.
i loved the whole thing about the place, it was amazing and the food was great. i went on valentine’s day so the place was romantic.
By far, the best Mexican Food in Houston
The food was really good & the spacing in the dining area was fine, but I’m not sure if they were short staffed or what, but the service was really slow. Slow to bring drinks, slow to refill waters.... ate so many chips that I ended up taking half my meal home. Hadn’t been there in forever so was looking forward to the treat, but left disappointed.
Return visit. Same super service and wonderful food. Definitely a favorite place to dine out.
Drinks, seafood and chicken mole tacos were outstanding. The chips, salsa and combo plates were average.
This was our first time visiting and we wont be back. The noise level was off the charts. Could barely hear the person sitting across from me. Food was lackluster and we rarely saw our waiter.
