   We are so lucky to have this wonderful spot in our neighbourhood. The atmosphere is perfect, wine selection interesting, fun and special, but the food… brilliant. We enjoyed the oysters, then shared a beautiful, fresh and balanced gem salad with pistachios and rhubarb. One main was the duck which we’ve had before - so good, amazingly tender and crazy delicious fries. The other main was the rabbit leg and honestly I haven’t had anything as delicious and lovely as this in quite some time. The brilliant (how did I never think of this) dessert was pecan pie with blue cheese. (We usually get the cheese and maple.) Sublime. I am going to try this idea when making maple pouding chômeur. Thank you so much to everyone on the team for what you do which made our impromptu Thursday night date so good.

   Our Arlo experience was terrific. From cocktail to dessert, each dish was well balanced and so flavourful. Out of a table for four, everyone was delighted. The quality of ingredients is excellent and it is truly a small, no nonsense menu which delivers delicious options.. The service was outstanding from door to door. Thank you to everyone at Arlo for your welcoming professionalism and expertise.

   Great ambiance, service and food. Highly suggest. Not inexpensive but worth it. Just great!

   The food, wine and staff were absolutely amazing! Our waitress was knowledgeable on wine pairings and was spot on with her suggestions. The majority of the menu was gf as well! Highly recommend.

   Arlo hit it out of the park was last night. The meal was the best I have had in a restaurant EVER. The wine list is always interesting and delicious but last night’s orange wine and Spanish red were both delicious but also perfectly paired with the eclectic flavours on my plate. The Sommelier and Server were knowledgeable, fun, attentive and essentially perfect. It was an experience to be repeated and I would highly recommend it to everyone in Ottawa. 1000 stars!!!!

   Sometimes when you return to a place you have loved - the magic is gone - not at Arlo - the return was just as wonderful as the first - service, food, suggestions - all fantastic.!!!

   Wonderful service, food was delicious, well prepared, tasty and light. The portions were very generous, more than what you normally get at that price point. Highly recommend and looking forward to trying it again

   I rarely buy into hype. Everyone was telling me how great Arlo was but I had to see for myself. And was I ever delighted. I remember the days of truly feeling taken care of when I went out. But ever since Covid, I could really feel how tight the margins were at restaurants. It’s as if I could feel the tension between providing excellent experiences and just keeping the doors open. Being at Arlo was like stepping back to a time where every detail was considered and valuing guests was the #1 priority. It was evident how the down to earth staff felt a sense of ownership over our experience. Attentive but not intrusive, helpful but not pushy and generally attuned and kind. The food was delicious. The ribeye was standout. Satisfying, humble, and absolutely satisfying. Really loved our experience and recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out.

    Incredible meal and service! The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was fast, attentive and knowledgeable. Would eat there again and highly recommend!
