Arlo Grey is the LINE's lakeside restaurant by award-winning chef and author, and current host of Top Chef, Kristen Kish. At Arlo Grey, Kish and Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz dig deep into the bountiful ingredients of Central Texas to create a mix of dishes. The restaurant reflects Kristen's playful yet refined cuisine, pulling inspiration from her classical training as a well as nostalgic dishes that highlight her upbringing and love of travel. Come by for a casual, comfortable experience and a menu designed to nourish the soul.

Reservations are highly recommended. Valet parking is available for $12 for 3 hours with validation.

My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The menu was very limited and lacked variety. The presentation of the dishes was poor, and the flavors weren’t particularly good. The service was average at best — nothing special. I honestly expected a much better experience overall.

We ordered six dishes, five of which were AMAZING! Service was frustratingly not great. The hostess was somewhat unwelcoming and unpleasant and the waiter knew nothing about the food or chef and admitted he had a really crummy palate. That would be fine, but then he needed to study up. For the prices there and the celebrity of the chef, it was embarrassing.

I so badly wanted to love this place. Valet service was nice, but still had to pay $15 for parking and that was after validation. I can’t remember the last time I had to pay for parking with valet service at an Austin restaurant, and we eat out a lot. There were maybe 3 tables when we got there so it was very quiet. Server was nice. We were excited to try the oyster mushroom appetizer but it was so incredibly sweet. It would have been much worse if not for the yogurt sauce it came with to cut the sweetness. My date chose the lasagna and I chose the duck ragu pasta. Both were good, but neither dish wowed us. The cocktails were great and the wine was good, but everything was just underwhelming. Their menu was also different on the website than at the table, so my date was disappointed he didn’t get to try the dish he had his heart set on. Sadly, our experience at Arlo Grey was a disappointment. The biggest plus was the ambiance; very pretty inside with nice lake view.

Mixed Experience at Arlo Grey – Amazing Pasta, Disappointing Halibut & Misleading Cheesecake We recently dined at Arlo Grey and left with mixed feelings. The halibut was unfortunately a big miss—dry and underwhelming, especially given the price point. We also assumed our parking would be fully validated after dining, but we were only given a discount. A frustrating surprise that felt misleading. On a brighter note, the pasta dishes were the stars of the night. The rigatoni and duck ragù were absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and beautifully executed. The lasagna came in third for us—not bad at all, just not on the same level as the other two. A huge shoutout to Melanie, the manager, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She handled our feedback with grace and even removed a few plates we didn’t enjoy. Her professionalism made a real difference. One last note: the matcha cheesecake needs a clearer description. It’s a Japanese-style cheesecake, not the rich and creamy traditional kind we were expecting. If that had been clearer on the menu, we might have opted for something else. Beautiful space and lovely service, but the food was hit or miss, and expectations weren’t always aligned.

Disappointing Return Visit – Won’t Be Back We decided to give this restaurant a second chance after a lackluster first visit, but unfortunately, it confirmed our initial impressions. From the start, the experience was underwhelming. The hostess was chilly and unwelcoming, seating us in an empty section of the restaurant near a noisy serving station, despite plenty of better options available. We ordered five dishes—only two were memorable, while the rest were bland and forgettable. For a restaurant with such a high-profile name attached, we expected far better execution and flavor. What really stood out, though, was the lack of professionalism. Staff were using the private dining room as a break area, with personal belongings scattered around and the curtain left wide open. It gave the whole place a disorganized and careless vibe. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed to have my name, Kristin Kish, associated with this establishment. We gave it two chances, and that’s more than enough. We won’t be returning.

A celebration for my wife and I and birthday for a granddaughter. Just the three of us. Must say overall is was pretty good. The decor is questionable. I mean, huge metal looking bullets and (maybe) shotgun shells in bold gold hanging everywhere from the ceiling? What IS that? The service is good. The wrong wines were served. We took them without saying anything..The rice dish is interesting. A lot going on there..Paste spirals were great. Lasagna is not really that..It's good, but so small. We did love the flavors and it seemed like mushrooms were in every dish we ordered. Are we craving to go back..not really, but would definatley go back for happy hour. Also, they do not take cash.
