As would be expected, excellent food from Chef Kish. And our service from Spencer was top notch!
Best date ever, even got to go with the most beautiful girl!
Amazing bourbon cocktail! The food was precise and incredible!
Except for the waitress who kept trying to clean our plates while they were still full, everything was great.
This was my first time dining at Arlo Grey since the start of the pandemic. Although the menu has changed, the high quality of the food and service has not. The staff was personable and attentive while the food was beyond delicious. I look forward to my next visit.
Pretty place. Service was below average. Loved the Crispy Rice but actually sent the smothered chicken back.
Service was great but the food was very subpar for the level of hype this restaurant has. Would not go back.
How refreshing to have high-end, foodie worthy, dining in a hotel. And, not be over priced. I booked the reservation, because I recognized the chef's name, I didn't realize it was hotel dining or I would have skipped it. Thankfully, for a new discovery in Austin!
We had such an amazing time, the food, ambiance and our server was top notch. Want to go back asap!
Food was very good. Views of the lake. Expensive.
We had the best dinner at Arlo. The food was amazing and the staff wonderful. We loved the vibe and experience
Food and service were fantastic! Charlie was great!
I think the inly thing that is a disservice is allowing a sloppy dress code. there were many patrons who were just underdressed and made it feel less high end than it should
The food and drinks was wonderfully made. My wife and I along with our friends thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. But, the service and the time it took to prep the main course was very slow. It took some time for our wagyu beef dish to arrive. We anticipated after our appetizers and small dish entrees were finished that the main course would be at our table soon. Instead, we order another round of drinks and continued to munch on our small dish items for quite some time. We asked the waitress why the main course took so long. The waitress stated that the wagyu required time to prep. Overall the beginning of the dinner was phenomenal, but the ending was lackluster. We will have to reconsider venturing out to the restaurant in the future.
There is so much goodness going on in this restaurant; from the waitstaff to the cocktails, to the mindfulness of the food, I don't have an adequate vocabulary to exalt this establishment. Your bill could be expensive, but I was not disappointed. In fact, I would eat there weekly if I could.
From the moment we got there for our anniversary we were met with issues. Instead of congratulations or a cheerful hello we were immediately told “ you can’t go to your table until you wear a mask” right after the hostess pulls hers up as we walked up to her. In no way was it ever communicated that they would refuse to seat us if we didn’t have a mask. When we asked them for one they said they didn’t have any. We booked over a month in advance and was in the hotel and bar with no mask and never had an issue. ( the restaurant is open to the lobby which had dozens of people with no masks) But we couldn’t walk 15 feet to our table without one. It just ruined the mood of the evening. I respect the establishments rules but at least prepare yourself to have masks if you require it when it’s not a hotel requirement and not posted anywhere to notify customers prior to coming. Also The pork came out well done and my husbands steak came out rare and cold. Overall not worth the $500 bill we had.
The food was incredible and service was even better.
This place is amazing. They made green olives taste amazing which I didn’t think was possible. The server was amazing and gave great recommendations. We will def be going back. Some of the best food we’ve eaten.
The food here is amazing, you really can’t go wrong with any dish. But! If i had to recommend anything, it would be the mafaldini, the crispy rice, the grilled sourdough, the tea thyme cocktail… what really elevates the experience is the superb staff — they really make every visit special. Oh and if you can’t snag a reservation, just head in a little early and grab a spot at the bar.
First time dining here, great experience. Started with my new favorite bartender, Daniel , while we were waiting for our table, engaging and energetic bar experience. The crispy rice and malfaldini paste were fantastic. The halibut and pork were great as well. Looking forward to dine here again.
Absolutely amazing food and service!
The entire staff treated my family so sweetly and we’re very accommodating of our needs. My mother was thrilled at every turn and I couldn’t have imagined amor lovely time. Thank you so much to everyone there.
Great food, enthusiastic service, poor experience with front of the house. Left waiting for a table only to be offered the end of the banquette in the bar area. Why bother making a reservation only to be directed to the worst table in the room? Overall interactions with the host give a poor impression of the restaurant...waiting too long to be seated with many available tables, the host forgetting our names during what she termed the "check-in" process, overhearing the host inquire about overflowing trash cans at the bar. A few tweaks in this area could go a long way. Lastly, don't pass on the cocktails...very well done!
Food was unusual and everything was delicious.
Just so so.
Our server was not very good. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took around 20 to 25 minutes to arrive and after that another server taught our server how to open it and both had a casual conversation between them. At this restaurant and the pricey being paid I expect the server to be already trained. Also after we ordered 3 plates - one being the waygu ribeye 20oz for 2 people, the server told us our old was too light and said we should had a salad. We told her we ordered plenty of food and did end up bring home leftOver steak. Her comment about our order was off putting and a bad way to upsell. Our server also only check on us at least 10 minutes after each dish came out so it is a good thing we didn’t have any issues.
The food was excellent but service was terrible which may be the reason I do not go back or recommend to friends.
Derive was great and food was delicious. Prices were not too terrible but I’ve had similar level and style of cuisine for a more affordable price.
Everything was great! The only thing for improvement was speed on making drinks. However, probably for the best! Nadia (I hope that's how you spell her name?), was extremely lovely talking on the phone the day before the reservation, and we were lucky enough to have her as our waitress. I know it may be dumb, but I was really impressed that she remembered we were from Seattle. She probably is chatting with people all day long and we had a quick conversation on the phone and it was nice to be remembered. She had phenomenal menu knowledge, she wanted to make sure we were leaving happy and full; I really appreciated that she guided us with choices that complimented other dishes we definitely wanted rather than just "adding on". Loved the experience!

Absolutely fantastic food in a beautiful setting. Our table of 6 was well taken care of and we ordered nearly one of everything on the menu. They also made some nice substitutions for the vegetarian eater with us.
Incredible service from Stephanie - unusual but superb flavor combinations. Lives up to the hype
We had an amazing visit at Arlo Grey. Every dish we had was amazing. The standouts were the halibut, torn pasta, and crispy rice dishes. The cocktail menu complemented the food well. The restaurant has a very beautiful setting and has a relaxed, calming vibe. Our table was close to the lobby and it was very quiet. There are a lot of great restaurants in Austin. This is one of the best.
We came here for a birthday celebration and had the best service and food!! I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Arlo Grey for making a special occasion even better!
Great food, slow & clunky service
I never review restaurants because I worked in the industry for twenty years and am very particular. This was great: some unexpected flavors and textures that played well together and really exceptional service from bar to server to food runner.
From the valet to the restaurant staff, everyone was super friendly. Food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend!
Wonderful food and drink selection. Great decor and wonderful staff.
Waited a long time for a host to take us to the table. We had a reservation and said it was a special event (anniversary) but it was never acknowledged. The drinks were good, and probably the best things we had. Most of the dishes were just ok, nothing stand out. The best thing we had was the olives and bread, but the chucks of bread were so large they were hard to eat, and the olives were whole so wouldn’t stay on the bread. For a $200 dinner on a special night, it was disappointing
Delicious food, friendly service by people who really care about their craft. A beautiful experience, highly recommended.
Everything was wonderful!!
