The place was gorgeous! It did give the vibe of Italy. I loved how they had someone playing the accordion in the background. The food and service was amazing! Tyler was our waiter and the food runners, Kaylee and Nico did a great job. They were very quick with serving our food and cleaning up the table before the next course came by. Tyler was nice to greet us on celebrating our 8th year anniversary and ended the night with the assistant chef with our complementary dessert. Overall, this place was worth trying for the first time and I wouldn't mind coming back again.

I have been going to this restaurant regularly for the last 5 years. I always wonder why you need 4 hostess. They are always talking amount themselves and does not cater to the clients.

What a great experience here! Oak was our server and she provided us with over the top service! Oak was very knowledgeable on all areas of the menu and she helped make this day extra special for my wife’s 30th birthday! My wife had tasting special menu for the 10th anniversary and I had the Tagliatelle al Frutti di Mare HIGHLY recommend it! Overall I couldn’t have asked for better food, service or an experience! Thank you to Oak and the team for making this a special dinner!

As usual the food was awesome! Went with my husband to celebrate my birthday. We had the bagna cauda, great garlicky anchovy sauce. Next was the carpaccio octopus which was tender and delicious. We shared the seafood pasta. Delicious! Lastly we had the fish cooked in the salt cap. So moist and fresh. Awesome dinner. They gave us a small dessert which was very nice. Walked away very full and happy!

We sat on the patio which is also near the drop off of hotel guests. The ambience was nice inside but while the view outside was nothing special. Our Sea Bass was cooked perfect while the overall flavor and basil spices were not special. We liked the Italian salami platter very much. Service was very good and appreciated Tyler. The cost for 2 was over $400 with 4 cocktails so seemed pricey given all factors.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our birthdays together, and it was an unforgettable evening. The food was absolutely outstanding, every bite bursting with flavor. The service was top-notch, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Oak. Despite the restaurant being busy, Oak was incredibly attentive and made us feel truly cared for. She went above and beyond with her excellent recommendations. The ambiance was perfect - a great buzz without being too noisy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced our overall experience. This restaurant exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return.

The world food tour made a stop in Italy, Arancino at The Kahala. It had been two years since we last dined here and we heard they made changes to their menu so we looked forward to our visit. We began with a 2015 Paulownia, a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon I hadn’t seen before. Limited production; just 134 cases produced. It featured notes of dark fruit, chocolate and a hint of coffee; I really liked this wine and want to find more. We paired the wine with the Affetato Misto, a charcuterie board that featured five kinds of cured meats, bits of parmigiano Reggiano, gherkins and pitted green olives. On the side were little pillows of fried bread; these were scrumptious! We ordered three mains, spaghetti ai Ricci di Mare, a personal favorite of mine, Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and Pizza Carbonara as the food duo can never get enough of guanciale (sort of like bacon) and Waimanalo TKG eggs. The spaghetti Carbonara was redolent in truffle oil but we put it over the top by adding shaved truffles ($30). The intoxicating scent of truffles was “to die” for. My Ricci di Mare was fine but I sensed a difference … I couldn’t place it but it wasn’t quite the “to die for” dish I remember. It didn’t stop me from cleaning my plate with some of the pillows from the misto. The Pizza Carbonara was served last and we ended up taking more than half of it home. It was delicious and the scent of truffles was heavenly but I had eaten too many bread pillows. The crust was a little too soft in the center but the edges were perfect. The richness of the TKG yolk made it a luscious dish. We didn’t have room for dessert though several sounded tempting. I had a French Press coffee; no Americano for me. Final thoughts? We enjoyed our dinner. Service by Mike and Corie was professional and unobtrusive. The pace was leisurely, which we enjoyed. Too many restaurants now seem to want to rush you or place a time limit on your stay; we find that to be overbearing and dampens our experience. Recommended!

We celebrated a birthday and my guest felt special. Our server greeted her with happy birthday. They provided a beautiful happy birthday dessert. The food and ambience was perfect. After dinner we took a romantic moonlight stroll through the hotel grounds. A perfect evening.

We were blessed with a gift card to dine there. We had the caprese (excellent, didnt realize that there was a pesto squeeze stick in the burrata till the end ) Arancini was a tasty, interesting item Bolognese pasta was excellent, Shrimp pizza was ok, personally, I would have liked some zesty red sauce added. The service was efficient, non intrusive.. We were overdressed, many people were very casually dressed. Overall an enjoyable experience, 4 hour parking validation allows you to take a stroll afterward around the hotel grounds..

Food was good in general, service was not what I would expect at Kahala. While the server was friendly, it was slow and they kept mixing up our drinks and dishes. We had spa treatments prior, then dinner and they tried to charge us $30 for parking, even with a validation. Probably won't be running back soon
