   Very good meal. Nice selection. Wines were good. Love the fact that the family owners are there.

   After reading the reviews in CT Magazine, I had high expectations for a memorable evening. While I can’t say anything was unsatisfactory, the meal lacked the wow factor I was anticipating. Their usually limited menu was even more limited on Valentine Day weekend. All four in our party had previewed the online menu and had already picked out our favorites, included appetizers. None appeared on the Valentines menu. While we expected robust pricing for Wilton, a $5 charge for sharing appetizers was rather absurd, and a first for me. The restaurant is small, and two tables of boisterous guests made normal conversation difficult . Unfortunately, a rather common occurrence in restaurants these days. It was a long ride from New Haven County that I don’t plan on taking again any time soon.

   This was the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian dining!

   All the food we ate (party of 4) was good. Not great just good and my feeling was it would have been just as easy to make at home. The only great compliment was on the muscles which were very well received. CHicken Scarpiello had no sausage and only a few red peppers, not very hot. The atmosphere and service were wonderful. I guess my expectations on this our first visit were set to high.

   I have decided to stop eating in restaurants where the noise level is so loud that I cannot have a conversation with my partner. Open Table calls it energetic. I call it very unpleasant and rude.

   We stopped for dinner following our daughters local swim meet on Saturday 1/18. After a day of being wet and cold and fighting a snow storm, we were happy to enjoy a lovely dinner at Aranci. The ambience was quite relaxing, overlooking the town center white washed in snow. The pasta dishes we had were superb. Linguini Bolognese, Rigatoni with Chicken and Eggplant..Wine was luscious. Service was very attentive. A great finish to a long winter day!

   Service felt like we were at home. Presentation was excellent and food was enjoyed by all. Certainly worth a dinner out with friends, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy.
