   Superb, chef prepared meals, excellent service, a beautiful historic building, and a grand view of Lake Lure. I've eaten there a number of times, and never been disappointed. The lodge also has a fine bar. Well worth a drive from Asheville or elsewhere!

   Exceptional food from appetizers to desert. Beautiful view of Lake Lure. Two people, two appetizers, couldn’t finish mains so we would have room for desert. It was well worth it!

   We had another amazing dinner at Appalachia. We love the atmosphere along with the great customer service we receive every time we visit. The food is amazing!!

   This is a beautiful spot at Lake Lure. Tables overlooking Lake Lure. Seasonal menu and always delicious. We celebrated our anniversary and spent the night at the Lodge at Lake Lure, which is attached to the restaurant. Wonderful experience.

   Appalachia keeps it fresh with constant menu updates and new surprises every visit. There is always something on the menu that just grabs you instantly and you know you have to try it. Their execution is flawless, resulting in a spectacular experience every time. Can’t wait to go back!

    The menu was diverse and made selection difficult, and the food was amazing! Everyone at our table was delighted with their choices. Service was prompt and polite and neither fussy nor overly familiar. The decor is spot-on perfection for the location and architecture and the view cannot be beat. The entire property is gorgeous and welcoming. This is my fourth visit to Appalachian and I will definitely return despite living in another state. Cannot recommend highly enough!
