    Overall good, a but lot of little things conspired to make this not as good as I had hoped. Stained menu, dirty table were off putting from the start. Cute place and tasty food. Service was “ok”, could have saved the day but was just ok.

    Absolutely the best wine selection in town second to Chandler’s and such beautiful Ambiance. We waited about 20 minutes for our appetizers and received prompt service. Dinner took about 40 minutes to come out but we expect that in a scratch made kitchen. The Beef Bourguignon was fantastic as always and we also tried the Pomodoro with the fixings of the Ciopinno. We will definitely be ordering that again and would love to see that as an option on the menu! Reading the reviews, I must say I hate to see a small restaurant like this get so many negative reviews during fly season — we live a block away and we know Hyde Park gets hit bad. A restaurant can’t control the flies that exist outside but I know this place is doing what they can to provide a great experience through it all. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner!!

    Another great experience! The wine selection is so solid, I have something different every time. And as far as food goes, I love how much care and effort they put into each plate. The garnishes are so fun and the character of this place makes it one of the most unique and enjoyable restaurants in Boise. Guaranteed

    Unfortunate. Been here many times, before, and had a great experience. This lunch was regrettable…food quality was shocking…Brussels sprouts were old, underdone. Just bad. Outdoor tables not bussed for the entire meal so flies were everywhere. Nobody around to fill water glasses…I had to go inside and ask for some water, myself. People lining up outside for a table but nobody there to address them, so business was lost. Disappointing.

    This is my third time to this restaurant. The food is always tasty. It takes some time to get your food though. Our appetizer & main course came out at the same time which was a shame because our main was cold by the time we ate it since we started with the appetizer. Our waiter was nice, he checked in enough but not to many times.

    We dined outside on a Friday night - Apercina is located in a great neighborhood with lots of foot traffic so the people watching was great! Seating was not very comfortable and the two-top tables are extremely small. We quickly ran out of room with a bottle of wine and an appetizer. The shop next door had live acoustic music outside, which made the atmosphere so much better. Service is slow but normal for a European experience so we didn’t mind. Servers had no knowledge of their wine, so choosing from Italian and French wines we didn’t know was like throwing a dart in the dark but we ended up with a very nice bottle in spite of it all. The food was good - not outstanding- but good. Online the dress code was “smart casual”, I would say it was casual: I in a casual dress and him in a button down shirt, we were overdressed. Would we dine here again? Yes. Could they improve on some things, yes.

    I had the French Onion Soup and the Ragu served over fettuccine Both were delicious. I'm somewhat of a French Onion Soup devoté. My wife and I spend 8 to 12 weeks in France every year and I make it a point to have French Onion Soup (soupe à l'oignon) in every restaurant that serves it. So about 50 to 70 times per year. Each is slightly different. I found the Apericena version ( based on a chicken broth rather than a beef broth) to have a surprising depth of flavor. It was a little lighter on the cheese topping than most, so a little less authentic, but I think I prefer the Apericena version overall. The Ragu was rich, hearty and delicious. The fettuccine appeared to be homemade and was perfectly cooked.

    We had such a beautiful dining experience. Apericena is very inviting and I love the overall casual but elevated vibe. The food was beautiful. My husband tried the seasonal penne and he loved it. I got the boeuf bourguignon(don’t ask me to pronounce that haha!) and it was very tasty and a great portion. We also had the whipped feta as a starter—my husband, myself and our toddler loved every bit of it. We cleaned the plate. We’ll definitely be back to try more items at apericena

    We ate at this restaurant in August at which time the food was very good and the service very slow which we attributed to the presence of a group of 16 celebrating a birthday. Our recent dinner also had slow service and the food this time uneven with some dishes very good and others (garden lasagna) less appealing. The cheese on top of the lasagna had broken that detracted from the overall appeal. The bread we ordered came over 5 minutes AFTER our dinner was served. The wine list was good but 2 of our first requests were out of stock.

    Fabulous meal dining in at Apericena. We searched for a food-centric restaurant while visiting Boise and this was an excellent choice. Definitely order the Bruchette appetizer. The tomatoes and burrata plus the warm bread were amazing. Best latte I have ever had!

    We dined on the patio. Though they were almost full last night the noise level was low. The babbling sound of water along the north side of the patio is very relaxing. Indoors the noise level is higher. This was our 3rd visit and we will return soon. Jennifer was our server. She is very knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu. French onion soup is delicious. Bon Appe’tit !

    This was an amazing find! We love Hyde Park and we are thrilled that found this treasure. The outdoor seating was perfect - lighting, music and overall feel. Our server was on top of everything. He took great care of us. But our food was the best thing of the evening! So delicious! So fresh! Simply a night to remember. We will definitely be recommending to all and we will be returning for more. They did a wonderful job!

    Apericena is a great addition to the dining scene in Hyde Park. I had reserved a table inside knowing that the evening was going to be chilly. When the inside dining area is full it is loud, but overall manageable for conversation. The patio is lovely. Michael, our server, and everyone on staff are friendly and gracious. The food is prepared with really excellent creativity, totally delicious, beautifully presented. The desserts were stellar. Good wine selection at reasonable prices. Apericena adds a bit more upscale approach to the Hyde Park neighborhood. Can't wait to go again!

    I love this resturant and have been many times but last night was not their night. We went on a tuesday night and the food was not as good as it usually is. And we sat inside and we had flies flying all around us all night. Great resturant but need to clean a few things up.

    We dined here when they first opened and had an excellent experience. No complaints and we were excited to return. However, our dining experience inside yesterday was underwhelming and we will not be back. The tablecloth wasn't clean, extreme number of flies inside, and the dish I ordered was very different from the last time I ordered it. In fact I only had 3 bites of it and it sat in front of me until the rest of the table was finished before I was asked how I enjoyed my meal. Additionally, my husband's salmon smelled and tasted fishy. Hopefully this was just an off night. Unfortunately, I don't think we will return anytime soon.

    Had takeout from this restaurant and it was great. In person experience not so good. Hostess gave away our inside table reservation and then made excuses why that happened... outside got to share our food with the flies, which is why i specifically made a reservation for inside. The wine list is lacking, especially for whites. The lamb Bolognese was very good. The vegetable lasagna was terrible... bechamel sauce was gummy, to many vegetables, way too much sage, plus came out room temperature on the inside (the chef should taste his food before sending it out and if he did, then his taste buds are faulty). They offer no salads, which makes them a half-baked Italian restaurant... maybe they should convert into a simple pizza place?

    Great gluten free options and clear explanations of what is in the food - if you have Celiac or non celiac gluten sensitivity it is very safe place to eat and the food is tasty and delicious!

    We were very surprised to fine a last minute reservations at Apericrna after hearing so many excellent things about their food. Overall the food was okay, with the exception of the Whipped feta, which was very good.

    The lamb bolognas was outstanding as was the vegetable lasagna. Service was a bit slow to start probably because there was a group of 15 celebrating a birthday. Our server did his best to keep us abreast and we appreciated him telling us the kitchen might be backed up because of the group. Outdoor dining was delightful. Highly recommended and will return again to try other dishes.

    While images online of Apericena's entrees looked delicious, they fell short on flavor with two entrees ordered. It's unfortunate, as we were looking forward to the Vegan Lasagna and Lamb Bolognese. Both lacked 'punch' from herbs or aromatics. If they were used, it was with a light hand. Neither of the entrees were completely eaten, nor boxed to go home with us due to that lack of flavor. Perhaps it was on 'off' night.

    Flies, flies flies! We sat inside and it was impossible to enjoy our meal having to constantly shoo away flies from landing on our food. A couple of staff members came over and swatted flies on the window near our table during our meal and it was disgusting. The food was ok. They forgot the salad dressing. Such a bummer

    This was our first time at Apericena and we will definitely be back. Our party of 4 had the bruschetta appetizer and 4 different entrees. All were very good, but our favorites were the vegetable lasagna, to which we added the meat sauce, and the orrecchiette. Our server was very helpful and friendly, as was the entire staff. We highly recommend you try it out!

    This was our first time dinning here. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the food but blown away I was. I had the seasonal penne. The dish included chicken and asparagus with a creamy cheese sauce. I also drank a splendid Italian Pinot Gregio, yum. The black coffee was soooo good. I'd go back just for the coffee!
