Small restaurant located in a 150 year old Charleston single house, affiliated with the Taco Spot, located next door. Southern hot tamales are our house speciality - a combination of Mississippi delta and Texas style - we start with organic yellow corn from Wisconsin, which we nixtamalize and grind ourselves to make our masa. We have two kinds of tamales, a red chili chicken and citrus roasted pork. Our nachos are baked to order. We deliver from our sister restaurant, the Taco Spot. #1 recommendation are the blackened fish tacos with a crunchy corn shells. We have a wonderful cocktail menu along with a wine list and from scratch dessert menu. Delicious house margarita made with our own margarita mix, and the Picador, the original margarita cocktail made with Don Julio blanco, Cointreau and fresh squeezed lime juice. We fresh squeeze all our lime, lemon, grapefruit and orange juice daily. Hope to see you soon!

Service was excellent as well as the food. Met the gracious owner who made us feel most welcomed. As locals we will be returning again for dinner in the near future.

The special tamale of the day was Chicken we visited Apartment A,we ordered 4 along with a variety of taco offerings. The tamales are delicious and we ended up ordering 4 to take back to the hotel for a late snack!

                                                                                                              Had great service! My husband loves tamales,but did not taste fresh. Overall food could be better seasoned,just alittle bland. Margahritas were very good!
