   When is a reservation not a reservation? At this Mistake On The Lake! After I made a reservation early in the week, they texted and emailed and to confirm my reservation. Early Saturday afternoon, they called to confirm- everything was set. About an hour prior to my 8:00pm reservation, they called and left a message that they "suspended" my reservation because of a wedding! What, this wedding party just happened to pop in Saturday afternoon without notice??? Highly unlikely, so I called asked why they took a reservation AND CONFIRMED IT if they knew a wedding would cause a complication. They couldn't answer that, but I was told by the hostess that Anthony said that they might be able to accommodate us later (2 of us). I inquired as to why I should trust them to come because their management showed that they may sit us later or maybe even not at all! They couldn't answer that either. Everyone knows how difficult it is to get an 8:00pm dinner reservation on Long Island, so I was left to scramble. Do yourself a favor, skip this place, and go to a restaurant that actually understands the meaning of 'reservations'! BEWARE!!!

   Went with friends and my girl, service was truly awful. Had I known it’s a venue I probably wouldn’t have bothered making reservations. We ordered appetizers and honestly took forever, we ended up just leaving. Thankfully the manager was able to understand what we experienced and waived our tab completely.

   It was a little weird at 1st because nobody greeted us, but the overall experience was nice. The food was very good, I would definitely go back

   We walked into the restaurant we were treated like children , we sat down and looked at the menu looked at the situation we put ourselves in by coming to this restaurant and instantly thought back on our decision. He stayed for about 10 minutes trying to see if we can deal with the noise level and with the crowd but absolutely not it was unbearable. There was live music so loud you could not hear yourself think, it was an older crowd and being that we were only 21 years old we decided it was not for us not our crowd and not our restaurant. As leaving we told the man it was not for us and to have a good day. I received attitude and a look on my way out. We left and then went to another restaurant in Smithtown and had one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time :). Anthonys on the lake what a great location and property, what terrible service

   The service was awful. Two waitresses for the entire restaurant. The hostess who checked us in was extremely rude. So rude from start to finish. Other diners were also complaining about her horrible, awful attitude. Wonderful waitress but she was waiting on too many tables . The band saved the night.

   This is actually the Windows on the lake catering hall. And unfortunately, the food was exactly that, catering hall food… It was OK, nothing special especially not for the price fix price tag… We were not informed of this until we arrived at the establishment and seated, not during the reservation process, not in the advertising for the event. I suppose it wouldn’t been bad as a $100 night total but at the 175 including tip for two people I certainly would’ve chosen to go elsewhere. The waiters in the management did not seem to be on the same page service was very slow as well.

   Went there on a Wed. night. The service was slow. Waited 20 minutes for drinks. The place had 1 table when we arrived and another 2 tables while we were waiting. The music was so loud we had to leave. Went up to the bar to pay the check. When the waiter ask for the tip amount I said I'll pay that in cash, which I did. I was in a rush to leave and when I got home I notice on the receipt that there is a line for Gratuity also a line for a tip? Never saw this in my life. They added 20% tip on the bill. So on $129.80 bill the tip was $75.96!! I'll be calling American Express.

   This was our second time dining at Anthony's On The Lake. We enjoy listening to their live music while we eat. Long Island does not have many places with live music anymore. So we are thrilled to find a restaurant with good food and entertainment and the view of the lake is beautiful. It was a little chilly but we walked out to the water where they had a few chairs that we were able to use and sit and watch the sunset. We will definitely be back for more music and more of their calamari and their spareribs. Not one to get spareribs out but these were delish!

   The food and the live music were absolutely amazing. Every time Mikey came by our table he stopped to see how everything was going and was right on top of anything we needed. Can’t wait to go back and try something different on the menu. I recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.

    The food was great. Welcomed by a live 5 piece band that had good talent and a wide variety of music. The owner were right there to greet you and visit you to assure we were having a incredible experience. Thanks Ellen and Anthony. George
