Anthera at the Cliffrose Lodge in Springdale is located less than a quarter mile from the entrance of Zion National Park. Anthera is a Social plate experience offering regional new american cuisine with an emphasis on south western united states as well as south eastern asian Inspired Cuisine.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and this was our only dinner here. Food was excellent. Service was terrible. We were 1 of 2 tables at the time (6pm) with what appeared to be 3 waitstaff plus hostess and it took 15 minutes to get drinks. She also just came up to the table and said “would you like any alcohol? Oh are you 21?” First off, off putting. Secondly I’m 31 and he’s 40 and we do not look like teenagers.Our waitress did not ask us about the soup or salad that came with our meals so my husband said something at the end of us ordering and she says “oh yeah sure” and he ordered soup and I ordered salad. The soup and salad never came. Our steaks were excellent. Then when the bill came we said we never got our soup and salad- she laughed and said “oh I forgot to put it in! I was so busy getting your drinks (which were LEMONADES)” She never apologized and just stared at us and says they aren’t on the bill. My husband says they aren’t because they are supposed to come with dinner. She then apologized and gave us 20% off. Terrible service with a few tables. I would not come back for dinner- there are several other nice restaurants in town with great meals and better service. We have had lovely servers for breakfast every day and the food is excellent. Sometimes a bit slow, but never a major issue.

I really wanted to love this place. So much potential in such a beautiful area. If we could sit outside it would have been better but too cold. Tables are tightly packed. The food has wayyy too many side options going on. It’s too much. You get soup or salad plus 2-3 sides with dinner so we couldn’t take leftovers with us since we were traveling. There were only 2 servers but only 6 tables booked and they kept disappearing. The menu is strange. Maybe good for breakfast but nothing really goes together and compliments the mains ( sides) The lamb was ok but the prices are way too high. They could cut back on sides and portions and make a lot more money. I’d try it again because of the location but they need to rework their menu and they were out of a lot of the things on drink menu.

They were out of at least three bottles of wine we ordered. It was the strangest restaurant experience in a long time. The server, her first day, was as gracious as she could be under the circumstances out of her control. The food was fine.

Really lovely restaurant, made great by the exceptional serving staff. Tiffany was just wonderful, we would loved for her to pull up a chair, have a glass of wine and keep on chatting. She was great! The live music was perfect until he finished too early at 8pm! The background ambiance of his guitar and great voice was perfect, have no idea why he had to finish so early and the staff didn’t play music through a sound system? Food was ok but the service and location more than made up for it!

We loved the live music and view. We liked the food but was bummed that our appetizer came the same time as our main dishes. Drinks were so so. Service was a bit slow but really nice

Large group at the restaurant. They were unable to provide service for quite some time. Servers made an effort but were unable to deal with the situation. Seems to be a management issue.

We dined here for dinner & bfast and it was not worth it. They were out of a lot of things, e.g. certain wines, gin, English muffins. We had the flank steak and it was really mediocre. The singer who entertained us at dinner was delightful. The service was decent. But for the prices, you’re better off dining elsewhere.

We were seated at restaurant and the first sign of trouble was they didn’t have enough menus. We were seated and waited We watched for 15 minutes while the staff talked at the bar. No one greeted us or gave us water or asked us to be patient they would be right with us. Nothing. So we asked if someone was going to help us. They said they were busy and they would be with us as soon as they could. The other two folks who came in after us had same experience. All of us left. Would not recommend
