Angelo's Pizza Parlor And-a-more
We arrived at Angelo’s and were told that they didn’t take reservations. They said we could have the next table in about 20 minutes. When we inquired about an empty table, we were told that it was reserved for someone else. I did not see until later that we had received an email canceling the reservation. I never had that happen on Open Table before. We left because had Theater reservations and went to another nearby restaurant. We will never return.
Angelo's on the Riverwalk was a great experience! We sat on the patio which was fantastic. The salads and pizza were fresh and better than expected. Only hiccup was the service, I felted we could've been contacted sooner in order to order drinks etc. But after that our server was great as well! I highly recommend and will be going back myself!
We came from NM because we had heard that this place was really good and worth the trip. Not even close. No sooner than we were seated an employee dropped some marinara sauce and my white pants got splashed pretty good. While the young woman tried to help me get the sauce off, no one from management ever checked on me nor did anyone seem to care. Maybe that's the way things are done in Pueblo or here but I would have expected some effort on the part of management to make sure I was comfortable. As for the pizza it was not nearly as good as promoted. None of the ingredients stood out and the over all pie was just OK. We did not think the food was worth the price, the service was a bit slow and we see no reason to go back. Just another pizza place - and not real good.
Great spot for childhood friends to reconnect!! Great food, excellent service, cute location and super friendly to the wallet!
We arrived per reservation and were seated. Half of our party had not arrived, so we ordered appetizers and refreshments. When the rest of our party arrived, we ordered. Being seated downstairs, we were next to all the lower waitresses who were not yet engaged with serving. Two were rolling silver ware, while the others stood about and talked, were on their phones, or discussing what was on the television. In the meantime, our glasses sat empty. This wasn't just for a minute or two, but several...to the point that I asked the servers rolling the silverware to please get our remaining party their drinks and refill ours. It was 100 degrees outside. One employee was working absolutely her hardest...not standing talking, not on her phone, and bringing supplies in. We won't be recommending or returning.
We had a 6 p.m. reservation and we arrived 10 minutes early and got immediately seated. So far so good. Downhill after that tho ... Server took our drink orders and returned about 10 minutes later, dropped them off quickly and then said she'd be right back to get our food order and rushed off. Never saw her again at all anywhere for almost 20 minutes, so I went over to a waitess in another area and politely asked her if she knew where our server was as we needed to order to get to a live show across the street by 7:45 at the latest. She took an instant attitude and not about the missing server but towards me. So I just said sorry and thanks. No response back from her. Our server then showed up another 5 minutes later w/no apology nor explanation but w/an attitude and just said "I'm BUSY" in an annoyed way when i once again said sorry, i needed to go find out where you were as we're on a time schedule now. She did give me the choice of my salmon to be seared (which she said is raw in the middle) or medium or well-done. I answered medium. I DEFINITELY received dried and overcooked well-done. Of course, at this point, i didn't say anything about it. Figured the cook most likely had the same attitude as both waitresses had. I have zero desire to ever inadvertently make a cook mad and maybe he was erroneously told well-done by her. By the time the food arrived and we'd eaten, it was 7:35 which was ok since we just had to walk across the street to the Memorial Hall where our pre-ticketed event was. Long story short, place was VERY noisy and conversation was hard to hear & do without shouting above it and food was mediocre and service was kinda poor. We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant for the first time (we're new transplants here) and were sadly underwhelmed. Thankfully, Ron White's professional hilarious show tho made up for the poor pre-dining experience . (yes, i still tipped anyway even tho I realize I shouldn't have.)
The food was tasty, although it took nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I watched one group come in ten minutes or so after us, sat at the bar, and had finished their food and were leaving as our food arrived. There were empty tables in the restaurant so it wasn’t due to being busy.
I was very upset that we didn’t seem to be taken seriously, but as always the food was delicious.
Great food, good value. When we arrived, hostess told us our reservation was not valid because there were four of us and they only take reservations for six or more. Why does site allow to make reservations for four?
Amazing food and service. This place definitely lives up to the hype!
I have always enjoyed eating at Angelo's, however on my last visit I ordered the clams. There was plenty of pasta but barely any clams. I won't order that again, but I will be back.
The date was horrible but the food, drink and view of the Riverwalk made up for it. I'm so thankful to be sat at a table with a view...it gave me something to look at.
Terrible service, awful seating, food was just ok. Waitress was not friendly.
I specified in my reservation we were celebrating a birthday and that went completely ignored. Table was downstairs, and unless you are lucky enough to have a seat by the window- if feels like a basement. Food was ok. Service was a bit slow. Food was good. Overall a “meh” of an experience.
I enjoyed the pizza! We also appreciate the military discount for all military, not just active duty.
Gluten Free pizza good, but a bit pricy. overall worth a visit. Will return
The food is always fantastic from the appetizers and salads to pizza and entrees, it never disappoints! It is delicious!
Great pizza and great view. Service was terrific on this visit.
Love eating here! They are great with kids! We have had one slow experience and the rest have been awesome!!
It took over an hour to be served and then the food came out cold.
we arrived , with reservations, at 6pm... our food arrived at 7:24.. our concert started at 7;30... never offered to adjust our tab, the manager was useless in helping.. there were three couples,, we will repeat what happened to our friends and relatives. Will not eat there again.
The food gave me nausea in my stomach .. maybe the cheese was bad not sure .. ordered the lasagna
It hardly had red sauces., very dry
The waitress made us ask for our check 3 times and we barely made our show at the Memorial Hall on time
Salad had more garlic than should have
Tasted like a garlic salad ..
Good food, good service. Definitely coming back.
We had and excellent dinner. It was quite crowded and the kitchen was a bit slow on this night. Once the crowd thinned out some items cam out faster from the kitchen. Fettuccine Alfredo was excellent as were the Brooklyn rolls. The chicken scaloppine large enough to share with lots of good garlic flavor!
My wife and I think this may have been the best pizza we have ever had. BUT, it was not warm and certainly not hot - nor were our appetizers. In talking to our server we learned that the food can sit a while before it gets delivered based on who is running up and down the steps to get the food. I guess the kitchen in up a couple of levels. :-(. That would explain that lack of trips to check in on us and ask if we wanted more beverages. Which we did and ended up leaving to go across the river for drinks. But, again, this may have been the best pizza ever EVEN not being hot. We were in Town for the State Fair and the chances of us being back in Pueblo are slim. But we would eat on the main floor and not on the river walk, if we go again.
Great food! Did not like the downstairs area for eating.
Not bad we were seated for 6 right away. Our table attendant was not attentive enough. She did not ask for any drink refills at anytime. She only came back to give me the check. As I waited another 10 minutes for her to come back and get my payment. The food was great
We love Angelos. One of our family favorites. Location is great. Food is delicious. Service is always good. Can’t go wrong here.
We love the pizza! It was outstanding. Good reason to travel to Pueblo CO back again.
Food is pretty good but On the pricey side. Come hungry but not too hungry. Service is ok but one of those situations where large parties get all the attention and you two are waiting forever for your check
Made reservations for patio seating. When we checked in we were told that patio is "first come, first served", but they were accomodating and put us 2nd on the list with less than a 15 minute wait. Very comfortable sitting on the patio. Service was adequate (never got my side salad). Alfredo and salmon salad were very good. We were not rushed and enjoyed our evening.
Stopped here on our way back to Texas — what an incredible treat! Fantastic pizza by the Riverwalk!
Amazing staff and food will defiently be returning..
LOVED the pizza! It really is the real deal. Great patio area right on the Riverwalk and friendly service, we will be back.
Food was excellent. There was a mix up with our reservations. Our party (6) arrived at different times the first 2 were set downstairs and the other 4 we sat on the main level. It took about 30 min. to realize where the other 2 were. ☹ Waiteress was kind of rude, she took our drink order twice before we received our drinks and seemed to be distracted.
I ordered a salad which I did not get until I reminded the waitress of and received it when half my meal was eaten. Service I would rate poor. However, Food and atmosphere was excellent.
Wasn’t impressed. Decent pizza but service was not good.
We had reservations for 530 which we got seated very quickly. After that it all when down hill. waited for our waitress and when she did arrive and took our drink order it took at least 10 min to get them. We ordered our meal and she stated she would be "right back" with our salads, just so happened about 15 min later we had to ask her for them...we finally got our meal which was good...but by the time she came back with our ticket was 650 and she put it on the table and said she would be back at that time I told her we were going to the concert next door at 7:00 and that I would just pay her because we didn't have time to wait any longer and that I would just pay the bill.
