   The food was fantastic. Service was very attentive. I think it is a hidden gem.

   Arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. (No one was waiting at 7pm on a Saturday night) we were brought waters while we chose drinks. When the waitress came back I chose a wine on the menu. They didn’t have it, so I chose another. They didn’t have that one either so I said never mind I’ll drink water. She brought out another wine not on the menu, but I didn’t care for it. The waitress then walked away. Didn’t ask my boyfriend what he would like to drink. We sat and waited for her to come back for a few minutes, but she didn’t so we left. We can’t speak to the food, because we didn’t eat there, but the service could use work.

   Great selection of Japanese cuisines, including at least 4 excellent rolls (we were hungry!). Nice to see a place with anago :)

   good sushi place in a city that has lots of poor ones. ery quiet when we went, but service was good and food fresh. I will come again

   Sorry Andy, lots of clutter on and around sushi bar counter, side tables stocked with table settings out in the open and used as staging table for dirty dishes as customer tables are being cleared. The place just doesn’t look clean and the cloth table napkins stunk. We watched one sushi chef come from behind the sushi bar, still wearing his surgical gloves, help clean a used table, put the dirty dishes on the out in the open staging table next to what looked like clean tableware and return to the sushi preparation area. He was wearing surgical gloves the entire tine and we could tell he was washing his hands but we didn’t see him change his gloves throughout that process. There are too many other sushi places in Walnut Creek that have much better atmosphere, good sushi and follow clean practices. The Andy’s place server and sushi chefs (one might have been Andy) were very cordial, however first appearances set the stage for everything else and this stage is pretty messy, cluttered and comes off as less than cleanly.

   Service was great, warm and friendly server and sushi chef- our food was mediocre at best

   It took over an hour to get our food. We watched people come and go as we waited. We asked several times and were told it was coming. Turns out our order didn’t get turned in. They also have a thriving take out business. I would choose that next time.

   We were a party of five and we ordered five rolls to share. They were just outstanding. Very tasty and had a generous portion of fish on top (unlike other restaurants). The staff were very nice.

    below average food with inexplicable service standards. we should not have stayed when it was completely empty when we showed up during dinner hours.
