Best Steak tried other stuff and it was fine but if you enjoy a perfect amazing steak like I do then make a reservation now and run to support this family owned business
Amazing food with beautiful views! This will definitely be a regular date spot!
We had a nearly perfect date on Sunday afternoon. The drive to Sweet was so picturesque and the view from the patio at Anderson is truly lovely. The food was great, especially the Peanut Butter dessert. I had the vegetarian dish and my husband had big old steak. We were both quite happy. The house red was delicious, too. The staff were all kind and readily available when we needed things.
There was a boisterous woman at another table who sort of dominated the patio, she wasn't rude, just rather loud and attention seeking. Not sure that could have been helped and it will not prohibit us from coming back soon.
Excellent wait staff, great view and building, steak was so tender you really didn't need a steak knife. We will be back.
Great food. Beautiful location. You can tell by the quality of the food that they know what they are doing and put a great deal of care into their work.
Great new spot for dinner or lunch. Watch your beef being cut through the butcher window. Enjoy good food and music and a beautiful venue. We ate on an empty patio with a gorgeous serene view, an experience you'd never find in Boise on a Friday night.
Amazing, even had a lower table for my grandma so she didn’t have to try and get into a high top. Excellent service. Excellent food.
We love this place and the people there. Food is very good and well worth the drive.
Steak tasted good but need more than just a dollop of potatoes for $48. Salmon was wonderful. Beautiful scenery. Chairs around barrel tables not super comfortable. Owners very friendly!
First visit after recommendation given. Found an excellent steak dinner that was beyond the expectations. Lovely location, a beautiful drive, and friendly prompt service. Will return often. Well done!
Great venue, loved the views. Service was a bit slow, food and wine was great, would suggest real napkins and steak knives..
Fabulous! Cant wait to return. Everything what delicious and service was great. Beautiful setting
2 of the 3 meals were excellent (finger steaks and T-bone steak). However, the prime rib was the wrong temperature. I ordered medium rare and what I got was medium well/well done. Otherwise, the meals were excellent as expected....I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.
Would like to see expanded menu options also.
Had a great trip to Sweet Idaho! Enjoyed chatting with the owner Paul and hearing his Idaho story!!
Best filet mignon steak I’ve ever had. Melted in my mouth. Didn’t even serve it with a steak knife, because you could cut it with a butter knife.
Enjoyed Dinner for that matter the whole experience. Have family in from out of state and all are requesting we go again.
One suggestion is that you have available Highchairs for toddlers to that are 6”-10” higher.
Hope Dennis enjoyed the Brisket, see you in a few weeks.
My filet was wonderful but the t-none wasn’t the best and it was on the thin side. We’d spend a few more dollars for a thicker t-bone. Appetizer soup was delicious and so was the dessert. The guitar player started the evening out at a nice mellow level but got more and more loud as more people came. We weren’t drinking (hearing is one of the first senses to go while drinking) but the music was too loud and so the crowd was getting louder when we left.
Will go again for a second try before we make a final decision on the restaurant.
Outstanding service-friendly, enjoyed helping you have a wonderful dining experience. Excellent food presentation, prepared perfectly. Paul Anderson (owner) and family made you feel that you were having dinner at their home. And you could not ask for a more beautiful location. Definitely will return many times in the future
My husband and I were there to celebrate our anniversary and also get out to eat for first time since CIVID 19 hit!
It was so wonderful! Service excellent! Food and wine delicious! A perfect day and place to celebrate. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service, food and ambiance
We had a wonderful evening at Anderson Reserve! It was extremely busy, but the patio was so nice we almost didn't notice the wait time for the food. The staff is all very friendly and kind. Also, the food was well worth the wait! The steaks were very flavorful and the sides were delicious. We will definitely be back!
Food was absolutely fantastic. One of the best tasting meals i have had in all of Idaho.
My son and I really enjoyed your restaurant. It was truly perfection in every way. We were there for brunch and now looking forward to going back for dinner.
Excellent food, excellent service, great view and excellent entertainment from acoustic guitarist Wayne Wright. Great place to go for a good steak and great evening out.
From the stunning interiors and ambiance to the exceptional hospitality, Anderson Reserve is a one-of-a-kind experience in rural Idaho. We especially loved the charcuterie board and went home with fresh, cut to order steaks for another night. Anderson Reserve is a special place!
We reserved a Saturday evening time anticipating a great meal based on recommendation from several friends. Our expectations were exceeded!
The service is welcoming and pleasant. The views from the loft are pastoral and serene. The live guitar instrumental music complemented the ambience. The menu, which varies frequently, is simple to navigate yet offers excellent choices along with wine pairing.
The house salad is fresh with homemade dressing. The aged filet of beef with smoked bacon and prawns was delicious, the salmon was served with a wonderful Bernaise sauce. Both presentations were appealing and included fresh veggies and potatoes. The flavors were complex and satisfying.
We enjoyed an excellent dining experience and will return again for another special occasion.
Beautiful! Staff is fun attentive and the food was amazing!
Steak was great
Creative menu! The steaks and salmon were prepared to perfection and paired with unique sides. We really liked the lemon cake for dessert. And my husband took home a quart of the pepper soup for the next day!
Loved it! Food was on point our service was great.
Our Sunday brunch was amazing. The service was great. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. We will definitely be returning next time to try their dinner menu.
We have now been to the restaurant 8 to 9 times, each time they have surpassed our expectations. The staff is professional and timely and the cuisine is suburb!
Incredible atmosphere, food was 5 stars. Will be going back again and again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The atmosphere is wonderful and enhanced that night with entertainment from Billy Braun. The view of snow capped mountains was wonderful and the service by the staff was excellent, especially Samantha! We had a filet and ribeye and they were excellent! The chef is allowed to be creative and the menu changes weekly, never boring! Highly recommend.
Well, we were looking forward to this dinner all day, and I’m sorry to say we were very disappointed. We ordered the $32 steak and it said “chefs choice” on the potatoes, I was expecting something to match the price of that steak, nope, it came with about six French fries ( pretty lazy on the chefs part) The steak was not cooked properly, I ordered it mid-rare but it was way over cooked on one side and barley cooked on the other and zero seasoning. The $15 burger had more fries than the steak. They use that word “chef & fine dinning” but the portions are off for the prices and the food isn’t up to par, sorry but we won’t be back. A bad chef can single handedly ruin a restaurant, but the place is beautiful!!!
The entire experience was superb! The only reason we gave 4-stars for the food is we had Sunday Brunch which was very good, but simple. We plan to return in March for my wife’s birthday dinner and will update our rating after that encounter. For Sunday Brunch we ordered the Famous Phemia and shared so we could sample an array of their menu items and have the Strawberry Cheesecake. So delicious! It was a drive from Caldwell, but well worth it.
We loved our experience at Anderson Reserve! The barn is beautiful, we loved the live music and our t-bone steaks were truly some of the best we've ever had! The only complaint we had was that the service was quite slow throughout the night. We were seated for quite some time before ordering and there was a mix-up with our appetizer and it ended up coming out along with our entrees. We did have to wait for a table as well, despite having reservations. These were minor, issues, however, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Anderson Reserve to anyone looking for a fabulous meal in a beautiful, welcoming setting.
The steaks were good, but somewhat bland. For the prices charged, I would have expected better flavors. One out of three ribeye steaks was mostly fat.
It was a nice drive to get to Anderson Reserve. The food was delicious, the ambiance even better. We both had the Prime Grand Filet, it came with 2 scallops which were cooked perfectly. Each meal came with soup or salad, we had one of each. The salad was nothing to write home about but was simple and good. The soup was a shrimp bisque and was delicious. Their deserts were also delicious. I wish they had more interesting salad options but overall it was well worth the drive and money. We will be going back.
I can’t say enough about how attentive the staff at Anderson Reserve was during our night out for dinner! There is a magic to experiencing a small business with passionate owners and operators, and the magic was in full effect last night. The “barn” was beautiful, the live music was impressive, and the food was great. 👍👍
