The food and service were wonderful! What a great place to spend a special occasion. It was worth the drive, and we will definitely will be back again.
Excellent food, beautiful building and surroundings but for the price you pay needs better seating/tables (very uncomfortable to sit on a wood bar stool) utensils should be replaced with each course change, table needs to be kept clean/cleared and the waiter/waitress needs to be better trained to allow more time to enjoy the food and overall experience of the restaurant. We felt rushed in the beginning but were able to politely let the server know we needed more time to finish each course; we were offered to-go boxes after barely taking a few bites of our meal (there was only one other table that just arrived when we were asked that). We came early to avoid a crowd (which we did) so we could enjoy the evening (but felt we were let down). I would like to go again but am very weary to pay such a big price for the food when the overall experience and enjoyment were a big let down, however, I would like to give them another chance and would recommend to a friend with the above warnings. I think everyone deserve another chance to improve and I believe they can if the truly read these reviews and do better with their service.
Food was great as always. The service was good too. We sat outside, with the smoke, but it wasn't that noticeable. Everyone is very friendly.
Love the people, great service and food flavor was amazing, my only small complaint was for this price I expected my steak to be a little thicker, but that said super flavorful and cooked to perfection
The steaks were fantastic! Veggies were barely cooked. 😔 Our first time trying bone marrow; wasn’t our cup of tea. Glad to have a nicer restaurant near by. Will be going back again.
Awsome food, service and atmosphere
Finger steaks were good. Filet Mignon was overcooked for a medium and dry. Rib Eye was undercooked for a medium and was tough, Very overpriced at $48 per plate for the quality. Didn't complain (our bad) but may consider another try just in case it was an off night. Very disappointed after hearing such great things.
Excellent service one of a kind view food was pared and spiced to perfection
Wow. Service was awesome and the food was incredible. Highly recommend coming here!
Two weeks in a row for brunch. Our only disappointment was the menu didn’t change. But you will not be disappointed by the food and the service. The saki Bloody Mary is awesome.
Excellent food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Staff and management very personable.
Amazing food, amazing owners, will be back!
The place looks amazing, and has a great staff. The food was good...but not drive 45 minutes out of town and pay $50 for a steak good. Wife had the pork chop and it was a little overdone, the steak was good quality meat, but nothing overly special. That said, you can't beat the ambiance and the people were fantastic.
We went to Anderson Reserve to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary. The experience was wonderful. Great Service and great food. They were coming by often to make sure that our food was as expected and it was....fantastic. Haley was our server and she was such a joy, so happy and positive. The music was great, such a nice variety of songs. We enjoyed our evening so much. Thank you to the Anderson Family. Looking forward to our next visit.
The landscaping and back patio are so cute with a nice view of green farmland. The inside is very nice with a cozy little wine bar. The food was very good, we shared finger steaks and a Cesar salad. The finger steaks were very tender! I would definitely go back.
server was Joseph..only his fourth day on the job...did an excellent job of taking care of our every needs.
we ate burgers....meat was very tender and very tasty
atmosphere was casual at lunch time..blue jeans and shorts were worn by all.
Would have been four or five stars overall, but none of the staff were wearing masks.
In these times that's just nuts.
OpenTable advised the dress code was "business casual," which is how we and other guests were dressed. However, while the impression of the venue seems to expect at least a business casual sense, the style was varied and the typical guest was "smart casual" with a collard shirt (blue jeans to biker leathers to golf shorts). The GM made our acquaintance and our rapport immediately felt as familiar as being long time friends. We took our time dining inside and then enjoyed lounging on the patio while we listened to a very talented harp-guitarist. We'll definitely be back and will bring friends along next time!
The restaurant is very nice, food very good, service and setting also. We may not go there again because they do not respect customers enough to wear masks at this critical time. Too bad!
has to be one of the best restaurants in the valley. Chef Joe is on top of his game with every meal sent out
It's always a treat to visit Anderson Reserve. A couple of snags with this visit included no response to calls made to change our reservation count. We knew you were full so this was disconcerting. Also, apparently your regular menu was online so no one was aware it was a "brunch."
Fantastic venue with unbelievable atmosphere on the patio. A little noisy inside with all the hard surfaces. Food was SUPERB and serviced by Wait Staff that are friendly and warm to the customer. Would highly encourage anyone looking for a good steak and great glass of wine or looking for something off the beaten path gastronomically and physically to dine here once. Warning: you will be hooked.
Service was incredible, food was melt in your mouth magical, the ambiance and scenery was everything we could have asked for. Some live music and finding a special treat for dessert was extra special. Highly recommend!
Food was great. Service was good. We had a great time. Thanks
The service was great and the atmosphere lovely. The food was just ok, the entree was very bland and we had to keep adding salt from the little packets we received. It was a 1.5 hour trip for us to get there. The drive was nice but won’t be going back.
Our first visit was good and we will return. We had lunch. The highlights were the wonderful outdoor setting with the view of the butte for a backdrop. The flavor of all the food was perfect. The salted caramel cake we shared for dessert was one of the most pleasing deserts I have had anywhere. The hangar steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The only quibble with the food is that the pasta in the entree with mussels was undercooked making for a chewey dish. Our server was young, ernest, and friendly but could have been more attentive. We had to keep asking for simple items such as a spoon to use when eating linguine, steak sauce, and water refills. A bit more training would help.
As far as value for money spent, Anderson Reserve is just a bit pricey. But, when considering the setting, it is worth it for special occasions. Also, the house red wine from St. Chappelle was fantastic.
Lunch was very nice. A bit pricey, but well prepared and tasty. Not rushed. Lovely patio setting.
Amazing!! Our new favorite restaurant, the food was great and the staff was on point. The Owner Paul came out and talked with us. Very nice to have the owner come out and introduce himself. We will tell everyone to go here!!
My husband and I took my in laws to Anderson to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was excellent. This is a great place to go for birthday dinner, anniversary or just want to leave the city. It was so quiet and peaceful. I wish they had a little boutique that sold French country decor, more Anderson Reserve merchandise, etc. if they had, this would have been my go to place to shop and eat. Heck, it’s still my go to for a very nice dinner. Excellent place
My husband and I wanted to pick a very special place to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. Anderson Reserve exceeded our expectations. We have been on 6 star cruises, and the food was unmatched! Our server was excellent as well. This is a place to wow your guests when they visit Idaho!
Thanks very much for a great evening!
The food was spectacular and the place was nice yet comfortable. Scenic and rustic yet elegant. Will be returning.
I thought it was a lovely meal and appreciated the music. I have never paid that much for a meal and was worried it wouldn't be fabulous, but it was. Our server was super cute and personable... Everyone was friendly and not snobby at all. Thanks guys.
Paul and his crew did an amazing job with our group and accommodating some last minute changes to our reservation.
Excellent dinner. Owners were very friendly as was the staff. Great food and great service. Only 45 minutes from Meridian. You really should go, it is a great experience.
Overall a good experience and the quality of the food was fantastic. A couple things we noted were that because of the stools and table style, we would not be able to bring our parents (who would be in their 70’s). The stools are not very padded and they are raised, making anyone who is unstable pretty uncomfortable. I did notice patio seating that had regular chairs, but would be outside. We were there on a Friday night, so they had live music. It was a little loud, but was enjoyable. We had a party of 6, so from one end of the table to the other it was tough to hear conversation during some songs. Someone with any hearing issues would have struggled. Those are just honest observations but I will definitely return for another meal!
We have ordered from here before, but this was the first time eating in their beautiful place. Good, service and friends were perfect!!
Great Bone-in Ribeye, tender and juicy! We sat outside on the patio and the ambiance is amazing. We will make the drive from Eagle again!
Loved everything except the table and chairs were pretty uncomfortable to sit at for very long
Loved the guitar player, helped the ambiance
It was our anniversary and we enjoyed the visit it was our first time there
We would’ve liked to have been shown around the store and the wine part of the reserve.
Also upon making my reservation I did let them know that it was our anniversary I think it would’ve been nice of them to comp our dessert but overall it was very nice
Our waitress was very good and accommodating
Excellent meal, excellent wine, extraordinary live music. Very much enjoyed this evening with my wife. I can't think of a better place we have been to that had such a great feel to it. We will be back again, and again.
