Anchor Bar Michigan is “Home of the Original Buffalo Wing”! The phenomenon created in 1964 by Teressa Bellissimo has spread across the globe. Although many have tried to duplicate Buffalo Wings, the closely guarded secret recipe is what makes Frank & Teressa’s the proclaimed “Best Wings in the World.”

Located just south of downtown Rochester, north of M-59 and Rochester Road, Anchor Bar features over 15 beers on tap and many more in bottles, among other craft cocktails.

We feature a happy hour Monday - Friday 3-6pm as well as 9pm - close EVERY day of the week!

                                                                                                      Location had been open for approx. 6 months by the time we visited, so i would have thought all the operational kinks had been worked out by then. I was wrong. We visited on a saturday evening, which naturally is a busier time, but when we arrived there were still plenty of tables available. Despite this, it took my party (a family of 5) nearly 2 hours for the entire service! It probably took 20 minutes to get our first drinks, and 55 minutes to be served any food. The quality of the food was good, and our waiter and manager were very pleasant. But every time they left the table it felt like we wouldn't see them again for another 20 minutes, which is inexcusable. With the great food and ambiance, they have the elements for a successful restaurant. Just really need to speed things up to make it a winner.

                                                                                                      We have been here 3 times. The first time was fabulous. The wings were hot and crispy. The 2nd time the wings were average. The third time the wings were poor. They were not hot and they the skin was rubbery because they were not cooked well enough. I think they were surprised by the crowd. It was MSU/ UM basketball game and seemed busier then usual. This is not an excuse. This last visit might be our last time to the restaurant. It is too inconsistent to spend that kind of money on dinner. Sorry wanted to give a good rating🙁

                                                                                                      I've enjoyed the wings in Buffalo, and now they've brought them close to my home. These are the same wings as you get at the Anchor in Buffalo. The service was attentive. Management came around to ensure that everyone was satisfied. The restaurant was clean. There are plenty of TVs to catch a game. As a Bills fan, it'll be nice to have a place to watch those games next season.

                                                                                                      I truly enjoyed my experience at Anchor Bar-Rochester. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of TV's to watch the Superbowl. The food was amazing! Can't wait to go back for great food, fun, and service!

                                                                                                      For us food was slightly too salty, in the Moscow mule drink they could have a more alcohol, it was hard to detect any percentage in it. Overall atmosphere and stuff was very friendly.
