   A big disappointment overall. One server, who was clearly not up to the challenge. I am a huge fan of Turkish cuisine and found the food to be a pale imitation of the real thing. The babaganoush was inedible. We won’t be returning.

   Food, service , venue all perfect !! Lamb shank and shrimp Mediterranean plus 3 different cold mezzas to start the meal along with excellent Armenian wines. Made for a wonderful evening. Will be back for dessert and Turkish coffee.

   We found this in the local promotional magazine and loved what we found. The selection was excellent and the items we chose were just what we needed. The waitress was friendly and took extra pains to be sure the food was OK for my wife (in chemotherapy) to eat.

   Had a great experience at Anatolia on a rainy Friday night. Service was attentive but recognized that we were catching up with old friends so did not rush us. The server (I think she was one of the owners) provided great wine recommendations. Six people ordered 6 different entrees almost everyone cleaned their plate. Generous servings. I would personally recommend what I had, which was the zucchini pancakes and the lamb shawarma. Great herbs and spices. The side cabbage salad (to call it cole slaw would be an insult) is excellent. And veggies were well cooked and spiced. Everything was so flavorful and the servings were substantial. My friend said the hummus was heavy on the garlic - which I love but it was a little much for her. Highly recommend a great local restaurant!

    Excellent dinning experience. We made a late reservation 8:30. The food was so flavorful. Something about the combination of warm naan and wonderful spices, every dish was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. At 8:30, there were still tables filled with other diners. The best part of the dining experience was Sue (Not sure how to spell her name) . Sue was helpful about our food choices.And she was excited about the food and our dining experience. She was wonderful to our grandson. We dine out often, so it is very unusual for me to find something about dining new. This restruant was great!!

    Another great evening at Anatolia. We split the cheese bereg as an appetizer. Entrees were the salmon and beef kabob. Very tasty. Salmon some of the best anywhere. Good conversation with couples sitting on either side of us. Su and the whole family always go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Can’t go wrong here.

    I usually love going to Anatolia Bar and Grill but when I went last Saturday my experience was surprisingly rough. I had reservations for two and was placed elbow to elbow with strangers as tiny tables were placed near each other. We waited twenty minutes to receive our first drink and order. Our food came out fast and was delicious, but we were not waited on for the next hour. I would have liked a refill and to order desert but not one person attended us. I am very disappointed in a restaurant I have recommended to several people.

    A delightful gem. Authentic dishes presented with family heart. Flavors were amazing, and the side vegetables were the rave; portions were most generous. Everyone in our party of seven walked away very satisfied and full, with a commitment to return.

    I was pleasantly surprised how authentic the meal was. It’s a signature of Turkish and Armenian cuisine. Wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Iskender kebab and lamb chops are my most favorite. You can find 6100 Armenian wine here.

    We were visiting from out of town and read reviews online. We love Mediterranean food, so decided to check it out. Our party of seven had an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was amazing. Our waitress was absolutely delightful, and helped us to choose wonderful appetizers and desserts that satisfied everybody. Definitely a five star experience. Will be back next time we are in Williamsburg.!!!

    Well the food was mediocre. And I was disappointed and surprised. Maybe off night. Mom ordered chicken and I ordered the lamb shank. Wow on the lamb and not in a good way. It tasted a little like mutton. No spices just gray colored shank. Gulp. 😩

    First time dining here, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Shared a grape leaves starter and entree courses were the lamb chops and stuffed eggplant. Had a nice Armenian wine with our meal which was new to us. Service from Sue was great even though she was quite busy. Nice spot.

    I wasn't sure what to expect when I made a reservation for Homecoming weekend. The food was very good, in my opinion, but less adventurous eaters might like somewhere more traditional. The appetizers (trio of hummus, babganoush, and another spread was excellent, as was the homemade pita. The zucchini pancakes were fabulous. My entree, chicken schwarma and a mixture of vegetables was excellent. The Armenian wine was very good too. The service was a bit slow due to shortage of wait staff, but she was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and quiet to allow for our group of 6 to easily converse. The baklava and turkish coffee capped off a very enjoyable meal.

    Loved it! Found this place by accident on our last day in Williamsburg and we were looking for something other than “Colonial cuisine” and that was also open on a Tues (many places were closed Mon/Tues). This turned out to be our favorite stop of the trip - very friendly, Family-owned place. Accommodating of food sensitivities, and my lamb shank was delicious!
