Amy Austin offers a lively and modern dining experience with inventive dishes and a friendly, upbeat atmosphere. One of the highlights of the evening was the fermented grains. Rich, earthy, and well-balanced, it showed off the kitchen’s creativity and thoughtful approach to flavor. The scallop crudo, however, was underwhelming. The scallops were chopped into small pieces, which took away from their natural texture and freshness. A more refined presentation would have made a difference. The main course, the sirloin, was overcooked and tough. It lacked the tenderness and flavor expected from a premium cut, which was disappointing given the ambition of the menu. That said, the service was excellent. Staff were warm, attentive, and well-informed, contributing positively to the overall experience. Amy Austin has the right energy and imagination. With more consistency in execution, it could truly stand out in Dublin’s food scene.

The food was delicious and well presented. The cocktails were interesting and not the normal run of the mill type. The service was just right!

Best octopus I’ve ever had, I will seriously be thinking about it for the rest of my life. I wish I ordered 20 of them. Great wine. The quail was good, but a bit of a down note after the fantastic octopus

When I booked a “bar” sear at AA based on its mention in the Michelin App., I never expected to be seated facing a completely blank white cement wall… we should have taken the hint. While service was professional, (I will give them that), the food was disappointing at best. First course sharing of bread w/ black garlic butter was nice, the Asian trout had a coating so brittle it was almost inedible & the fish over cooked, Garden Essence w/ petite courgettes was also nice, granted, but the beef sirloin (3 slices € 25), was also over cooked and tough- our heads were spinning by then, helped only by the carafe of Albariño tap wine (€33). This place needs work is all I can recommend regardless of what Michelin thinks, sorry to say.

The first half of our meal was lovely - really enjoyed the Scallop Crudo, Fermented Grains and Halibut - however, the half bottle of Nebbiolo we ordered to go with the Strip Steak we ordered did not remotely taste like Nebbiolo and the steak came out overcooked with a huge tendon in the middle making it impossible to cut. We politely requested a new one and asked for a medium rare cook (like all the other tables around us had received), it took a long time and then still came out at a medium well. Very disappointing as this restaurant is a Bib Gourmand. Mixed bag experience- we should have stopped after our first three plates.

Very rushed, wouldn’t go back. Ordered 5 courses and received all 5 in the space of 20 minutes

The black garlic butter and the halibut were exceptional but the rest of the dishes fell short of our expectation. Great service, that was good
