Corn Tortilla Chips & Salsa Fresca
Food and drinks were delicious. All the food came out very quickly, it was hot and tasty. The drinks were excellent however it took forever to get them. Not sure if that was the fault of our server or the bartender. We all just assumed they were short staffed and we were patient with them.
Amazing, great food and frozen drinks. We go all the time
Great Mexican food, well prepared
Nice variety of choices on the menu
Waitstaff great, attentive
Will definitely go back there again
All three of us loved our entrees, the service was excellent, and we were nicely shielded from the summer rain, which only added to the ambience.
Lot of sirens driving by.
Service was a little slow but good was great and worth the wait
Amazing Guacamole and extra spicy salsa! The Saludo bowl was truly spectacular!
Our first visit to Amuleto. We shared the picante guac, the cerviche, and the octopus appetizer. Small tacos and a salad bowl with shrimp completed our meal. Attentive service. Fun atmosphere and an authentic taste profile. Prices are reasonable. We will make Amuleto a regular stop for dinner.
Food and drinks were original and exceptional, service was great. Music was a tad bit loud for us at times, but not too bad.
Amuleto may or may not be the best Mexican restaurant in greater Boston, a city with a dearth of independent Mexican spots with decent menus -- but Amuleto surely is the best option in Metrowest. Staff is friendly and efficient, the interior decor is fabulously modern and sophisticated (no sad burro blankets on the walls) and their al fresco spaces along Moody Street feel like a party. Cocktails are well made and potent. And all the food I've tasted in four or five visits has been ultra-creative and top notch, at palatable prices. I've brought half a dozen friends here with me, and they all agree that Amuleto is a real find.
Amazing food! Jalapeño and shrimp stuffed tacos were incredible!
Our #1 choice for authentic Mexican cuisine in suburban Boston!
Very busy street location but little oasis for outdoor seating is lovely. Excellent house margaritas. Menu variety great. Food delicious.
Reservation was seated immediately. Seating table very good and not on top of other tables. Food quality very good with nice presentation. Comfortable atmosphere. Server nice but seemed a little hurried and could have been quicker with drinks. Overall all was a good experience. We dined there before and was reason to come again and would go back another time.
This is my favorite place on Moody and favorite Mexican food in Boston. Try the small tacos. So good!
Excellent service. Food was out of this world. The pork with tamarind sauce was bomb and the shrimp in chipotle cream sauce was divine. Wonderful evening. Cadillac margaritas perfect.
Wonderful. Even in a storm!
After more than a year of enjoying take-out from Amuleto (take-out is truly as excellent as dine-in, by the way!), it was wonderful to eat inside the restaurant once again. The chips and salsa, Don Julio margarita, and entrees were, as usual, superb. The ambience of Amuleto, though, completely added to our experience -- people having fun enjoying a meal together, having good people take care of us, culturally on-point decor. It was wonderful! So glad this Moody Street gem survived covid!
A great place overall. Unfortunately, like many places right now, very understaffed. So service was very slow. Go, but have realistic expectations, have another drink and relax.
It took about 20 minutes for a server to take our drink order. We saw tables that were seated after us place their orders before we did. When we got to ordering dinner, 2 people wanted the swordfish and after taking our order the server came back and said they were out of fish. Not good for vegetarian in our group!
upscale Mexican, great food! Best Mezcal selection!
Good atmosphere which was outside under a tent.
The tacos and margaritas were great.
We really enjoyed our meal tonight! My husbands raves about the swordfish entree ans I really enjoyed the Chile rellwno. So light and flavorful . I really appreciate the they have many vegetarian options . We will definitely be back,
Excellent service and great food. As someone that comes from the Southwest I can tell you this is the closest to real Mexican food I have found in the Boston area! The Queso Fundido is to DIE for! Lots of great vegetarian options as well.
Very good food! High quality. Slow service but very busy and probably short on staff. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Party of 8 on back patio…
Great table! Fantastic service! Enchiladas were the best!
Will definitely go back…soon!!
Family get together for first time since shut down. We ate outdoors. The space they created was lots of fun. Lovely evening! Excellent waitstaff.
I just really appreciate how this restaurant has adapted to the new way of living. It’s the same great food same great service same great fabulous stuff and it’s just a lovely ambience now outside in many different garden setting areas and street level area as well as the inside. We asked last night for a very specific accommodation on some of the food and they were lovely about it and it turned out to be delicious just like always. I really appreciate it everything the restaurant did to make our evening wonderful.
Finally an authentic delicious Mexican Restaurant! We've been looking for 20 years! One of the best margaritas I've had. Thank you to our server Hernan!
So fun to enjoy delicious Mexican food outside on Moody Street! The area has been closed to traffic and the atmosphere is very festive!
Amazing! They were so accommodating despite a packed house on a weekday night! The food and service were outstanding. This is our new spot!
It's nice to have gluten free options, but, would also be nice to have SOME options with gluten, especially for those of us who love desserts. Flan and flan-like desserts are not everyone's cup of tea.....how about a tres leches cake???
Amuleto is always superb! My son and I had tacos. They were all fantastic, but the chicken tinga and barbacoa were exceptional. The service, as always, was great!
Great service, plenty of outdoor seating available
Yummy food great margaritas!
Great food, service and music.
Chill place. Yummy fresh margaritas and small plates! Very helpful and friendly waitress.
Welcoming. Clean. Friendly staff and delicious food and drinks!
Wonderful kind service. Excellent for gluten free options - what a treat!
This is my third visit to this creative and sophisticated Mexican outpost on Waltham's culinarily-trending Moody Street, which is now closed to traffic for optimum outdoor dining. Great scene on a warm May evening, with lights and music making every table a party. The cocktails were potent, our server was fast and friendly, and altho our al fresco experience took place on a busy corner, we felt cocooned in the grassy area under the tent. All the food was sooooooo much better than any other "Mexican" restaurant in greater Boston and the value is there, too. I am reminded to come here more often ...
Unfortunately nothing was to our taste. The margarita's tasted like plastic. The guacamole was way over salted, our 6 tacos ranged from ok to unpalatable. The salsa was bland. Chips left a bad taste. Wait people were fine..but hard to find when we wanted our check. Coming from Texas we are picky about our Mexican food and in the past have found Amuleto to be better...but we won't be going again.
