Great food. Great service.
The service was top notch!!! This is not run of the mill
Mexican food, it’s more like gourmet. And high end for sure. Something for everyone. Try the grilled pulpo and braised ribs. In fact, try everything! We were too full for desert but plan on saving room for that next time. Amazing array of tequila too.
Food was excellent
The food at Amuleto is always delicious and comforting. Service is top rate and you feel very welcome. Definitely try their chicken mole and splurge on calories with the guacamole with pork belly. You can’t go wrong with any of their menu choices. Of course the tequila selections are many and varied but get a classic Cadillac margarita to start your meal.
The shrimp Diablo is excellent, and others loved the shrimp with green salsa. Drinks inventive and v good. We ate outdoors, which was heated, but there tends to be a lot of street noise (fire truck etc). Overall we had a great time, really enjoyed the meal.
Having grown up on the Mexican border, I'm fussy about Mexican food. Amuleto's is a local favorite. Great choices of small plates and large plates. Big selection of mescal and tequila, draft Mexican beers. A large staff (even during these days of understaffed restaurants) keeps everything going smoothly.
Food mediocre. The waitress forgot two items. Totally blah.
But good margaritas.
Consistently delish! The margs are outrageous - guac so fresh. The simplest salad alway the freshest ingredients - topped with perfectly seasoned and cooked tuna. The octopus and mushroom sounds like an odd pair but insane! A must! Seafood enchiladas can't be beat. Any taco is a great choice. Never have room for dessert so cannot comment. Service is the best - always.
Good food, great chips and salsa, nice outdoor option.
The tent was comfortable with background music. Drinks were excellent and the servers were prompt.
Enjoyed the food and service was great. The outdoor seating is quite comfortable under the tent in front. Recommended!
Excellent chef prepared meals that are delicious and creative. We dine here at least once a month and takeout monthly as well. Their chocolate mouse dessert is heavenly.
We enjoyed Amuleto. The service was excellent, very attentive servers. The fried plantain appetizer was adequate, while the mussels with chorizo were excellent. The pollo con mole was cooked to perfection and the mole was good. The side dish of rice could have been more interesting but it was ok. Overall a good dinner.
Lovely and warm outside space!
Amuleto is the best Mexican restaurant in the Boston area in my opinion. You can't go wrong, but some personal favorites are:
-Don Julio margarita
-Baby back ribs
-Enchiladas with chicken and mole
We always enjoy a great meal and great service at Amuleto's. We especially enjoy the outdoor dining while the weather is still good here in Boston.
Friendly staff in a great atmosphere all wrapped up with amazing food!
Not our favorite place. We sat outdoors at a "table" that was big enough for cocktails and an appetizer. The drinks were average and overpriced. Id give the food a C and it was Way Overpriced. The waiter was inattentive and slow. Based on the overpriced and poor quality of the food, we will not be going back.
Was great except outdoor waiters did not wear masks. That seemed a bit odd.
We've been here many times, and it's always nicely prepared fresh food. My only complaint this time was that they didn't have the catch of the day (halibut), so I had to substitute grilled squid. But that was excellent, nicely cooked and tender.
The halibut special was amazing. Love the outdoor dining experience
This is NOT Tex-Mex cuisine; it is authentic Mexican food. The food was very good, with great presentation. We visited on a weeknight when the trade was slow, but the service was still very slow - long waits between seeing our server.
Flavorful and unique preparations. The mole poblano sauce
is excellent. Traditional beans and rice accompaniments,
good but not remarkable. A good assortment of less usual
dishes from the more usual Tex / Mex style in our area, but
enchilados (good) and tacos (not tried) are on the menu for
those more comfortable with the familiar.
The entire experience was excellent! The food was delicious. We ate a number of small plates - including Cev de Pescado, Pilpo Asado (Grilled Octopus), camarones enchipotlados (Shrimp, quinoa, butternut squash puree), Elotes, and shrimp tacos! The highlights were the octopus and Shrimp with quinoa! The service was superb!! Will go back soon!
Best Tacos around. Great outdoor experience. Also great margaritas!
Amuleto was fine. Drinks tasted a bit fake sweet. Service was slow. Food was fine. Overall: Meh.
I think the pandemic labor shortage has had an effect on both the service and the kitchen. We waited a long time for cocktails, our entrees came before our appetizer, the entrees were… okay, and we never got the coffee we had ordered. I think that Saturday night dining out might be a thing we stop doing — I don’t blame the restaurant for being totally overwhelmed. We had eaten there in the before times and it was a very different experience.
Delicious! We loved it. Small, intimate, quick service.
Great little restaurant with a lot of outside dining. We sat under a nicely decorated tent outside on a warm New England evening. Food, service and drinks were all very good. Will definitely go back soon.
I love this restaurant. The food and service are both really good! I love their guacamole and the tacos are the perfect size. Great for lunch or dinner! Definitely recommend.
Loved our first visit to Amuleto. Outdoor seating in the tent out back was comfortable and quiet enough for easy conversation.
The sangria was delicious, the tacos varied and incredibly tasty. Friends had different enchiladas and said they were outstanding.
And...the desserts were a huge hit. We shared the flan as well as the chocolate mousse, and finished every last morsel. Both were terrific.
No complaints. Very good service, superior food and drink, and comfortable ambiance. Highly recommend...
Amuleto has fantastic, authentic Mexican food. The service is excellent. We’ll staffed and friendly
We were three adults and two children and everyone was happy and full by the end of the evening! All but one of us ordered a selection of the small tacos and they were perfect - savory with just the right amount of heat. The service was impeccable. I spilled a drink and they replaced it without question. We sat outside and it was a little noisy as Eversource was doing work at the intersection of High & Moody.
This used to be my favorite go-to restaurant. This time the service was poor and the food simply OK. They delivered the food before they brought the drinks. I explained we would like to have our drinks with the chips before the meal. So, they waited 3 minutes after serving the drinks to bring the food. Three of the dishes were cold. They have switched from baby back ribs to country ribs and what little meat there was on them was dry. Too bad....
One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Boston area. Super fresh ingredients, prepared beautifully, with great flavors. The best guacamole and margaritas anywhere, too.
We chose a random place and we were not disappointed, drinks were delicious and appetizers too. We ordered tacos and they were really good, but the barbacoa one, was too salty, other than that one we loved our choice of place.
We've returned to Amuleto several times, and each time our experience has been terrific. Great service. We've been seated outside each time, and its delightful sitting in the street - fresh and entertaining. Our food has been consistently very good. the chicken enchiladas are very tender and the sauces are delicious. We've tried all of the tacos and can't choose which is our favorite. The Margaritas are really good. We think of this as our "go to" restaurant.
Consistently good food and service! Great food with a nice variety of offerings…
Warm welcoming staff with expert service plus delicious food One of our favorites Great to be able to sit outside
Everything was great! One of my favorite place where I can eat Mexican food.
