   A Total Letdown – French in Name Only It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but when food is this disappointing, how can one stay silent? This place calls itself a French restaurant, but there’s absolutely no French influence to be found—just overpriced HYPE served with a side of pretension. Let’s start with the frog legs:; zero taste, no seasoning, just a swampy aftertaste that made me question my choices. The Caesar salad? A sad, dry pile of greens with barely any dressing—something you would expect at a fast food restaurant, not a restaurant trying to pass for fine dining. Then, there was the duck. How do you mess up duck at a French restaurant? It was so tough and chewy that nobody at the table could get through more than a few bites. The salmon dish was ok, but, nothing special. And the “truffle gnocchi pasta and lobster tagliatelle was a disaster. The kids took two bites and refused to finish their dishes; and our kids are used to fine dining. I will say the beef tartare was the best dish of the night. Even the dessert was a disaster. You'd think at the very least, a French restaurant could deliver something sweet and satisfying to end the meal, however, just another disappointment. I’m honestly baffled by the great reviews. A hard pass for us.

   Food was great! Burrata salad, lobster tagliatelle, and the mussels were our top fav. Staff were kind and friendly would love to return ❤️

   This is a french restaurant with half the menu Italian. One thing French are known for is their steaks. The steak supposed to come with crushed potatoes and frissee salad but it was mashed potatoes and green salad. The setver said we were out of ingredients. There is a Ralphs a block away that they could have bought the ingredients for the night. We gpt horrible headaches from their cocktails because for sure they used a cheap alcohol instead of the expensive names they have on their menu.

   It is my opinion that the food was not good. Although our waitress was wonderful; none of our meals was not at all the greatest. We did also witnessed another customer accidentally knocking a container full of water (which should had not been there on the 1st place) staff then proceeded to clean the wet floors with the actual napkins that are used for CLIENTS at tables. I believe a mop or cleaning towels should had been used. When I went to the restroom, there also was a table napkins on the floor underneath the sink. It grossed me out to think these cloth napkins are used for us customers as well as for dirty floor cleaning. We do not mind paying for delicious meals that come along with beautiful experiences. I must say our party of Six (6) will not be returning to this restaurant. The disappointment we experienced was too much to even dare give Amour a 2nd chance.

    An incredible experience. The food was amazing. Best I’ve had since living in France. The chef, Alexandre, came out to introduce himself. The ambience was warm and very chic and eclectic. Sandra, the manager, was continually checking on us. Our server, Quentin, was incredibly attentive and his food and wine suggestions were spot on. Will DEFINITELY return. Wonderful experience!
