We had an awesome date night at Amour WeHo. We started with caviar, escargot, and frog legs. We followed that with the burger and a Caesar salad with lobster. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with our dinner. The service was outstanding. All of the staff was great. This was our first visit and we are so happy that we found this place. We will be back soon.

This was my second time dining at Amour. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is quite good—but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter seemed to be busy with other tables most of the time and didn’t check in with us regularly. We often had to wait a long time just to get his attention, and at one point, we had to ask another server to help with our questions. It felt a bit disappointing, especially given the overall setting. Also, this time the bread was an extra charge (around $10), which wasn’t mentioned when they asked if we wanted some at the beginning. I remember it being complimentary during my previous visit, so that caught me off guard.

Ordered a well done steak, that will be better after I get home and actually cook it. Service is extremely slow. Nice people, just slow. Asked for my food to be packed up to go, they forgot my mash potatoes. If I didn’t check, I would have left without them.

Dear Amour Team, Thank you for your response to my review. I appreciate the acknowledgment and your willingness to address the issues I raised. I brought my friend to Amour to celebrate her birthday, and unfortunately, the evening turned out to be extremely disappointing. While the ambiance was beautiful, the service we received was unacceptable—particularly from our server, Quentin, who was unprofessional, inattentive, and dismissive throughout the night. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, which arrived cold and lacked flavor. To make matters worse, the promised birthday dessert was never brought out, and when I inquired about speaking to a manager, I was told none were present—which felt dismissive and dishonest. I was genuinely excited to try Amour and create a memorable experience for my friend, but instead, we left feeling frustrated and overlooked. I’m sharing this because I believe in accountability and the importance of consistency in hospitality—especially at a place that presents itself as a high-end dining destination. I would appreciate knowing how you intend to address this situation and whether there’s anything that can be done to make this right.

A Total Letdown – French in Name Only It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but when food is this disappointing, how can one stay silent? This place calls itself a French restaurant, but there’s absolutely no French influence to be found—just overpriced HYPE served with a side of pretension. Let’s start with the frog legs:; zero taste, no seasoning, just a swampy aftertaste that made me question my choices. The Caesar salad? A sad, dry pile of greens with barely any dressing—something you would expect at a fast food restaurant, not a restaurant trying to pass for fine dining. Then, there was the duck. How do you mess up duck at a French restaurant? It was so tough and chewy that nobody at the table could get through more than a few bites. The salmon dish was ok, but, nothing special. And the “truffle gnocchi pasta and lobster tagliatelle was a disaster. The kids took two bites and refused to finish their dishes; and our kids are used to fine dining. I will say the beef tartare was the best dish of the night. Even the dessert was a disaster. You'd think at the very least, a French restaurant could deliver something sweet and satisfying to end the meal, however, just another disappointment. I’m honestly baffled by the great reviews. A hard pass for us.
