A staple of the Park Cities Community, Amore' began with humble beginnings in 1983 with a vision to serve the community with the freshest quality ingredients, satisfying ambience, and the impeccable customer service expected by the thriving community. Owned and operated by local small business owners for the last 40 years, we are so proud of the traditions and welcoming staff.
We welcome you to visit our traditional Italian restaurant located at the north end of historic Snider Plaza - otherwise known as Downtown University Park - at the corner of Westminster and Snider Plaza. What sort of steak was I going to get for $30? Flank steak, expertly grilled and topped with a compound butter that included bacon and shallots. Delicious, even if the actual meat of the flank steak itself was only OK- after all it's only $30. It was accompanied by grilled asparagus (good!) and angel hair pasta tossed with the pan juices of the steak (overcooked pasta and not the best sauce). Wife had spaghetti carbonara (with cream)- not exactly Roman. It was like a cross between carbonara and alfredo. Not bad. Prices were cheap. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Kind people here.

Very attentive server. Food was very good, but chicken Marsala is more sweet (think maple syrup) than savory. I liked it, but my girlfriend not so much. Id like to see one more decent mid-priced cab on the wine-by-the-glass list. The lower priced one they have isn’t very good and the other is, but it is $19 per glass on the menu (charged $16).

We enjoyed our first visit other than a LOUD toddler whose parents clearly did not care about disturbing the rest of the patrons. We were there early in the evening, so I expected children.

Beatriz took excellent care of us. We dine here fairly often and always appreciate her friendly demeanor and smile. She is part of what makes Amore one of our favorite restaurants. Amore consistently has excellent food and is a hidden gem. It harkens back to the good old days of small, family owned restaurants, which are sadly, a dying breed in Dallas.

The food was good, but I ordered lobster ravioli and it was not as pictured or described. It was supposed to be in a tomato basil soup with alfredo sauce also, but it came with 90% alfredo sauce and 10% marinara. The food temp was also not as hot as it should have been. I would definitely go back - it was busy with local diners and you could tell a favorite. I would give another menu item a try.

Food is good but not wonderful and menu is somewhat limited. Waiter was inattentive to my husband when taking drink orders. No tablecloths, flowers or candles on tables. Ceiling tile with unsightly brown water stain needs to be replaced. The Local app which they use is difficult to navigate and a coupon I was emailed from there had to be taken off by hand.
