Americana Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
First time trying the Sunday brunch. It was fantastic. Served tapas style there is a huge assortment of dishes (19)and you can try everyone of them. All were delicious, but the chicken and waffles, short rib Benedict and chorizo egg tostada were outstanding. The butternut squash hash is a must try not just for the flavors, but the presentation is very unique. If you love great food, this is a little slice of heaven on a Sunday afternoon. The lake views, and unlimited mimosas were just the icing on the pumpkin cheesecake crepes.
When we made the reservation we indicated it was our anniversary. As we were being seated our server presented us with a handwritten letter congratulating us, and at the end of the meal we were given a two-serving complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written on the serving plate in chocolate. (In-between being seated and being served dessert was a delicious meal: both of our appetizers, both of our entrees, and my dirty martini, were spot-on. The bread basket was delicious as was the specialty butter, and the service was prompt and gracious without being overbearing. Plus, the ambiance of this wood-paneled, white-tablecloth'd, crystal chandelier'd place on the waterfront feels more like a private club than a restaurant -- it's simply terrific.)
This is a great restaurant with a great view and the food is awesome. We tried the appetizer Pear Tartar to start, my friend had the butternut squash soup, served with phenomenal bread and a truffle butter. She had the salmon, and I selected the sea bass both great selections. They were doing a tableside offering of steak we didn't choose but looked and smelled wonderful. The dessert Crème Brule, and orange scented cheesecake very good. They have interesting cocktails tried the white Jackie O cosmo. As we left noticed the bar had a great happy our special on Tues. located by the lake with window seating. This will definitely become a must dine restaurant.
Great view, food and service. Took my family to celebrate my dads birthday. The place did not disappoint. The food was great and the service that we received was fantastic. Would definitely go back. It was also extra special that the staff made a Birthday card for my dad.
We sent for the Thanksgiving dinner and were please overall. There were a few minor server errors but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They did their best to make the experience most pleasant. I would definitely give it another try one of these days.
A wonderful addition to Las Vegas dining! Gorgeous view of Lake Christine in the heart of the desert, superb service by the wait-staff, reasonable prices and wonderful food and presentation. Nothing at all to complain about and only superlative words to describe.
Not as good as in the past. Squash soup and sea bass were average. Steak was overdone and so burnt and dry when we requested med rare. It was replaced with beef medallions that were raw. Unacceptable. We said just forget it. Happy hour oysters were very good. Short ribs, chocolate peanut butter torte and Meyer lemon meringue tart were very good. It took almost 45 minutes before the waiter took our orders. Sooo slow. Not a good night when they were mostly empty. Then we were given a bag with another guests leftovers. Yikes. We returned it to them. We need to ask several times for our take out desserts. Sad
I took my mother to Americana for lunch and we had a beautiful window table with a view of the lake. The restaurant has a very classy yet approachable vibe and feels very welcoming. We were greeted by a friendly face and were offered a selection of available tables. Our waiter Rick was great and made everything on the menu sound delicious. My mother had the salmon and loved it, I had the tomato soup with gourmet grilled cheese sandwich on the side also very good. The best part of the lunch was the glorious tunes coming from the baby grand piano and surprise the pianist was our waiter Rick. He is fantastic and we will be going back and recommending this spot to our friends.
Lovely restaurant. Great food for waaaaay off the strip. We were from out of town and wanted to dine off the strip, so for us this was perfect. The one thing the restaurant needs to improve on (if it is to succeed) is communication between staff. Prime example - our waiter was spruiking the Spanish wine special the restaurant had. We went to order it. Sommelier said it was sold out. No problem - we had a lovely French Pinot, but about two hours later same waiter is spruiking the same bottle of Spanish wine to another table, even though it was sold out. Very amateur practice. Apart from this small error, a lovely location and the food is excellent.
Excellent dinner. Our second time visiting this restaurant. Highly recommend. They serve an excellent grilled octopus. Also, they had two wine pairing menus. Very generous with the pours. Service was exceptional. Beautiful location on a lake. Sitting outside can be a nice option as well. The veal chops were PERFECT. Definitely, will be back.
We had brunch at Americana on Sunday. I had requested outdoor seating but none was available until the chef had a table set up for us on the patio. We so appreciated that he cared enough to do that for us. Our waiter and assistant waiter were great. The brunch is $42 pp and is unlimited. There are probably 15 to 20 dishes on the menu that are served family style. Our waiter said that he would take care of us and just started bringing dishes out. We started with Caesar salad and a wedge salad (each dish was enough for our party of four). Then we were brought mussels and poke and meatball crostini and on and on. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We ended with crepes and pancakes and parfaits. Honestly, a perfect meal with perfect service and a beautiful table outside with a lovely view of the water. Thank you, Americana. We have a new spot to take our out of town guests.
Overall, the brunch experience was very good. It did not have a great start, though, as our table was given to another party even though I had called and spoken to someone specifically about this. The Chef was great, sincerely apologized, and set up another equally nice table. We left the food selection to our waiter and everything was very good. We had perhaps 2/3 of the brunch menu items and were absolutely stuffed. For a party of six this was probably the best way to proceed. In the future, with fewer people, I would make our own selections. There were some items that I would have enjoyed. Outstanding items were the shrimp with grits, mussels, egg Benedict with pork belly, the French toast, blueberry pancakes, berry parfait, and the meatballs
Service was unsteady and slow. The Bottomless Mimosas should have been brought out while we were looking at the menu. Instead, I had to ask twice and prompt refills until someone took notice and took the initiative. The courses were brought out at a good pace, but clean plates and silverware were slow in being provided. Lastly, even though I had mentioned in my reservation, in my follow up phone call and in person that we were celebrating a special birthday, nothing was done to mark the occasion. They say that the devil is in the details. Attention to details would have given this brunch experience a full five stars.
