I have been to all the other facilities within The Savoy on previous occasions except for the American Bar. So it was time to try it out as I had a friend visiting from the US. We were excited for our visit , but to be honest we were a little underwhelmed with the overall experience. The ambience was lovely, the piano however was too loud and we were seated directly in front of the piano so it was not easy for us to have a conversation which we wanted to have after not seeing each other for 2 years. We ordered off menu - 2 Hugo spritz - I had nicer ones in Slovenia last week for €6! The total bill at The Savoy was £62. I understand that part of the cost is for the history and the experience. We left after our cocktails to move somewhere else where we could have a conversation and an enjoyable evening. It was worth trying once but I doubt I would return.

Just very disappointed; it is expensive and last time, 2 years ago, I felt the service genuine and the staff actually interested in answers to the questions they put , not this time. On the face of it, my. waiter asked questions but was disinterested in my answer, advised me to buy a more expensive drink then I was going to buy and then kept coming back to ask if I wanted to buy something else. I will not be back. Felt I as being pushed

A wonderful experience for my friends birthday - Rachael looked after us with some recommendation of cocktails. The Savoy very much feels like coming home after working there for a number of years. Thank you.

We were running late as there was a protest, and all roads were closed off. We tried to call, and no one answered. We had to call dinner reservations to talk to someone. For a professional, luxury experience it was very disappointing

I had a brilliant experience at the American Bar. I visited for my birthday and we were served by Tom who was kind, welcoming and very knowledgeable. We are looking forward to returning soon.

We just had drinks, but I had to give a rating for food. Just went for drinks and it was fantastic. The staff were so nice. We would definitely return.
