In the Pizzi family kitchen in Liguria, Italy, the dinner table was a treasured space for family and friends. Since 1979, the Pizzi family, which now includes Gino's daughters Manuela, Anna, and Francesca, has been bringing that same love and commitment to the Ambrosia kitchen. It was great except for the loud lady that thought everyone wanted to hear about her dog’s bodily functions and every other item in her life.

This was our second time having dinner at Ambrosia. This experience was the complete opposite of the first time, unfortunately. Our family went for my birthday. We were sat in a room in the back. Our waiter was split working both inside and out. He took our drink and appetizer orders shortly after we were sat. We didn’t see him again for at least half an hour. That trend continued the entire night and put a damper on the experience. Food was ok, nothing special. Same with drinks. Management needs to put more thought into the waiter assignments. Doubt we will return as this experience was completely disappointing.

Our anniversary dinner was excellent. James was great. Our entrees, appetizers and desert were excellent. The house Chianti was excellent as well. Very highly recommended.

The food was good but the service was so so so slow. We were seated at our table for about 15 min before a server showed up. We put in drinks and apps right away (we had kids with us). And had to ask for the service to order entrees and then again for the bill (had to ask someone to find her - totally MiA). She didn’t check on us during the meal either. The service frustration ruined the overall meal for me. We were treating for a bday dinner too.
