Servers was inattentive. Food ok, but not special. Prices were a bit on the high side. On a more positive note, they have a nice, reasonably priced wine selection.
Went before a show at the Sony centre... had a little trouble finding it. Had no idea it was in Union station.
Very delicious food ... we had both the chef choice appetizers and the chefs choice entrees. Everything served family style! Portions were perfect and the quality was top notch. Love the open style kitchen and watched some other patrons receiving a pasta making experience .
Will definitely go back !
Perfect spot for our group to grab a bite before a concert nearby. Delicious pasta, friendly service, convenient location. A bit noisy in a cosy space, but didn't affect our experience at all. Would definitely recommend and go again.
I found the food pricey for its value - the pasta was bland with only a few pcs of shrimp.
Good food for winterlicious. The canoli was great!
Awesome homemade pasta and sauces. Great deserts as well.
We really enjoyed the convenience of the location since we came into TO by GO Train & were attending a Leafs game. Staff were very pleasant & polite (although wait staff was very busy).
The “let us surprise you” meal is fantastic. Second time I’ve visited the restaurant and both times were excellent!
It was our first time at Amano Pasta, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. Definitely our new favourite place!
Everything was nothing less than amazing. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back.
You would never think that a restaurant located inside a train station would be an ideal spot, but this was easily one of the best Italian places I’ve been to. It’s a nice little nook of a restaurant that has a decent selection of authentic Italian food. I had their Back in Black pasta, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was very delicious for a vegetarian dish. 10/10 would go again.
Great time with my wife for winterlicious before the leaf game. Quaint spot in union station with great service and food. Recommend it
What a great hidden gem! The pasta was fantastic as were the cocktails. Looking forward to heading back soon.
Food and presentation were great, service was friendly, prompt and helpful.
Crowded with happy noise. Good service. Food was good not spectacular. Altogether a good dinner
I've come here for both summerlicious and winterlicious. The restaurant opened in Union Station last year and their Summerlicious menu was alright. This time around, the menu and portions for Winterlicious was much better! We were seated in front of the kitchen, which is very cool! I ordered the Nonna's Salad and my friend got the marinated cheese with crostini. Both were really good! While were waiting, we saw the chefs making this stuff fig and we had to have it! It was worth it! A fresh fig stuffed with creamy cheese and topped with honey! For the main, I got the Bolognese pasta and my friend got the pesto and shrimp pasta. So tasty and the portions were a good size. For dessert, I ordered the affogatto and my friend ordered the bombelone. Both really good! If you're around Union Station, definitely give this a try.
Food was Excellent - Location was very busy reservation needed. And Service was not very good, our lunch took two hours.
I was a bit disappointed with the pasta for a pasta place. I found it dry and chewy and there was not enough sauce so we had to load it with Parmesan and hot sauce to give it flavour.
Really good pasta!
The hostess Mona was exceptional, warm, helpful and instantly created a welcoming atmosphere. Despite the open concept, the noise level was not abrasive and the tables not too close together, so my friend and I enjoy an animated conversation. The food was great and I especially enjoyed the fried smelt appetizer Thanks for an exceptional lunch! I’ll be back. Linda
Good service, however they ran out of the dish I really wanted. As a vegetarian my other option wasn’t that great and in the end I wasn’t too satisfied with my overall meal.
The winterlicious menu was amazing. 33$ per person can be considered expensive but for a date night it was great. We went for an early dinner before a show at 4:30 expecting to be an hour. The food came out very quick (we were one of 3 tables seated) so if you want to relax a little longer I would recommend just asking the server to take his time. Other than that the experience was great! We heard no noise from the train passengers in union station. We will be visiting again In the future for another special occasion. Ps- ask for their homemade hot sauce! Wow!
We had a group of six celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic! Very fresh and they can accommodate for vegans. Our server Josh was super nice and attentative. Would definitely recommend!
Great food and great service always makes for an excellent experience! We love it, which is why we keep going back.
I did business.
Amano is a little gem in Union Station. The food and service are both excellence. Finding it is a bit of a challenge (it’s on the front street side of union station opposite from Tim Hortons) it is a small restaurant and a bit noisy but well worth a visit. It’s a great spot for dinner before a game or show as it’s walking distance (inside) to Scotiabank Arena and a short walk to Rogers Centre etc. Not great for a big group but otherwise a great choice.
Great food. Friendly service. Open concept and shared seating makes for a lot of noise - but we had a fun time. Would go again.
Great service! Does not seem like you are in a subway station!
My friends and I tried the “We Cook For You” option from the menu and we were not disappointed with the chef’s choices. From the appetizers to the desert, our dinner was a delicious feast!
Great spot for great eats in Union Station .
Great experience. Great service and food. Restaurant was a little chilly...
Excellent food and service. We were there on a quiet night but the food was outstanding and the service was very timely and friendly.
Needs to have some better salad and panini options
Amazing pasta and fantastic service!
Perfect spot to meet before going to a show.
My husband and I had our New Year's Eve dinner at Amano's... rode the GO train into Toronto, enjoyed people watching in Union Station, had a beer and more people watching, then settled into Amano's Pasta for a dinner that was absolutely AWESOME!! Best pasta either of us have ever gotten at a restaurant. Service was exceptional, atmosphere was quite nice and the food was amazing!! To say Amano's is a jewel is an understatement!!
I was surprised by how good the food tasted and how great the service was!
Charge more for food and drinks than price on menu. Absolutely wrong. You’ll lose customers doing that.
Great meal and friendly service!
It was the first time my wife and I had been to Amano. I have eaten Italian in numerous traditional and contemporary restaurants in many cities and I had one of the best dining and culinary experiences at Amano. The food is creative and expertly prepared resulting in a unique dining experience. Compliments to the entire stall for a truly enjoyable and unique dining experience. I will be back many times.
Service was friendly, food was tasty but it was too small, too loud and we even got a snide phone call at 7:30 saying they were giving away our table - yet we were already seated just before 7!
Location is odd too.
