   From the moment you arrive you are transported to a world of amazing food, wonderful cocktails, fabulous ambiance and great service, I highly recommend.

   Our second visit to Amalfi Ettalong Beach. The food is amazing. Very fresh and lots of flavour. Love the puffy bread for a starter. Service is very good. Would definitely recommend.

   Excellent food and service , this was a 4th time dinning at there Ettalong restaurant. As well as there Pearl Beach site before the move . Highly recommend

   Highly recommend this restaurant it was so good! One of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been too. After a few holiday pent in Italy it is hard to find really good Italian food in Australia but this place is really up there! Highly recommend amazing food 👌

   This is a beautiful restaurant in a prime location in Ettalong opposite the beach. It replaces a much loved restaurant of the same name in Pearl Beach destroyed by fire a couple of years ago. The menu is classic Italian with a good wine list. Prices are in the usual range and not excessive. We dined on a Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner for a friend. The arrival was a bit off - a fairly indifferent young lass just said “your table’s over there” waving her hand in that direction. Service was prompt - entrees were good and two of the mains were fine but the third - veal cotoletto - was tough, overcooked and very unappetising- most went home in a doggy bag and then sadly, into the bin. Paying the bill was an interesting exercise- very high tech noting all items on screen plus a handy option of tipping - 10, 20 percent or no tip. The latter gives the diner some recourse when they spot the 1,9% card surcharge - select the “no tip” option that’s your tip, mate! It’s about time businesses realise the poor impression these irritable measly add-ons create and it’s not too hard or too expensive to absorb these charges as a cost of doing business. Major stores do it and it’s obviously factored into their prices. Paying a miserable extra $4 on a $200 bill is beyond the pale. Apart from that and the lack-lustre service and one poor meal it was ok.

   We dined here recently on a packed Saturday night. The food and service were excellent, and it was great to see the restaurant thriving again after the unfortunate fire. However, my only unfavourable comment is that the space was extremely noisy, making it difficult to hold a conversation unless the person was directly next to or across from you. We had dined at the previous restaurant, Osteria il Coccia, many times—even when fully booked—and never experienced this issue. It seems the current layout has more tables packed in, which may be contributing to the noise levels. I understand this is only a temporary location for Amalfi until they return to Pearl Beach, but I believe the overall experience would be much improved if they addressed the acoustics. Options like sound baffles or ceiling-hung plants could help significantly. Although we did enjoy our evening, we’d likely only return if it were a warm night and we could sit outside. ⸻ Would you like a shorter version for something like Google or TripAdvisor
