A throwback to the quintessential New York City dining experience of the 1930’s & 40’s, with a modern approach. Enjoy expertly curated wines, spirits and specialty cocktails.

Located in the heart of Westman Village in Mahogany, we are Calgary's favourite venue for live jazz, dancing, amazing food and drinks.

We are open Tuesday to Thursday at 5:00pm until late Friday to Sunday at 4:00pm to late with live entertainment every night. Come enjoy our Sunday Jazzy Brunch 10:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy our fabulous Happy Hour from Tuesday to Thursday 5:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday to Sunday 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

    Food is always great! Accommodating of gluten friendly. Was disappointed that the music wasn’t jazz so in the future will check who the band is before booking.

    Food and service were excellent like always. However, I would appreciate if the piano player could be a little softer (perhaps put the piano lid down).

    We were there to watch the singer, Kate Emerald, and it did not disappoint. The people seemed to enjoy her music and were up and dancing. I will definitely go back when she is singing. It was a full house but service was great, as always! Alvin’s, although on the pricier end, is a great food experience with good sized portions.

    Food - excellent. Service- very attentive. The house band Blues & Soul was excellent when they played. Lead singer bantered too much with audience and got a little chippy. Just play. Talk only to introduce the music. Don’t shame people into dancing and certainly don’t ask of the couples are lovers.

    This place is awesome!! It feels like you are in New York. A great vibe and classy atmosphere. The service was great. Our waitress went over and above for us. I highly recommend the prawn skewers. Incredible flavour and unique presentation. Every dish has a unique twist. Highly recommend.
