We stayed at The Peaks, this was a convenient option for a large party on a holiday weekend. Good for kids that had just come in from skiing, very good food and easy given the location. Service makes all the difference; we were there 2 nights and after the dire lack of service the first night I had written the restaurant off. Glad to report the 2nd night was much better.
Great place for our family dinner—beautiful view and wonderful food. The servers were top notch!!
3rd try. The kitchen just cannot get it together: cold meatballs, cold risotto, burnt (black) top on apple crisp dessert w/melted ice cream. The manager (Kat) goes above & beyond to be helpful and the waitstaff (this time, Anna) are very kind and attentive. The location is great, views awesome- even the guitarist - all great! The deliverables from the kitchen, however, the food- the consumable for which you visit a restaurant- VERY DISAPPOINTING.
The sunset views here are amazing so stop in for a cocktail & enjoy the ambiance. However, until the kitchen is improved, I can’t recommend an evening meal.
Food super fresh and tasty!! Such great flavors!! Music was super eclectic but overall a great experience!
Steak was over cooked. Asked for a second glass of wine. Never got it.
So pleasantly surprised!!! Staff was exceedingly accommodating and friendly! We had some diners with us that were tricky to accommodate because of their dietary restrictions but we sailed on through and everyone was happy !!
I have a pond which were incredible especially the sauce and all the salads were bright and fresh and full of flavor !!
We were impressed by our experience at Altezza. Great menu sourcing local ingredients, and the price point wasn't cheap, but not expensive either. A great ambiance with attention to detail and good service. We'd definitely dine here again. Our dishes for our party of four were delicious!
Fantastic staff and wine, but the food unfortunately just wasn’t that great. Cold bread, fishy salmon, etc. Not a bad place to stop in for a casual dinner, but there are much better places in Telluride
Food not worth the price
Bar staff is awesome, but waitstaff not so much. Unbeknownst to us, we missed breakfast by 15minutes, and they were unwilling to even fry an egg (and we were guests at hotel for the entire week). Never got refill on coffee. We heard from others that dinner is the same. I do give the bar staff 10 out of 5 stars. Attentive, courteous, and remember your name and drink. Definitely go there for the bar.
The Sunday brunch was over the top delicious! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!
My family and I made reservations for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, the wine was great. Most of all our waitress, Anya, was amazing! We will be sure to return.
Thanksgiving Dinner buffet. Food was amazing
Wonderful delicious Thanksgiving buffet! Our waitress was exceptional! We will definitely be back when we are in town again.
We had eaten here a couple of years ago and just loved it. The food was delicious and the property immaculate. I arranged a family dinner with my newly Engadget daughter and her fiancée. I was so embarrassed. The restaurant was shabby. The food was horrific! The next day we tried to order drinks on the patio and it was just a repeat of the night before. The hot chocolate was a mix and the worst Bloody Mary ever. Horrible experience all around. So disappointed and embarrassed. Never again!
Meatballs had a great flavor but were almost cold. The chicken breast tasted like it had been boiled first and then seared. My husband's flat bread was probably the best thing we ordered. Alteeza has a great view but the food was just ho hum.
Very tasty meal and convenient for attending Chamber Music performance at the Conference Center.
Beautiful view but mediocre food and poor wine selection.
Second time I've eaten at Altezza. Our food was very good! Needed a tiny bit more seasoning but I took care of that easily with a little salt and pepper. Sat outside and the view was unbeatable. Our waiter was very nice.
Alteeza has the best views in Telluride at sunset. Perfect for sunset cocktails, pictures and dinner. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. This is a gem waiting to be discovered and overrun by crowds.
AMAZING VIEW!! Absolutely breathtaking and the food was delicious. This will definitely be a place we return to when in Telluride again.
We had a great dinner with prompt/efficient service. We were treated like Royalty
Altezza is a resort hotel restaurant and the quality of the food and service reflect that. The servers are friendly if barely competent. The food was not horrible but also not particularly good.
As said in other reviews, the view is fantastic. Come for a drink and appetizer on the lovely patio then go elsewhere for your meal.
Food was just OK but the sunset was spectacular. The best in Telluride. Service is good. Don't waste it on the kids. Enjoy the quiet and gorgeous view.
It's pretty bad when 2 of eight entrees have to be sent back. My steak was ordered med rare and arrived well done. Waitress took it back and said 4 min for a replacement. Almost 10 min later my new steak returned still over done and lacking any flavor whatsoever. Another friends fish plate was returned because of strong fish odor. Appetizers we're good, and some of the other entrees were good. I think management could have been a little more interested in the problems.
But overall I think the experience was not great and it's clear to see why the restaurant only had 3 or 4 out of their many tables empty. This is our LAST TIME at ALTEZZA !! Charlie Palmer
This is no longer Contemporary American food! This is Italian and the menu is completely different than what is on the Open Table menu. Not a single item listed here is on the menu.
That being said, it was good food, service was good. Nice ambiance.
We are staying at The Peaks Resort and planned dinner here our first night for convenience. It was a great meal. We are very health conscious and have some food allergies. The server and the kitchen were very accommodating and the flavors were fresh and creative. Great options for kids and the brunch buffet is delicious and easy.
We did not feel like going out of the resort that night so we decided to try the resort restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! We had the small meat and cheese appetizer which is not small by any means. It had sizable portions of everything and included extras like fig jam, pickles and flavored crackers. We also had a steak salad and a salmon salad with kale and quinoa which were both excellent. We sat by the windows and enjoyed the sunset and were overlooking the airport strip. Highly recommend Altezza.
Overall a very negative experience. Service was slow despite the fact that We were the only table there at the time. Food was substandard and tasteless. Restaurant may be great for sunset and a glass of wine but I wouldn't have food there. Even the spiced nuts were heavy and sticky.
