Food excellent. Server was very organized. We had 11 people with separate checks. She was great. Very noisy though. They need better acoustics.
Will definitely go back.
Charming place with excellent food! Our schnitzel was delicious! Will go back soon!
Good food and service. Easy to find.
Excellent like always
We have eaten at Alps Village at least a half dozen times now. The food has always been great, whether Mama Milka's Goulash, Chicken Paprikash, Grilled Sausage Platter or Cabbage Rolls or the many other delicious offerings on the menu. Having lived in the Dolomite Alps in Northern Italy and travelled extensively in the region (Germany, Austria, Croatia, Italy), I can say that Alps Village certainly brings me back to the many small establishments I ate in there that take such pride in their food and hospitality. "Z" and all of the other servers make you feel like this is YOUR neighborhood and your restaurant. Try them, you won't be disappointed!
You will love everything about this place! The staff is as great as the food! I would eat here every night if I could ( :
We LOVE Alps Village!!! This place is the absolute best in The Valley for Eastern European and Bavarian food. I had the Jägerschnitzel Land my wife had the Goulasch - both tasted fresh and delicious!
Not what I expected at all. Online info led me to think it was a German restaurant. It was a restaurant with lots of different choices but with a hint of German. The decore, music, and feel was not even close to German. Still good though.
Exceptional tasting food along with top-notch, friendly service. I will also add: very generous portion! If we lived closer this would become a #1 go-to.
Alps is one of the best places in the desert. Food is great and everyone is fun and friendly. Family owned and you can see the pride.
We were visiting the area and Alps Village was a suggestion from a friend. Since we couldn’t decide on one dish, we ordered the sampler platter. Everything was absolutely delicious. The bartender knows how to make a drink too!!!
Very good, my favorite restaurant in Coachella Valley. The food is always spot on, and the German dark beer they have on tap is outstanding.
Once they got super busy service fell off a little bit. Very loud. We still had a great time!
Delicious homemade Eastern European/ Croatian food.
Best in the Coachella Valley! Best service, food, atmosphere and cocktails! You will feel like family :)
Hands down the most friendly and fun servers I have ever had. The food is excellent as well! Would absolutely come by again with friends and family!
We started with a salad and the chicken & cabbage soup, which was outstanding. We then had the Alfredo with chicken and the chicken yagerscnitzel (sp?) which were both very good. The down side was the very loud music that people were shouting to be heard over. That aside, we enjoyed it and left satisfied.
The spaetzle was a disappointment. We’re used to spaetzle that has a light sauce. This was dry as a bone and too chewy. The cucumber salad had a terrific yogurt and dill dressing, but there was too much lettuce and not enough cucumber. The schnitzel was very good. The beef cordon blue was a bit disappointing—like deli slices of roast beef wrapped around cheese filling.
Love to eat here always good food
Always fun to dine here. Food is very hood and homey. The service is friendly but a little slow.
Somehow, I did not get Open table dining point this time, it said not eligible. I want to get know why...
The food was great, staff and owner was great. Don't know why it took so long to go. If you have not tried the place you are missing out!!!
Great food and service IN PERSON NOW, as always! Z seemed very happy to welcome back some of her long-standing customers. Had the Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle and it was AWESOME! Mama is still doing a lot of the cooking. Highly recommended!
The restaurant was busy and they were under staffed due to an ill staff member, would have appreciated a bit more attention but under circumstances I understand and will definitely go eat again, best JaegerSchnitzel in the area!!
Very disappointed as I didn’t think the food was very authentic as it could be. The quality of food didn’t fit the price.
Excellent food, great German beer, and terrific service. Very enjoyable dinner.
Server was excellent
And small portions
Mashed potatoes tasted like boxed instant potatoes
The schnitzel, beer and pretzel were amazing! Would recommend!
Wonderful surprises on the menu and terrific table staff!!!
Good place for schnitzel. Recommend either pork or veal over chicken. Great service and good selection of German brews.
Alps Village is our go to spot in Palm Desert. Always excellent. Never disappoints.
Alps Village is my favorite restaurant! I planned my whole trip to California around coming here for my birthday dinner and they did not disappoint!
Great food and friendly service. Nice evening!
My mom is from Germany so she’s extra critical but she approved and we liked the menu selections. Very fun and lively place.
Always good food. Always good service.
We have come LOVE this restaurant for our date nights!
Four times in two weeks and we have tried quite a few of the dishes.
The beet salad, calamari and pretzels are phenomenal appetizers.
We’ve had the chicken schnitzel- breaded and unbreaded- as well as the sausage platter, stuffed cabbage, chicken soup, cucumber salad and our favorite dessert: the gluten free white cake.
This is now our go to spot for dinner out!!
Authentic and delicious they really know how to make a fun meal and experience. I really recommend it it’s hard to find this kind of deliciousness in the valley
Good German food in a lively upbeat setting. Had a very nice dinner with family. Will return for sure.
This is not authentic German cuisine- at least the weinerschnitzel wasn’t. It was more like a deep fried veal cutlet than the schnitzels we enjoyed in Austria and Germany. The red cabbage was totally missing on one plate and was minimal on the other. The cabbage was cold, not heated.
The background noise was uncomfortably loud. This is more of a neighborhood restaurant for the locals.
Our waitress was wonderful. Very efficient and pleasant.
