Our menu offers a variety of specialties from Germany and Ex Yugoslavia to include dishes from Serbia,Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some of our authentic foods are Scnitzels, Cevapcici, homemade sauerkraut, Cabbage Rolls, Goulash, salads, desserts and many more wonderful flavors. My mother Chef is at the restaurant daily preparing fresh dishes. During the Yugoslavian war in the 1990's she moved to Germany. There she worked in a number of restaurants learning all about the German flavors. She uses those cooking experiences from her own country and Germany to create a blend of European dishes.
Come by relax and enjoy some good home cooked food!
Alps Sausage Platter
two sausages Nurnberg and Smoked Bratwurst, on the side homemade curry ketchup
fresh potatoes baked, hand ripped and fried to perfection
jumbo shrimp sauted in olive oil with wine, chopped tomatoes, garlic and herbs
Always tasty and usually busy, we enjoy going there
Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. Service was a little on the slower side but overall it was great. We asked if they do anything for birthdays and were told yes but then no one ever came back with a birthday treat or song etc...
We took our grandson and his friend to dinner, they had been before and were excited to order the big pretzels. Our server (I will ask her name next time) was so great with the kids! She had waited on us before and she is the perfect combination of efficient, friendly and fun.
We were vacationing in Palm Desert and found this restaurant on Yelp! I hadn’t had German food in awhile and it’s Oktoberfest time! Alps had great reviews so we gave it a try. We ordered German beer of course! For dinner we ordered the sausage appetizer, the chopped specialty salad, and Mama Milka’s Goulash specialty over spaetzle. We loved all of it! Everything was cooked perfectly and the salad was light and fresh! I wish we had such a great place at home!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. Great food.
Delicious food and generous portions which are unmistakably homemade... in Palm Desert! Who knew?! Tell Zee that Mike says the two hour drive from Mission Viejo is worth it!
We love this place food and staff!!!!
Everything here is pretty good. The owner and staff are friendly and will guide you through the menu.
Alps Village is one of our favorite spots in Palm Desert. Food and service always excellent.
Misters have made the outdoor patio comfortable on a hot Desert night but...it’s the food that will bring you back! Everything is fresh; homemade; and delicious! The staff is friendly and always happy to help.
Waitress had friends at the table near us and spent much more time socializing then taking care of us. Not normally something I complain about but the time it took to get dinner was ridiculous.
Food is always delicious and the staff is amazing.
I know opinions are all over the place on masks, but we were distraught by the loose approach to wearing masks here. Staff did wear them but they didn’t try to make clients walking in and around use them. And a server - with mask - talked to maskless clients at the not quite 6 feet away table next to us who were whining about masks saying he too didn’t like it but had to. Good food, but won’t return for the foreseeable future as it just didn’t feel very safe. Just sharing my opinion as requested.
We sat outside. There was supposed to be social distancing of six feet. The party behind is was right against us. You should have used every other table.
Amazing food and amazing service.
Don't miss this restaurant!
Delicious food. Loved the stuffed cabbage and Sauerkraut. Ripped potatoes are yummy!
The staff are very personable and the food is excellent !! My faves are the cucumber salad, pretzels and the goulash !!!
Our favorite restaurant in the Desert. Great service and exceptional food!
What a rare find! We drove by this place for two years before stopping in for a very nice meal. It's like a little piece of Austria in South Palm Springs. Delicious food, attentive service and good social distancing practices in place. We dined a fresco in their large patio area.
We are always pleased with food and service at Alps Village, great crew delicious food!!
This is the Third time I am writing this so this time I will shorten it. The food is worth having and the on tap German beer is great. You cant go wrong with the authentic food. The staff and Ownership are all very nice. They are worthy of your support.
Hands down our favorite place to go
What a fun little place! I honestly loved everything about it, the ambience, the food, and the lovely service! Zee was such an amazing and fun server! I cannot wait to go back again :)
Great meal! Great food and
One of our favourite restaurants in Palm Desert. The schnitzel is the best we have had. Prices decent so good value. Staff all very good and attentive especially with virus concerns at present.
Just the best! Great food...great service...love the atmosphere...couldn't have been better
except for the noise level everything 100% excellent very good menu options
Great stop for Goulash, Schnitzel, and other menu items. Good draft beer and wine option with full bar. Very friendly and accommodating staff! Patio seating great too!
From appetizers to dessert Alp’s Village is the best food in the Valley. Cooking up incredible Eastern European Faire from stuffed cabbage to most flavorful Schnitzel, don’t miss the Amazing freshly made mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. You will not be disappointed. Will be back.
Pretty much my go-to place for dinner with friends from out of town. Good service, very good food, can be crowded sometimes so reservations are a good idea. the chicken paprikesh is da bomb!
Great service and food. Menu is HUGE. Something for everyone. We sat outside so the noise level wasn’t bad, but inside it was like a beer parlour and elementary school cafeteria combined. Very very noisy.
It was packed and I was so glad I made a reservation on Open Table. They saved a little table for two in the back, the only open table. We sat near two women whom we asked what they recommended. We had a great chat and it happened Alps Village was one of their favorite restaurants. We saw they had a HUGE pretzel, too. We ordered two types of chicken schniztel, weiner style and jüger style, and also a krausalat which came with a smaller pretzel. Everything was authentic (I lived in Vienna in my 20's) I highly recommend the krautsalat. It is a slaw with a light dressing of vinegar, a little sweetness and toasted caraway seeds, which knocked it out of the park and took me back to Austia. We also split an apple struddel. It was fabulous, and the excellent vanilla ice cream, hit the spot. Everything being spot on and so authentic, all the way down to the durndel and lederhosen on the wall and the staff able to speak German with me!
It was a second date night and we were there nearly two hours, no rush! We did not drink anything but water and we spent about $70, including tip. HIGHLY recommended.
Might be the best German food I’ve had. Schnitzel Jaeger is amazing. Pork was a tender as could be. Plus the prices are right on par. Definitely recommend.
Perfect casual neighborhood dining place. We meet us with friends and always enjoy the food (good gluten free options) and FABULOUS service!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was excellent ... efficient yet friendly .. loved the buzz in the restaurant ... upbeat but not too noisy
The staff is awesome, the owner is also a server, very personable. If you’re into German food, this is the place to go in Palm Desert. Try the Sausage platter you won’t be disappointed.
Always enjoyable! Very tasty German food! We love the pretzels and beer...
Primarily German food but other items on the menu. Food was good. Restaurant was almost full and the noise level is a bit high Tables are rather close together
