Our Inspiration is rooted in an Alpine tradition, where cattle adorned with oversized cow bells and flower crowns are led down the mountains by local farmers in early fall.

As they make their descent, townspeople greet them for a celebration of regional food, wine and spirits.

From the OpenTable editors: As its name suggests, Alpino celebrates the regional cuisine of the Alps—and the dining room even has a chalet-like feel, albeit one that’s been given a cool, mid century-leaning spin. Start with mountain cheeses before moving on to tagliatelle with Piedmontese ragu and wienerschnitzel served with morel rahmsauce. The Corktown restaurant’s highly specific menu hasn’t gone unnoticed: In 2024, the Detroit Free Press named it its restaurant of the year.

A magnificent meal. We shared several dishes, including the branzino. Flavors and presentations were incredibly delicious and beautiful. Our server was extremely personable and helpful when helping with decisions. The food is beyond the descriptions! All the staff was great. Loved eating outside too.

Alpino is a gem! I had a fantastic date night here with friends, all the food was incredible, the staff attentive, with great suggestions, and couldn't ask for a better spot to catch up. The wine suggested by the somm was perfect to accompany the meal and was delish. The vibes inside the restaurant transport you to Europe and perfectly pair with the menu. We will be back!

Excellent mixologist. Great wine selection. David is a great GM and host. Nice menu. Something for everyone. Servers are great ( Jeremy was two thumbs up) Highly recommended .

The patio is lovely. Brunch menu just okay. Service was not as great as we’re used to at dinner time. Hopefully this was a “one off”. Will def go back for dinner as that menu is phenomenal.
