Alpina Restaurant at Villa Eyrie Resort
Truly one of a kind experience, the food was amazing and the atmosphere and staff in the restaurant were so positive. Our waiter was exceptional and filled us in on the scenic aspects as well as all the dishes, he also offered to take pictures of us with the view in the background. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and I hope to come back soon.
Delicious and creative food. Very attentive staff and quiet ambiance. The view is spectacular!
Great food, service, ambience, and views . A world class gem 30 minutes from Victoria.
Creative preparation that tasted even better than it looked.
The tasting menu was a delight for a celebratory lunch.
A totally enjoyable experience.
Perfect in every way! We'll be back again soon. Food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful.
Outstanding views and meal. Will be going again. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous restaurant offering gorgeous views to go with your beautiful and delicious prepared meal. Just go!
We were there overnight and attended a Wine Dinner. Food incredible and excellent service. The view is stunningly beautiful.
The food was perfect, and our server, Wayne, took excellent care of us from the moment we sat down. Impeccable.
Our server (Wayne, I believe??) was magnificent - made us feel welcome, comfortable, and shared good conversation. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, as were the cocktails. We’ll be back!
World class location amd ambience.Good selection on buffet table..dessert table really good. Servers were pleasant however perhaps some additional training required..eg..bill was presented half way through our meal..server should wait until we ask for bill..
Professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff; excellent service. Delicious white wine from Oliver, BC. Meal was beautifully presented and divine. Beautiful views on summer solstice!
Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and service top notch. The real show stopper though is the incredible view. From the beautiful landscape of the Eyrie, the Saanich Inlet to the Olympic Mountains, it doesn’t get much better! An amazing little paradise hidden away at the top of the Malahat! You will be blown away!
A perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary - incredible view, wonderful food and the service was fantastic.
Fantastic meal for lunch of a Pasta Vongole dish and a Cobb Salad (the best chicken I have ever tasted!), on the balcony overlooking the unbelievable view - for the same price as a meal in Victoria, but with the amazing view included!
As always great food, view and atmosphere! It’s one of our go to breakfast places!
I brought 3 other couples there in January (during the World Jr. Hockey in Victoria) and it was so awesome from every aspect (food, ambiance, service) that I had to bring another couple who are friends that I wanted to have a similar experience. The January visit was over the top, mainly thanks to Wayne who looked after the 8 of us. It was everything Jewel looked after us on this visit and she did a nice job. It was also great to catch up with Wayne who was looking after a large group of graduates that night, but he remembered us and made us most welcome. The food, view, service are world class. If you haven't been here recently, you must try it, especially if you want a special night out and want to feel you are in a European country with a view to die for.
We took friends to Alpina at Villa Eyrie to thank them for some special services. We had the lunch special with 3 courses and wine pairings and we found each course delicious and beautifully presented. Our friends who are from Calgary were absolutely blown away by the food, ambience and service. We lingered and took many pictures! Perfect day!
The food, view, and service were all equally incredible. Thanks for making our anniversary so memorable!
Had a wonderful, slow meal at the Alpina Restaurant. Breathtaking views. Friendly service. Great food. Recommending this place to all our friends and family!
We had a lovely time. I always thought the food was good but in year since we last were there it is even better. Presentation and eye to ingredients and technique was excellent all washed down with the featured BC Rose.
The only thing, and this is a mere quibble, is that we were given a beautiful and enticing bread basket as we were beginning our entree. We were famished when we arrived and it would have been great to have brought to us with our wine at the beginning.
Very good atmosphere, food and the view is breathtaking. Was a little expensive but for a once and awhile experience it's worth it.
A spectacular view. An interesting and tasty menu. All around.....good evening with friends.
Just...wow! The entire experience, meal, service, ambiance, view; what more could you ask for?! Just an amazing place. Certainly will be back again when in the area; this is not to be missed!
We love heading to Alpina for brunch! Try their lattes they are so yummy!
Such a good experience. The food is amazing, the service is world class, the price is so decent. We will be returning soon.
The food was amazing! I had the $99 food and wine pairings menu and I couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be back and highly recommend . The view is outstanding and they made sure to give us a window seat.
Perfect place for anniversary dinner. Just a bit pricey.
The view is what you pay for hands down. Therefore it’s important to specify a window table. Service is spotty - being a Mother’s Day brunch it was reasonable but it’s hard to screw up refilling water glasses and clearing plates. Previous experience has shown that the staff are pretty “green” and the service levels can vary greatly. Food quality was good but the replenishment of the buffet was sporadic. Some premium dishes appeared after we were basically done with no idea we’d missed out on them (crab legs and prawns etc). For the price point ($165 for two adults and a small child) I’d have preferred more consistency. I give them the benefit of the doubt as a newer restaurant with a challenging geographic location. After all it was basically the geography that spelled the demise of the original Aerie resort.
The view was beautiful. Loved watching the swallows swooping in front of our window. The Cob Salad I had was very good. The chicken in it was cooked excellent! My husband really enjoyed his fish and chips too. It was a lovely experience.
Incredible view, outstanding service, and delectable food.
Summit Restaurant went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience for our birthday celebration. Food was delicious, service was polite and prompt, and the view was gorgeous. Pricy but a great value considering the thoughtful details and extras that are included.
Beautiful food with exquisite presentation
My husband and I had Sunday brunch at the Summit Restaurant. The food was great, really tasty and fairly large portions, the servers were all friendly and attentive, and the views from the restaurant were beautiful! We would definitely go again.
I love the summit restaurant! I brought friends visiting from out of town there. One of them complains about everything but no complaints at the Summit restaurant. The view and the food are spectacular. Everyone who works there is so nice. The chef even came out to see how we enjoyed our meals which is a very nice touch. Thank you Summit restaurant.
Great views food and service will definitely go back.
Food, ambience and view was exceptional. Highly recommended.
Villa Eyrie is in a beautiful location with an unbeatable view.
Sunday brunch was quite good. There is an emphasis in quality over quantity. There were some small things missing such as jam or butter for the fresh baked goods. Also, some stations did not have proper serving utensils, making it very difficult to take certain foods.
The service was very poor. There were 2 main servers in the dining area. One was doing a good job, but she was overworked because the second server did not seem to be doing anything. We asked for coffee and she seemed shocked that we'd ask. She asked if we wanted cream, but then she arrived with cream and no sugar. She refused to make eye contact with us again. We ended up pouring maple syrup into our coffee because it was near the pancake station.
Several times the host and server walked by our table that had dirty dishes stacked on it (from the buffet brunc
h). Seeing as this restaurant is being marketed as higher end, that was unacceptable.
When we were ready to leave/pay, we waited 15 min to receive the bill (well to get anyone's attention) and then another 20 minutes just to pay.
We might return here because of the good and view but the service was surprisingly bad for a restaurant of this calibre.
Excellent seafood chowder and the polenta fries were very tasty. Service was attentive but not invasive. Very pleasant experience.
