   Visited as a group of 4 on a Friday night at 7:30. It looked like the first night of their outdoor beer garden but only a few of us tables inside with reservations. There’s a coat rack next to the host stand so I asked if my coat could be hung up and I was handed a hanger instead of offering to hang it up for me. Once we were seated, it took a little longer than usual for us to order drinks but our server seemed flustered so we were understanding. We ordered 4 appetizers and 4 mains. Appetizers were great but things started to fall apart after that. We waited over 45 minutes after apps for our mains. At no point did our server check in with us or communicate when we might expect our dishes. During that wait, there were maybe 3 or 4 left and not much movement happening in the kitchen. We didn’t get served until 9:45. Once our bill arrived, our server notified us that there’s an automatic 20% gratuity fee plus 3% wellness fee, and we wanted to add any extra tip that it would be appreciated. $427 total. The quality was definitely not worth 23% and I would have appreciated more communication and effort if that amount of tip is expected of their guests.

   Wonderful experience. Yummy food and the staff was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I loved the decor and the new outdoor area looked super neat with lots of space.

   We celebrated Mother's Day at [Restaurant Name] with their special "Tour de Alpes" menu, and it was absolutely magnificent! Every dish in this Alpine-inspired culinary journey was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly elevated our experience was our server, who went above and beyond to ensure we understood each dish being presented. They provided detailed explanations of the ingredients and preparation methods, adding fascinating context about Alpine cuisine that enhanced our appreciation of the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for our special Mother's Day celebration. From the first course to the last, the attention to detail was evident in both presentation and taste. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience that combines outstanding food with knowledgeable, friendly service, I can't recommend the "Tour de Alpes" enough. This restaurant has definitely earned a place on our list of favorites for special occasions!

   We had the full table service which was very good and a lot of food! This is a truly German restaurant loved in inner SE Portland. Tey lots of things on the diverse menu and be sure to make a reservation.

   Tasting menu was amazing! Plenty of food, well worth the price. Staff was great, friendly, and attentive!

   A great take on alpine food. We had the tasting menu which was a tour de force through the best of what their menu has to offer.

    Wow - what a night to remember. We received a gift card for Christmas and wanted to use it. I admit I wasn't thrilled when I reviewed the menu beforehand since I'm not a huge fan of Germanic style food. Boy was I proven wrong!!!! It was an incredible evening from start to finish. We received amazing service, got great recommendations on what to order (we went with the tasting menu - so much food) including wine suggestions. Everything was beautifully presented, the portions were very generous, and all of it was delicious. Can't recommend this more highly. Enjoy!!!
