In 2001 Jason Weiner and Eric Lemonides opened Almond Restaurant offering reasonable prices, bold bistro fare and friendly service. The French bistro quickly became one of the top spots in the Hamptons for locals, celebrities and tourists. Chef Jason Weiner quickly established himself in the Hamptons as top toque and over the years has established a very strong commitment to using locally farmed products and local produce in order to support the local community. Fast-forward 10 years and the iconic Hamptons French bistro enters a new era in a new location in downtown Bridgehampton. Almond’s new home is a historic space with 100-year-old tin ceilings, hand carved bar, classic white subway tile and a splash of color with signature zebra wallpaper, from an eponymous Italian restaurant in Manhattan, Gino, which recently ended its 65-year tenure. The menu is comprised of many French bistro favorites such as traditional escargot, steamed black mussels and steak frites.

The food, ambience and service was excellent. Wish the menu included more vegetarian options, however and notwithstanding, all in our party were accommodated. The Truffle Mac and Cheese is especially delightful. Very creamy and cheesy . The burger is also extremely tasty. Fries are delicious.

Very good food. Excellent service - staff is friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. Been coming here for years - whenever we are out east we eat at least two of our dinners here!

Almond Bridgehampton is my home away from home. The dishes are thoughtful and creative. Everybody is welcoming and kind. By far my favorite spot on the east end!

I love this place because the service is impeccable ( no plates removed till all table guests are finished, regular, but non invasive attention) the food is always good and I like the casual bistro interior.

Despite the fact that I informed our waiter that I was allergic to garlic—and he assured me that the scallops that I ordered were garlic free—the sauce that the scallops were in was loaded with garlic and I paid the price well into the next day.

Hi,
I'm an Almond regular and unfortunately this time Almond disappointed. My tablemates and I all got sick from the food and we spent yesterday recovering. I called and left a message to let them know - in case produce needed to be tossed or someone in the kitchen was sick - and received no reply. Not cool.

Unusual menu as always, focused on local sourcing. If you are local as we are, you know many of the farmers, vintners and craft suppliers. We shared the octopus (which is the past was skimpy for the price) but was excellent and a good portion, perhaps because we asked. The lobster pasta was excellent, a slight bite that didn't obscure the sweet delicate taste, relatively small portion, but plenty of lobster. My wife raved about the scallops, and we had ice cream for dessert. Two cocktails brought the bill to $150 + tip. This is the Hamptons. Added note, the owner is an active community supporter.

Many delicious and innovative options. Steak was delicious, truffle/soft-shell crab ramen a standout. Lobster spaghetti also excellent. Good quality oysters. Good cocktails. We had a great time, and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great restaurant.

Once again the guys at Almond keep the standards high. Locally sourced (and named) produce features strongly, with some imaginative plays on old favorites. Cocktails and wines by the glass are exceptional and unusual, and daily specials are always worth a try. Remains one of our favorite places in the Hamptons and despite having to charge for the cost of being open out there, it's really not bad value either. One of the places we look forward to year after year.

Ordered a Korean short-ribs meal with stickey rice last weekend.
Pretty stunned that there’s only 20 er cent meat on my short-ribs, which were expected to be, at least, 50 per cent meat.
I was so turned off by the poor quality of the ribs that I didn’t even order any coffee or desserts, afterwards.
The service, on the other hand, was quite acceptable; so was the ambiance.
Cheers

One of my favorite places. Excellent food, imaginative combinations expertly prepared and presented with above normal professional service - (our server explained the sauce under the scallops, no plates were cleared until all diners were finished). The interior is a nod to places I’ve eaten at in France complete with bistro lighting, bar and le must white subway tile. It was a wonderful temperate night and the doors were open. Feels neighborhood and casual chic. Excited by the new market next door! Looking forward to gastronomic take out. There needs to be more places with this great vibe. Keep at it!

It could’ve been exceptional except it was mediocre. As we arrived at your front door at 7:25 PM for a 730 reservation we were told by the maître d’ that we were in the computer for 8 o’clock. He said I don’t know who made this reservation but it’s in the computer for eight. Instead of saying there seems to be some confusion here I’ll be more than happy to take care of you as soon as possible as he looked at us like we were a Hair in his soup. He directed us to the bar where we were served by one of the best bartenders I’ve dealt with in a long, long time. Then after looking at an empty table for four in the middle of the restaurant for five minutes I went to find the manager and asked if he “thought” we could have that table and he actually had to think for a moment and then said oh of course! To make a long story short, our server was superb. Our meal was sub par in that it (the pork shoulder special) was was barely warm and extremely dry. We asked for some kind of sauce and soldiered on. We eventually left with absolutely no desire to recommend your establishment to our friends.

Love this place! We came last year for our anniversary and loved it so much we came back this year and hoped it was just as great and it was even better! Food was spectacular especially my husband's veal chop! Every person at the restaurant was gracious and attentive. We will be back and hopefully sooner than next summer!

Surpassed my expectations! I've heard great things about Almond but hadn't tried it. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the host sent over complimentary champagne, which was such a nice touch! The food was wonderful, and I am already planning my next visit so I can enjoy the pasta with lobster--it was outstanding!

A Father's Day dinner should have been better than this. Almond is a restaurant that we've tried in past summers. This time the salad was small. The spare ribs were not so wonderful. The fluke (which I've had in past summers) was a small portion. Almond can be terrific, but not this time.

When he learned that my husband and I came to Almond to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Nick, the manager, gave us a cozy table with a banquette. The wait staff were attentive and they wished us a happy anniversary several times. Aside from good food, we felt welcomed as new customers. We appreciated the overall personalized service.
