Believe they were short on service staff but no excuse for the poor service and food quality we received in a very delayed manor with no explanation or apology.

When we first arrived we were sat promptly however the experience went downhill from there. We ordered an app of wings, a pizza, breadsticks, salad, and tenderloin meal. At one point (about 40 mins after we ordered a tray of food was brought out to a neighboring table. There was food on the tray they didn’t order and my table was asked if it was ours. The item being a tenderloin meal. They handed me the plate. About 5 mins later they came and grabbed the plate from me because it belonged to another table and served it to them after it had been sitting in front of me. We waited about an hour total until our food finally came out. The appetizer came out with our meal. The pizza and bread sticks never came out (this was for our kids). I gave my kids my meal while we waited. Our waitress never stopped by until after 30 mins of the partial order being brought out. When asked where the pizza was at she stated it was just held up for a bit in the other kitchen. I did explain to her the service was unacceptable and that the meal we were still waiting on was for children. It should have been higher priority. I told her to cancel it and the breadsticks as everyone was already done eating. We didn’t receive an apology for the situation at all. Also to note my husband had to go get our silverware and did not receive refills. We will not be back. If you do dine here please note that the pizzas come from a second kitchen and they do not prioritize them for diners at the restaurant over the bowling alley. There is a high chance you will not receive your meal all together.

Thank you for your feedback Courtney, it will be used as a training tool. Your interaction was certainly not a normal experience, far from the standards we hold ourselves to. Our kitchen and cafe prioritize each meal as they come in and process in order received, but it is clear to see that this did not occur and we were not able to complete your meal. Our cafe and kitchen do have slightly different cook times, but that is because of the different items each produces not because of one area of the building or another. I do know this was not a normal situation from our servers, runners, or kitchen and would like the opportunity to earn another chance to show you the great hospitality we are striving to achieve each day. If you would care to, please call so we can discuss further. Mark

Great pizza, poor service and terrible management. We have always liked the pizza and Friday night music bingo but will likely not return after our recent experience… our server was clearly overwhelmed and lots of other staff aimlessly wandering around. We had to go to the bar to get water, food came out at all different times and the worst thing was that my daughter was burned by a completely inept server who threw the hot plate at her (instead of letting her know it was warm and setting it down). The manager made excuses and clearly does not have the ability to lead his staff on a busy Friday night. Overall truly terrible and disappointing. We’ll take our money elsewhere- plenty of other good spots.

although the server was a very nice young man he was so over loaded because they didnt staff correclty that it took13 minutes from the time i was seated to even be acnowledged and i am pretty sure if my friend who works there hadnt checked on me it would have taken longer the food was overpriced and mediocre at best
    Alley's AlehouseResponded on August 22, 2024
I'm sorry you had a bad experience Heather. We have been going through a great deal of server shortages, and would love to have many more servers on the floor. If you have anyone looking, we are hiring! It does upset me to hear about the food quality, we really put a lot of effort into our scratch kitchen. I would be interested to know what you ordered, to see where we missed the level of excellence that we normally produce. Again I'm sorry for the underwhelming experience, and please know we are working every day to improve our service and gain a larger better trained staff. I will be using your review as a coaching tool to help better our performance.

Took a while to get noticed and place drink order. Drinks came in plastic carry out cups. Ordered the nachos that we usually get. They have changed the recipe and they are not as good as they had been. They were also cold when they came out.

If you were looking for the pulled pork nachos, THEY ARE BACK!!! It was a sad day when they went off the menu. The drinks, however, I do apologize for. Our bartender must have thought you were outside, or going outside? Anyway, we want to get you back in and WOW you with some fantastic nachos, and delicious Signature Cocktails in fancy glassware. Call into the office and ask for Mark, lets try to get together.

This isn't a criticism of the server, who was in his second day. It's more in the way he was trained (or not trained). It was clear that he did not know how to operate the hand held device, and should have had someone assisting him while he served customers. Our order was incorrect all the way around, from the wrong appetizer, to bringing out two orders of our entree instead of one.
    Alley's AlehouseResponded on August 22, 2024
I'm terribly sorry Jody. This is certainly not an situation we like to hear about, but a necessary one sometimes. Training is a difficult time, and learning a new profession takes time and repetition. They do get shadowing training, but navigating the handheld devices alone can be awkward for a day or two, but they need to go through that experience and time to learn, as you certainly know from starting a new job in your youth. I can hopefully say he has greatly improved his skills on the tablets, and we would love the chance to show you and earn a recommendation. I cannot leave an email address on here, but you can reach me at 317-773-9988, Mark. We can discuss a possible return visit.

Our food took a while, but we did have a party of 22, so we missed part of our bowling time. The manager was great and gave each of the kids a gift card to the arcade!! Will be back when we’re in town next!!

Thanks for being understanding, we do try to adjust times if possible and all food is available everywhere in the building so you can eat and order on the lanes. Large groups are welcome and we have lots to keep you occupied, sometimes it's just a little tough to get things together for large groups. Again thanks for coming in and being flexible and understanding! We do appreciate you.

Waitress placed an incorrect food order for our table. She eventually brought the correct order but then she also forgot to bring a drink order and another food item. She was very nice but the place wasn’t busy enough to warrant all her mistakes and forgetfulness. One if the items we ordered was a pizza and it was excellent.
    Alley's AlehouseResponded on August 22, 2024
Thanks for the feedback Cheryl. We appreciate your candor and use it a guidance. So glad you enjoyed the pizza, we put a lot of love into them. I do hope to see you again so we get another chance to earn a couple more stars, and show you the hospitality we are striving to accomplish each day. I'm sorry we didn't live up to the standards this time.
