Outstanding service. Our server was Marija. The team, as a whole worked very well together, and each person was down to earth and pleasant.
Crab cake appetizer: Very Good.
Fig Ravioli: Excellent
Bucatini Carbonara: Excellent
Limoncello Sponge cake: Very good especially with limoncello to sip on.
Pistachio mousse: Very good
Overall: An excellent dining experience, and we are going back for dinner two days later!
Only downside was the location of our table for two which was just inside the lemon room. The floor is sloped there so my husband’s chair kept sliding downslope.
Service was outstanding. Staff was well groomed, professional, attentive, efficient. Definitely have.a great operational plan in place and executes it well.
Ordered Spanish Octopus appetizer. Not as tender as it should have been. The Sauce was very good.
Ordered Duck ragu pappardell. The food processing time was short. The pasta was cooked perfectly. However the dish was bland. Lacked flavor.
The food presentation was good. And temperature of food was good.
Couple minor observations. No olive oil with the bread, in Italy this would be a sin. No extra parmigiana cheese offered.

We really enjoyed our Mother’s Day lunch at Allegro. The Salmon was amazing, as was the Ossubucco Fries. We all enjoyed our meals!
We went to Allegro for Mother's Day brunch. I had the eggs benedict with crab and asked for the eggs to be poached just a minute longer than usual and they came out perfect and the dish was great. My son ordered the steak and eggs and also really liked it. My husband ordered the Tuscan Chicken from the Mother's day special menu and said the chicken was overcooked. Too bad since everything else was really good. Nice, energetic atmosphere and the service was great too.
I was so excited to dine here for mothers day. Unfortunately our server just was not on her game or something. She was incredibly inattentive and we had to wait much too long for everything we needed. She did not check on us after the food came out until after we called her over. She forgot to refill coffee. She had zero personality throughout the experience. Food was mostly good. I ordered the steak and eggs and at first it was overcooked but after I mentioned it they did make a new steak that was much better. Quiche was a little bland but decent. The best thing we got was the crab benedict, that was actually great. We shared a bottle of champagne for mimosas which was good. I would say that the value of the "Mexican Widow" cocktail is not worth the price. I would want to come back another time with a different server and hopefully the experience would be better. I have heard such great things about this place I don't want to immediately count them out after coming in on a busy holiday. I really enjoyed the design of the place, the bar was so cute.
All the food was AMAZING!! However I don’t recommend going if you’re planning on going with friends and want to have time to chat... we felt rushed throughout the entirety of our dinner... we were constantly asked if we were done when we were still eating and at the end our waiter told us we have 5 minutes to leave bc the next reservation shows up. I’ve NEVER had a restaurant do this. If you are going to eat a meal quickly 10/10 recommend but if you’re going to catch up with friends and want to enjoy some drinks/ have time to chat I don’t recommend.
An amazing place that is lively, excellent food and drinks in the heart of San Diego's Little Italy. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the drinks were all the highlight of our trip to San Diego's restaurants. We were shocked by how lively things were and it almost felt like a little slice of the world that's gone back to normal. There was a ton of outdoor space and a very beautiful indoor space. I had a cocktail that was unlike anything else I've ever had: it's a cigar tobacco infused take on an old fashioned that's served out of a light bulb and had a presentation that involved smoke. Very memorable!

Food took over an 1 hour and 30 minutes after ordering entrees but the food was great when it did come.
This place is nice, food was good, drinks were even better. Major disappointment was that I made a reservation for inside and instead they tried seating my boyfriend and I way far outside and on the street. I reminded the host that I booked for an inside table and then he said all he could give me was a small cocktail table to eat dinner at. Kinda rude and unprofessional and he really gave this place a bad name for a first impression. I probably won’t return.

LOVED our waiter Mossimo. He was incredible! Made the night. So kind, knowledgeable, friendly attentive and charming. He definitely made our experience what it was. Would come back for sure! Enjoyed the ambiance as well.

The duck pappardelle was one of the worst pastas I’ve ever had. The sauce tasted like a 50 cent cab of tomato sauce- zero salt. Very disappointing.

Food was okay not very good but the place was very clean and pretty.
Took a very long time after being seated to get a server, and the street-side seating on the Cedar St side loses pretty much all of the energy and ambiance of the actual restaurant. Bread was a little stale, but gnocchi was good. Nothing terrible about the experience but there are a dozen better places within a block or two. I expect the experience/service would have been better if sitting inside or closer to the restaurant.
Sat in the bar area, the bartender was our server so he was pretty busy. Asked for our salad ahead of time but he ordered it the same time as our entrees which was annoying and made us feel rushed. The salmon was barely room temp and the shrimp he must’ve been an employee or a partner there. The server took the fettuccine off the bill but an apology from a manager or something other than “I gotchu” would’ve been more appropriate. Very disappointing experience, definitely will not be back.
We sat in one of the auxiliary sections that they added post pandemic. The food was good but the service was extremely slow. It took them 40 minutes to get our drinks to our table. I think they expanded far beyond their service capacity.
It's a cute and fun place. Lots of energy and people, they were very busy. Sometimes it took awhile for the server to come back around, but overall good service for how busy they were. The food was good, but I wasn't blown away. I would recommend taking a group here as the menu is good for sharing plates, and they seem to set up for having big groups.

They sat us in a cramped corner by the bathroom which was strange since we had a reservation and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table that wasn’t even set yet. Service was outstanding, we were never rushed and our server helped the meal to flow perfectly. Food was excellent but the parmesan wheel is not available on the weekends which was what drew us to this restaurant in the first place, wish they would put that on their online menu at least.
Lots of choices in Little Italy for Italian food. Allegro's strength is clearly meat and possibly fish; it's definitely not pasta. Very crowded and loud, particularly if seated outside on India St. Not a favorite, but worth a try.
Super friendly staff! Expert knowledge and welcoming vibe. Very classy vibes. It’s the perfect place to have a nice dinner with good friends! Our waiter, Baran, was excellent, he helped us pick appetizers and our entree that were incredible. Allegro’s house sommelier even helped us pair the perfect wine, which was an amazing touch. Nothing but great things to say about our experience at Allegro’s. We’ll definitely be going back!!

Our server ignored us the whole night. If it wasn't for Colton, our great food runner that attended to us, we would have left. The food is not authentic, but not horrible. More focused on the aesthetics and ignoring their guests.
I specifically selected outdoor sitting but when I got there, they did not have outdoor sitting so we were seated in the patio. Also, I put "birthday" to occasion but it seems like no one really checks that. These are the only 2 things that bothered me visiting here. However, food and vibe are really nice.
Was rushed and just horrible experience for our special anniversary will not be back.
