Celebrated a birthday at Allegria and had a wonderful meal!
The food is unique. Quite a selection .
Wait staff excellent. Only critique is noise level though our waiter did turn music down for us.
We save this restaurant for special occasions and have never been disappointed.
We went not knowing what to really expect, but after our appetizer salad came out. We instantly knew, that wow the food here is great! The ambience was excellent. It was perfect for a date night!
After some anxious consideration and polling all members of our party of 6 on their comfort level eating inside a restaurant on New Year's Eve, we decided to take the plunge and were all extremely pleased we did so. Allegria is a small restaurant on historic Main St. in Carbondale. The atmosphere was warm, mountain casual and welcoming. Our selection of starters: antipasto plate and stuffed mushrooms were pretty typical, however all of our mains were exceptional: the osso bucco was flavorful and not overly rich, lobster ravioli with mussels was divine, Pappardelle with lamb bolognese was a hit, as were the beef stroganoff and linguine with clams. Our wine selections/recommendations were also very good. I'm not a cocktail drinker normally, but shout out to the Iron Rose. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of this little restaurant and the quality of our meals. If we are ever back in Carbondale, we'll be sure to eat here again!
Courtney and Stanley and Scott were so amazing!! Great food great service and wonderful ambiance. The Gent cut prime rib was one of the best prime ribs that I have had! Don’t miss this great find I Carbondale.
Scott is a master behind the bar. Best espresso martini ever! Stanley was so kind and interest. Courtney was a great waitress! The Gent cut prime rib was about 30 ounces of delicious melt in your mouth meat! Great pasta. Carbonara was great! Must not miss this place. Quaint over one hundred year building on Main Street!!
Everything was delicious. Don’t skip the dessert
Amazing, authentic, great food and service
Fantastic food and service! Our second time to visit and eat at Allegria and will always go back when in the area. There are still meals on the menu I want to try!
Love everything about this restaurant, it was our first time. The service and the food were top notch
The staff was amazing very attentive and helpful. The food was good. All in all, under the circumstances, a very pleasant first time in this restaurant
I realize it is Covid times but the restaurant was taking Open Table reservations up to 9pm so I thought 8:15pm would be OK. We were rushed from the minute we sat down and had no time to enjoy the fabulous food and drinks we were having. We had planned on having a bottle of wine but wouldn't want to take any more of the staff's precious time, that's also why I didn't try the Osso Bucco and settled for a pasta dish. When we told the server we'd be passing on dessert, for the same time constraint reasons, she told the guy in the kitchen and he literally cheered outload. The menu was excellent, the food amazing, the ambiance pleasant, the staff, albeit knowledgeable, was the let down. We were so prepared to have a much longer stay, but getting out with a low bill was nice, so thanks for that.
Service was wonderful as usual and the food was fresh and flavorful. Best Italian sangria!
Best Italian food in the valley. Alway high quality food and service.
We thoroughly enjoyed a weeknight dinner here, finding all the offerings we tried to be creative and well-prepared. And the service was both professional and personable. The "Street Corn" appy that we shared was an indulgent combination of flavors. My wife was excited to get house-made gluten-free gnocchi (at a significant upcharge) with perfectly cooked shrimp and nduja calabrese sauce. And my strozziapreti was nicely paired with a smoked almond tomato pesto alfredo sauce and chicken confit. The bar provided some nice alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and I enjoyed a glass of a premium cab franc with my meal. The prices match the high quality of the offerings, but I would certainly return for a special occasion.
Very very good!!! Have come here before and always enjoyed the service and the food. Had a really nice Manhattan this time. So yummy.
If you visit the Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, El Jebel area and don’t stop in at Allegria you are missing a true gem. Last week was my eighth trip to the area and my ninth stop at Allegria. This is the best food, setting and team - servers, bartender, cooks - in the region. Do yourself a favor and go.
Missed the cheesy dinner rolls. Service was good. Food was fine, didn't blow my skirt up.
Waited 40 min past reservation to be seated. Soup arrived cold, was reheated and ok. Linguine & clams had insipid white sauce. We were a given 1 complimentary glass of wine for a table of 4, because of the wait and other problems. Unusually, poor night.
Allegria- is fabulous . We dined twice at Allegria while recently in Carbondale, CO. Our guest from Aspen said that it trumped anything there. They have owned homes for over 30 years in Aspen. The service and wait staff work seamlessly together. The food fare is outstanding. Each entree better than the other. The flavors were distinctive and well prepared snd presented. The chef introduced himself at our table. The wine list is excellent with something for all taste and budgets. It is a great value in the valley. Don’t miss it.
Great food and service. Best restaurant in Carbondale!
Excellent food in a quaint setting. The staff was very pleasant and the night was very relaxing for my S O and I. It was her birthday and everything worked out very well, thank you for a beautiful evening.
Superb! First to last course all excellent. Great flavors and unique combinations. Outdoor seating delightful.
I had gnocchi with scrimp dish. Shrimp was cooked just right and the sauce was perfect. The gnocchi was a little overcooked (not aldente). Best restaurant in the area.
Stanley treated us very well and the food, as always, is really great on value. Reasonable wine by the glass also.
Amazing food and service. Cute lication
Each September we trek from home in the Denver area to a vacation rental in Carbondale. Each September we dine at Allegria at least twice during our stay. We have done this since this gem of a restaurant first opened. In this year of Covid-19, Allegria was the very first restaurant we went to for a dine-in experience since March 2020.
We had, as always, a fantastic time. The service, thoughtfully adopted to accommodate coronavirus restrictions, was nothing short of impeccable. The food - my husband had the chicken Parmesan and I had the halibut -was beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
I was pleased to see many more menu selections than in the past that were a bit lighter in calories so I felt justified in eating every single delicious bite.
The bread, oh, the bread! You could make a meal out of it, it is that good. Don't forget to order it. We did...twice during our meal :)
We appreciate the ambiance even more now because of the limited seating and tried to make up for it with a generous tip to support this outstanding restaurant.
We have always been grateful for the pleasant, muted music and hushed conversations from the mostly adult patrons. Kids that have dined when we were there were typically very well behaved.
Please offer your patronage to Allegria. You will benefit from a wholly delightful experience and help Allegria continue to flourish. It's a win:win!
Veal Osso Buco was amazing! Everything was wonderful.
The ambiance was nice; given COVID the street in front of the restaurant was blocked off and we were seated outside. I had the Oyster and Baked Clams Clams Casino & Oyster Rockefeller to start, clam linguine as my main and tiramisu dessert. The oysters were decent but the baked clams and breading were very dry. The clam linguine was good and the tiramisu didn’t have enough lady fingers so it was just really cream which was disappointing. Service was good. I’d like to give it another try but it’s a little overpriced for what we received.
We cannot day enough about Allegria!!! What a perfect little restaurant with delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. We went to celebrate my birthday and had the best time! Our server was fantastic and recommended some exquisite food. My husband had the beef stroganoff and I had the linguine with fresh clams. We started with the pesto stuffed mushrooms. Finished with the chocolate molten cake and the Panzerotti. Wow.. just wow... Next time we’re in Carbondale we will definitely be going back!!
Best food in Carbondale! Andreas and team are phenomenal.
Quite nice as always
Always good food and enjoy the outdoor dining Service was great as well as friendly
Love the ambiance, food & staff So great to have the street closed.
Great service, delicious food! One of my favorites in Carbondale!
It was my anniversary. I mentioned that to open table. No special mention at all.
Table way too small for 4 people.
Amazing place, wonderful food and great staff. Top notch all the way around!
excellent menu with lots of fresh seasonal ingredients.
Great spot! Big menu - the Ched comes to each table. Definitely worth a visit.
As always. Our favorite place when in Carbondale. Love the owner and his family. Attention to details and menu is wonderful. Never disappoints us
