   Food was great! Very authentic and portions were huge. Great service on top of that and reasonable prices.

   The service, ambience ,location and especially most importantly the food is exceptional. Always! Our last visit we ordered a Caesar salad, grilled sea bass, and filet of beef - perfection! Most impressive presentation as always cooked perfectly ! Do not hesitate ! The menu is diverse the wine list excellent. Just do it! And get the mushroom soup - best I’ve ever had!!!

   My friend and I had a superb dinner at Alfred’s on 04/30/2025. The service was excellent. The ambience was charming and the food was just outstanding. We’re lucky to have a restaurant on Hilton Head Island of this quality. Thanks again for a great evening.

   This is always one of our stops while in Hilton Head. Love love love the sauerbraten! Wish I could take your restaurant home with us to Lexington.

   We were celebrating my husband’s 74th birthday!! You’ll never get a better cocktail anywhere. Martinis and cosmopolitans come in a tall shaker container and it is enough for two!! Food was excellent last night, as always! Party of six, all of us ordered something different. We were all very pleased by the flavors on our palates!! Kudos to Chef Jorge and his assistant in training last night. Everything was super!! And don’t leave without getting a tasty dessert, chocolate layer cake and apple strudel are our favorites!! Thank you Linda and Gloria, excellent service.

   Someone had recommended Alfred's so I looked online and the website was impressive. The food offerings were varied and the reviews were good. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I really would not go back. 1. Going into the place, the atmosphere is really lacking. It's in an aging strip mall right by a beauty shop. The outside dining is set up in an "alley" and there is no ambiance whatsoever. you look at the wall of the adjoining building and customers walk by your table all night. The inside of the restaurant was even worse. The tables were a pushed as tight as could be and still have the wait staff help. The noise level was deafening. the alls had cheap prints, really quite bad all the way around. The best part is you could watch the kitchen staff prepare the food, if you were seated at the right spot. 2. I ordered the gorgonzola salad. It was horrible. It was served warm. The dressing with cheap balsamic was ladled over the top of the salad and it was more like eating brown vinegar soup. Scratch that, couldn't eat it. 3. Everyone's entree seemed to be okay. Nothing special but nothing horrific either. 4. The wine offerings were varied. 5. The wait staff was nice, efficient and professional.

   We loved the chicken liver pate and warm crusty rolls. My mother enjoyed the rack of lamb & I ordered yummy potato crusted halibut. I took half home because I was saving belly room for the apple strudels🤩👌🏻.

   Once again, we had the perfect dinner with Trent as our server. He is so knowledgeable and attentive- and makes a delicious table side cosmo (leaving the shaker for refill). I tried the sea bass for the first time and it was delicious. I subsititited red cabbage for mashed potatoes because their cabbage is so good!!! What a gem Alfred’s is - tucked away with nice ambience and amazing food choices!

    Always reliably delicious, Alfred's has become a mainstay on the Island. Cozy ambiance, attentive service and outstanding food prepared by two dedicated chefs make for a wonderful evening out. This evening we shared the best potato pancakes (just like my mother's!) with just enough crisp served with both applesauce and sour cream; an awesome cream of mushroom soup, perfect texture and flavorful; tender halibut with crab and a huge piece of delicate schnitzel with spaetzle. Wouldn't think of leaving without the apple strudel for dessert! Wine selection paired well with our dishes and reasonably priced.
