Steven was amazing! Dinner was fantastic
Fabulous experience all around!
Delicious steaks with great service!
So I have to admit that this fine establishment exceeded my already high expectations. Service was top notch, ambiance was perfect and the food was amazing and well worth the hefty price tag. Definitely one of the better steakhouses I’ve visited.
Getting seated wasn’t very smooth. Had to wait a while despite several open tables at our reservation time. Waited additional 15 min outside right outside the door and eventually went back in and was told they couldn’t find us. Food and service was pretty good. I do like their location though.
For Wagu beef lovers, this is a special place. It's all very very good. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the corporate atmosphere. I found the decor bland. Fortunately the service is fantastic and the food delicious.
Wonderfully attentive service. We did the tasting menu & it was amazing. Also great wine pairings as well. My favorite dishes were the caviar purse, hamachi shots & the steak. Best steak I’ve ever had & I loved it with the lava salt. Such a wonderful splurge!
Although warned in advance that a VA Director EMeritus was in party with a service dog, we were placed in a tent outside “due to the dog”. A clear violation of the ADA. I refused to be seated where the dog would have to lie on a cold cement floor. Even I was cold and had a jacket on. I asked for Manager and over the next half hour three different people claimed they were Manager. Eventually we were seated in dining Room. However the staff we first met made their disdain clear. Service was spotty. I didn’t even get a place setting. We had to keep flagging servers.
Been there many times but never again. As a physician in Pasadena I reported ADA violation to Pasadena Public Health.
Wonderful place to celebrate. Fantastic food and service, so we had a lovely experience.
Good service, good food.
Service is great. Great place to have a date, anniversary or birthday.
We arrived 20 min early for our reservation and were seated promptly. Food and drinks were excellent and server was attentive. Dishes were explained as they were brought out. Loved the complimentary grape cotton candy and birthday dessert for my boyfriend at the end!
First time at this Alexander. Often dine at the Sea in Palo Alto. Great experience and holds true to the Alexander service and quality standard.
Excellent food and service would definitely recommend
After going through the process of making a reservation, the reception staff could not find it on her computer even with the reservation number. I was a bit surprised at that.
Had I not been given a gift to the establishment the cost would have deterred me coming.
Food was mediocre. For the price, Ruth’s Chris is a much better option. Service was horrible - no silverware on the table despite multiple requests, food took forever, and the prices were ridiculous for the quality. Will not be coming here again.
We celebrated our 1 Year engagement here and our experience was great. Frederick took really good care of us by giving us advice on dishes and drinks (whisky/wine). The overall service was great. The food was cooked perfectly from the appetizers to the entrees. We will definitely come back and we also highly recommend those that are celebrating special occasions to have them here. The price matches the great service and hospitality.
The experience was very good. Like how everything was spaced out so it felt private, intimate, safe. Also I liked the noise level you can have a conversation without speaking too loudly and you never heard anybody else’s conversation..
Food was subpar, it’s 1 star for food at this price range. If it was a $$ range instead of 4, I would give it 2 stars. But at $$$$ range this is an easy 1 star. Bread and dessert were good, everything else in between were disappointing, and me and my partner had the same conclusion. First they served the wrong oyster claiming it was Kumamoto. As soon as it was delivered I said this is not Kumamoto, it was big and flat, and from first taste it was obvious it’s not it. It literally taste like buffet style oysters. And the fact we had it from another restaurant only days ago we both knew it was not it. I asked the waiter and he doubled down claiming it’s genuine Kumamoto multiple times, and he laughed and said it was just a bit bigger “genuine” Kumamoto. Then another server come out few mins later admitting it was not Kumamoto lol, and quickly took it away without bringing out Kumamoto as replacement. We were not charged but that was a bad sign to start the night. Then came the cod which was undercooked, honestly it needed more time of cooking. It tasted raw but not like sushi. It had a high ocean taste which is odd for a cooked fish. And once we came to the Australian ribeye, we both agreed that prime Costco ribeye we had recently were way better, and that was home cooked. This had a lot of hard tendons, and center were pretty much raw and under seasoned. The top crust were all black. It was not a flavorful crust, but more like biting into coal. Two of us manage to eat roughly half of this 20 oz steak and we just couldn’t anymore, and honestly we left still a bit hungry.
I think out of my favorite 20+ steakhouses in SoCal, this wouldn’t make the list. But I do have to say the service was great and environment was nice.
Friends long time no see.
Excellent food and great atmosphere
Dinner and service was phenomenal. Server made the dinning experience that much better.
