Very friendly workers. Delicious food. Outdoor seating decorations a bit bland compared to Ruth Chris and Mastros. Can’t wait to return for indoor dining!
Great service and food.
Overall it was a good experience however I did visit this restaurant a week prior so I had a baseline of what to expect. First off, Steven was great, super friendly, checked in every so often and answered all questions we had.
We did bring our own bottle of wine and I understand the corkage fee but it was not offered to be decanted. For $50 I would hope it’s at lest offered even though it’s sometimes not needed.
When I had come a week prior, Eddie offered to decent our wine and even noticed it was not at a good temperature and offered to chill it for a bit.
We were celebrating an anniversary and perhaps I missed putting that in the reservation which I don’t think I did and I honestly don’t expect a greeting, but the table next to us was celebrating as well and they were greeted.
Lastly, the week prior, we were given complimentary champagne to start. Not sure if that’s just random but wanted to note that. I don’t want to feel like the entitled guy but since I literally visited the week before, I just thought that was a thing.
Finally we loved the cotton candy it was a nice touch. Again, the last week it also accompanied some free chocolates as well but no biggie just wanted to note it.
The food is amazing from the appetizers to the dessert. Wife and I were more than happy with that. Steven was awesome, any other day I would say things are perfect but of course I had my previous visit to compare it to.
Thank you!
Probably one of the best meals I've ever had from Service to Food taste, quality, overall. I dine often and was quite impressed from top to bottom. No matter how much the bill is, it will ALL be worth the trip!!!
Fantastic night out. It had been months since our last dining out experience and we were glad we started with Alexander’s. Food, drinks, ambience, and service were all exceptional. A special call out to the service since they seemed to know how to engage with us just the right way. Beautiful patio set up as well.
This is a premiere steakhouse and fine dining experience. While we were seated outside, it was in a mostly walled tent with heaters and linens on the tables. It was not drafty and was very comfortable.
When you enter the restaurant and walk past the bar area, you’ll see an insanely large selection of distilled spirits. One would call it pretentious if it wasn’t for the fact that everything else they do is even better, and grows throughout the course of your meal, culminating in the best soufflé we’ve ever experienced. The soufflé was described by my children as “pillows of heaven.”
Alas, I digressed. This is a steakhouse. While my son’s 4 ounce Sanuki Wagyu was absolutely incredible, the American ribeye and filet were also remarkable. You will not be disappointed. With Wagyu, keep in mind the steaks are priced in 3-4 ounce servings. Our service didn’t disappoint. The staff was highly attentive yet unobtrusive.
Excellent food. Great service. Be prepared to pay it not cheap, but well worth the splurge.
Delicious meal, I'm sure the experience will improve when the covid limitations are eventually lifted.
Great dining experience. Our server Ryan was fantastic!
Our new favorite steakhouse! We get great service from our favorite waiter Frederick, the food is amazing and you can’t beat the ambiance! We will be back
Great meal and amazing staff! This place is definitely a splurge but well worth the price!
This was our first date night out since the pandemic and we were so pleased with the service and the ambiance that Alexanders created for us in their outdoor terrace. It felt romantic and special. The food was exceptional as always - we ordered the hamachi shots which is always a favorite of ours plus the filet mignon 8 oz, which is cooked perfectly. The sommelier was attentive and recommended a wonderful bottle of reisling. The special touches are always appreciated - cotton candy and small dessert bites to end the meal. I can't wait to go back!
Food is good just not $600 for two people good. $80 drinks of hibiki also over priced I get the pandemic still no reason to jack up prices
Great service, great food!
The food is wonderful and the service is great
Great service, amazing steak.
Early Valentines dinner for my wife and I!! First time they’re great service foods amazing love it
Everyone was amazing great staff
Best Steak in Los Angeles.
Our server Nick was very polite and kind. Ryan the maître d’ was awesome as well. I truly enjoyed the experience and I looked forward to going back.
Excellent service. Good ambiance.
Nice outside patio for dining.
This is our favorite dine in place. Indoor and outdoor. We will be back next month.
From bread/butter to filet mignon to classic ribeye steak to all the sides, especially the mushrooms, this place is so darn good as always! We got to try the new batch of whiskey and some incredible wine selection.
Wonderful meal and service. Hamachi shots are a must!
Pricey but worth it. Great service. Delicious food.
Great spot for classy dining! Food and Drinks were amazing!
Good food. Good service. And it’s good to be back.
Alexander’s has a great reputation, and my girlfriend and I are huge on steakhouses and typically come to a classier one about once a month.
Unfortunately this restaurant just missed its mark for us. The appetizers were a bit more foreign than we were used to, the recommended “most popular” appetizer was nothing special, the sides were good at best (pretty basic Mac and Cheese, and the Australian Wagyu we got to share (30 oz believe?) was cold and unsalted. Honestly it all started out semi-great but I drew the line at the steak being unsatisfactory.
We’re really not high maintenance people and never ask waiters/waitresses to take plates back. I just personally have to judge to a bit higher of a standard when the meal is $300+. This money would have been much better spent and enjoyed at Mastro’s / BOA / Fleming’s / etc.
It was a shame to eat outdoors when the interior ambiance was so spectacular, but during this covid Alexander's managed to pull off a warm outdoor experience. The service from the front desk to everyone that touched our table has been more than friendly and helpful. Frédéric held our hands through our wine selection and made sure every sip was beyond our expectations. Every dish we ordered was beyond our expectations and our favorite dish of the night was the wagyu brioche and the bread service was embarrassingly too good. I can't reccomend this place enough.
As always, the food and service was amazing. Love this restaurant.
Everything was fine until we used the restrooms. They were filthy and disgusting.
The food was only average this visit but the lemon drop martini we ordered made the trip worth it.
I was disappointed with the staff’s flagrant attempts to up-sell us. Perhaps they’re in need due to COVID but it was tacky and awkward.
Everything was delicious. Worth it! Service was excellent. Must try the Korean fried cauliflower.
This steakhouse is amazing mainly because of our waiter
We had excellent food and excellent service
the evening was perfect
Great place to dine....very classy
Weird limited choice menu, even considering COVID lockdown. Portions were tiny, and although the food was good (not great), I was hungry after dinner. Service was spotty. Better choices elsewhere. I gave the overall rating of 4 star, but in reality, it's really 3.5 at best.
Wonderful service and staff.
Great service!!
Marvelous anniversary experience, acknowledged by the staff in numerous ways. Food quite good, service outstanding.
We had a wonderful Birthday Celebration. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Rob is the best. I would recommend Alexanders to everyone.
