   Wonderful, friendly (yet professional) service, starting in the bar before moving upstairs to the restaurant. Food was amazing (very inventive and interesting seasonal menu), with a wine to match (thanks to the well informed staff). Will definitely be returning (however I'd advise booking in advance).

   First time back at the Albertine since new owners took over. Glad to see the same easy going ambience has remained. The wines are as good as ever and glad to see the level of food has gone up from the home made fayre that used to be served up. We had the lardon and chili toast which was delicious, followed by the bavette which was good, though perhaps too close to the charcoals on the grill and ended up with a bitter burnt taste.

   In the shadow of Westfield and all its generic places to eat, this is a gem. Personal, friendly, good food and great wine list. A place to hide away and forget the outside world. Highly recommend...

   We were worried about Albertine losing its wonderful character with the change of ownership but it has lost none of the magic, it has just gained some fab food and lovely staff.

   Very unassuming looking from the outside, but friendly staff and good fresh ingredients. Smallish menu, which is a good thing as they’re not trying to offer something for everyone. The Bavette with chips and Bearnasie sauce was excellent!

   Unfortunately, the restaurant had been fully booked for an event. So when we arrived, our booking was worthless. We had little option but to eat in the wine bar. The staff apologised and said that they had been trying to contact us by phone. But the double booking should never have occurred as the Open Table web site should have had that date blocked, thus preventing me from booking!

   Short menu, full of robust flavours, perfectly cooked and served up with panache by Poppy. Very happy with our experience.

    As ever we had a fantastic evening at Albertine. The bavette frites is definitely one of the best steaks in town! everything was declared delicious by all, particularly the fish stew. The wine list never disappoints.
