Matt provided excellent service. Our soup, entrees and sides were prepared perfectly. Our brunch was capped off by an incredible cappuccino made Padron. It was a wonderful dining experience!

Our experience with Al Biernat’s was pretty bad. We unfortunately decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday here, which is not something we will ever do again. From the moment we arrived, the valet did not greet us instead we waited a while, eventually got out of our car and found the valet ourselves. Once inside we had an initial waiter then a completely different one who did not know what we ordered. We waited a while before getting our food and drinks. Water refills were non existent as I had to drink out of my husbands cup until I waived the waiter down and asked for a refill. The food was good and this is probably the only positive thing I can say. I do not recommend this location and will probably not come back.

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner. Service was fine and food was very good. I was slightly disappointed with the oysters on the half shell. Whoever shucked them lost all of the oyster juice which resulted in a dry unappetizing presentation. It’s a crime to lose the juicy brine that makes east coast oysters special. The mussels and clams in white wine sauce were divine. And I LOVED the Hokkaido A5 Wagyu. Literally melted in my mouth and was easily worth the high price. My wife enjoyed her filet, but was jealous of my Wagyu. The broccolini and risotto were meh. The Coconut pie was a small piece and wasn’t anything I’d claim if I were a pastry chef. The steaks here easily blow Chamberlains out of the water.

The restaurant was recommended by some close friends so we chose it to celebrate our anniversary. Plus, we brought another couple celebrating their retirement that day. Upon arrival, they confirmed we were there for our anniversary, as did our server. After that, there was no mention again. Is there a reason they ask if there is a special occasion then do nothing? Odd. I can't say I was exactly wowed by our experience. We had a good time, but can't say we found any reason to return with so many other dining options available to us. To start, the restaurant is VERY noisy as is, then we were seated next to some sort of prep/bar/dessert station in the back that added even more noise. It was difficult to hear conversations. As the evening progressed, the noise level only increased. The food: Three of us had the sea bass on risotto and all agreed it was spectacular. My wife had the Japanese horseradish crusted halibut which she said was excellent. Our group shared three sides: creamed corn, whipped sweet potatoes, and roasted Brussels sprouts. My wife and I are Brussels sprouts averse, so I can't speak to them. However, the whipped sweet potatoes were runny - similar to, say, pancake batter. The creamed corn was ok, but I believe it is made with either canned or frozen corn making it chewy. Both sides were just above room temperature upon arrival. For dessert, my wife had salted caramel gelato which she said was very good. Another of our group had the carrot cake which she enjoyed. Two of us had the coconut cream pie which I had been told was a "must have". It was unlike any CCP I've had or made. Very dense and heavy. My friend and I ended up scooping the filling out of the crust because it was, no joke, almost 3/8" thick making it very difficult to eat. I would not recommend. To sum up, for the money spent (almost $500), my wife and I were not impressed enough to return to this location nor recommend.

Top-of-the-line food ….steaks are the best in town… The only negative is it is very loud and very hard to carry on a conversation… In other words, very poor acoustics not sure if it’s on purpose but too loud, but so is their restaurant downtown so I think that is the way it is designed

I loved the meal. Food and service were excellent. But the noise level was just short of being inside a football stadium after a touchdown or standing beneath the end of an active runway at a major airport. Absolutely awful!

Very attentive, but unobtrusive service. Food variety for brunch entertained all palettes, not just breakfast but lunch. It was a special occasion, and we were spoiled,and made to feel as if our group was the only table they had to assist. Absolutely will be back.

just a Saturday lunch. a recommendation of tater tots with gravy hit the spot. my wife had the crab and corn chowder. it was heavenly. i had the seabass. cooked to perfection. the waiter, Scott, was attentive and prompt with the wine and food. it was fantastic.

danny is the finest bartender in dallas. he knows how to make my manhattan. color, taste and i am happy. food great. try creamed spinach. 12 oz filet perfection. valet attentive and on time. check in seamless. a great mid dallas steak house. and business is conducted here!

Service was over the top, very attentive without hovering. Anticipating the needs of the table and making suggestions as needed. While waiting for my car to show up, a waiter saw me sitting and offered to bring me some water or a cocktail, very thoughtful and observant. The food was fantastic, my steak was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend.

Our Server Steve was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. It was our first time there. The food was amazing! Atmosphere was nice and quiet. We will definitely be coming back when we’re in Dallas.

Our evening was fabulous! OK, it's a pricey steak but we split the Cowboy Ribeye, cooked absolutely perfectly, oh so tasty seasoning and definitely enough for 2 persons to split. Side orders of mushrooms and green beans were as close to perfect as I could ever imagine. The green beans had a small 'kick" with the kitchen adding in an acceptable level of red pepper flakes. Our complimentary key lime pie (celebrating my date's birthday) was not ideal but you can't argue with free. Service was impeccable!! Somehow, perhaps by reading our body language, the server let us do what we wanted to do, which was to have a long conversation during drinks, and he didn't bother us at all. Smart move! Dinner was just a fabulous experience!

Excellent Dallas institution. The waiters are men and women who appear to have worked here for years. The manager told me turnover is low. Customer service was top notch. The prices are very high. The food was excellent. Even our house salads were superb. My husband and I split the 12 oz filet. I was very pleased. The steamed spinach was seasoned well, too. Parking is valet only (unless you park in the hotel next door and walk over). It was crowded on a Saturday night with a diverse customer population.

Service was great. Wonderful atmosphere, and the manager stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was going well. Very attentive service all around. Top notch. Food was marginal, not really worth the price. We had a lobster, which was OK, had some strange seasoning on it that we didn’t care for and was a little mealy. Also had the buffalo, which was very good if you enjoy more gamy meat. The buffalo itself was great, perfectly cooked. Just needed more seasoning, and the sides that it came with were somewhat disappointing, soggy, asparagus, and some potatoes, that kind of tasted like hashbrowns. The au gratin potatoes tasted more like a potato soup with bacon and cheese whiz. they were very watery, and the potatoes were under cooked. Great wine selection, and the bar was vibrant and a lot of fun. The bartenders were engaging and made some great drinks. Good time, and will be back again.

Filet was very good. Steak knife was not sharp. Escargot was excellent. Generous portion of sea bass. Wedge salad was ho hum. Seemed watery. Would have liked warm bread. Had to ask for it. Server didn’t pay attention to both diners and not to the one who was paying!

My brother was in town for a birthday surprise visit his wife arranged. We lost our youngest brother and his estate was recently closed which afforded us an opportunity to celebrate at Al Biernat’s. My daughter, her husband, their 2 children, my brother, my husband and myself enjoyed a once in a lifetime dining experience. The service was fantastic and the food was the best many of us ever had. The ambiance was comfortable for all and even the music was a favorite genre of my daughter and son-in-law. We created a wonderful memory in honor of my brother thanks to this fabulous restaurant. A definite 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend.
