About
Always a great place to go for good food and cocktails! Never disappoints and they’re very consistent. Love all the windows on the side that allow the natural light to come through making for a great ambiance.
We miss the food, fun and fellowship... see you all soon
Food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was super busy and they seemed to be down on staff so the service wasn’t great but they did their best and we didnt wait too long get our food.
Great selection of food for whatever you are looking for. Fairly priced drinks. Service that is casual and just attentive enough. We were seated by the window upstairs which was so nice.
The food was trip-worthy... the Short Rib Hash was phenomenal.... highly recommend you stop by anytime your in Baltimore.
Our food took over an hour to be served for a 5 top when it was not very busy. I believe the server forgot to ring it in as he came by the table 30 minutes after we ordered to check what one person at the table actually ordered. We watched tables who came in after us get their food and eat before we got ours. It also felt like once we got our food the server was ready for us to go. The table next to us had been sitting before we got in and they had bottomless mimosas as well however they were still getting refills on their drinks when the server brought us our check and said thanks for coming in. It felt as though he had already messed up putting our food in so he would just rather get us out of there. Very disappointed with the service we received and the quality of the food. At least three of us barely touched what we ordered as a meal.
First time here, restaurant week. Wouldn’t change a thing. Great service, food, portions, beverages. We’ll be back
It was restaurant week and the kitchen could not keep up with the orders and the wait staff had no idea who ordered what. First we were brought someone else's appetizers , little did I know it would be an hour before ours were actually brought to the table otherwise I would have taken them even though it wasn't our order. When our soup finally came out we had no spoons to eat it with and it took the waitress 20 minutes to get back with spoons. After our appetizers we were brought dessert even though we had not gotten our main course yet so we sent that back too. By the time we actually got our main course, which was about two hours in, I was to aggravated to even enjoy it. Very disappointing!
First we waited 15 minutes to sit down to our reservation it was restaurant week and I understand they were busier than normal, however they should not seat more people than the kitchen can handle. Service was extremely slow. Chicken tacos were dry and tasteless. Chicken pot pie was literally soup. Dessert was put on the side of the table without even clearing dinner dishes first. Everything about the dining experience was terrible. The waiter was apologetic and took 10% plus the one glass of wine off the check. However this couldn’t even begin to make up for it.
We have been to AJ's on Hanover many times. Each time the food is delicious. Each time, the service is awful. This time was no different. It was during Restaurant week so they should have had extra staff on hand to handle the crowd--they did not. It took over 30 minutes for the server to take our order. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, after inquiring after it many times. We asked to speak with the manager and he never appeared until we asked a 2nd time. We told him it was terrible--and we were not going to pay. He had no arguments. I'm sad because we really like the food, and supporting a neighborhood place. I don't think we can give it another try though--to scared to waste the time.
Everything was good except my pasta which was the lobster carbonara
Most of the food was delicious. The appetizer my date got wasn’t that special and my chocolate cake was over cooked, but everything else for restaurant week was DELICIOUS (especially the Lobster carbonara! )
We have had all good experience at AJ’s! We dinned there for dinner and took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu and everything was very smooth. The place was filled up but we received our dishes in a timely manner and our server was right on top of everything. We were very pleased with our food presentation, the taste and the portion sizes. I would recommend visiting them for a night out!
My friends and I took advantage of Thursday Night specials: Happy Hour apps/drinks, 3 for $30 menu options. Brussels, french onion soup, salmon, lobster mac, steak frites were delicious!
As always, the food was delicious. This restaurant is perfect for group dining. They have a great menu with a variety of options that anyone would be able to find something good on.
Love the design of the dining room. Went for brunch and the food and drinks were delicious. Will definitely be going back!
The brunch here is always so delicious! Definitely so glad this opened in Sobo/Fed Hill to have a great brunch restaurant.
Food was great and service was equally as awesome! Will be back :)
Nice addition to the neighborhood. Still needs to work out a few things.
AJ's has quickly become one of my favorite dinner spots in Federal Hill. Great atmosphere and not the overwhelming bar scene!
Food was okay, service was terrible. Abrupt, arrogant waiter. Over 45 minutes to get our appetizer, which was fries. I was served a extremely small amount of wine in a lowball glass. When I mentioned it, the waiter returned and aggressively poured wine into the glass until it overflowed. He then said, "enjoy."
As a customer, I have never been treated worse.
My go to place before Ravens games
Loved the waiter she gave my friend a free 21th shot. Love our night
Generally wonderful meal ! The food was exceptional (unbelievable cream of crab soup !!!) There happened to be a VERY loud (and unruly) group near us for the first half of our meal, which made conversation problematic. Unfortunately, one of the servers (not ours) was a part of this noise issue. The high chairs were not comfortable, and I would have preferred a "normal" height chair / table : granted, we could have asked to move and did not. I am sure that we would have been moved, if we asked. Our server was very nice, helpful and informative. As the room filled with other customers, our server became harder to find and connect with. (The other earlier server had disappeared ?!) But when we DID connect with our server, she was delightful. I will definitely return, and look forward to trying other delicious items on their menu.
Never actually got to the restaurant because I spent 25 minutes looking for parking and decided to go elsewhere perhaps you guys should get valet
We had an awesome time. Great food, and service! Definitely coming back
Sat at the bar tables. It wasn’t very business so it wasn’t that loud. Played great music. Food was very good
We made a last minute reservation for 15people. The staff happily greeted us and gave us the entire upstairs. We received excellent and attentive service. The food was great & the staff were able to accommodate food restrictions. Can not speak highly enough about the service we received.
Friendly staff, awesome brunch and bottomless bloody. Crab cake and short rib Benedict’s were delicious.
The food and service at AJ’s is amazing. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. For my last visit, we made a reservation for 10, but had more people than expected. The staff there was very helpful and happy help us make room for our party. I’ve been here numerous times and will continue to come back. Thanks again!
Awesome place, service was fantastic, food was bomb. Fun local atmosphere.
Been here multiple times and it has always been great. However, tonight I had a server who cleared our place twice before we were done eating.
Great little spot, stopped in with a party of 4 before Billy Joel concert. Food was great, K.P. (our server) was wonderful, overall great experience, will be back.
AJs is one of my absolute favorite new spots. I've been here quite a few times, and love it. My go-tos are the scallops, the chicken Chesapeake special, and the Destiny chicken sandwich. ALL amazing. There is a dining space in the back so that it's not too loud, as well as a few tables for outdoor seating. The space is very quaint, and the service is also great. Definitely worth checking out! I'll be back to try brunch soon
Great brunch. We shared the Hanover French toast/ monkey bread, and I got the crabcakes benny and my friends got the smoked salmon bagel and the country breakfast. Food was excellent, will def be back to take advantage of the bottomless!
Great food and drinks. Our server was very nice and hostess accommodated us by opening the wall of windows to help ease the chill of AC. We went there for brunch before heading over to Sagamore for an event. It’s less than a mile away. Would highly recommend. We didn’t have our kids with us, but seemed to be kid friendly.
I was disappointed in the dish that I ordered and response from the server. This is a great neighborhood spot and I’ll return but will not be ordering the vegetable risotto again. The person I was dining with enjoyed their meal. It also took longer than expected to get our food.
Our book club was thrilled with the excellent service--our server adeptly accomodated us as a party of eight and ensured we all had a great experience.
Every meal at the table was delicious. The fried Brie was to die for. The service was superb. I will definitely be coming back here in the near future.
The food was delicious! The crabcake eggs Benedict was the best I’ve ever had. They had bottomless mimosa, bloodies and sangria which was great (you don’t have to stick to one kind). The one thing I would say that was strange was my first Bloody Mary came with a old bay rim plus a lime and lemon, then my friends came with just celery and then my next one came with just the drink. The drinks tasted great but there was not consistency with presentation.
