Chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee have over 25 years of combined experience in Japanese cuisine and sushi. They established their culinary careers in Houston where they worked together for years before creating their own restaurants.

Pham and Lee teamed up to bring new curated dining concepts to Houston’s food scene and kicked off a series of omakase pop-up dinners called Secret Taste. Pham and Lee then opened Kokoro in the Bravery Chef Hall in Downtown Houston followed by Handies Douzo in the Houston Heights.

Aiko is the newest concept from the team featuring a sushi bar and seated dining.

    Awesome first experience with omakase. Cool spot, The drinks are good too. Aiko has four options for omakase I believe with a daily rotating menu and the standard , both you can choose 1/2 or a full course. I will definitely be coming back.

    I love Aiko. It is by far my favorite sushi spot in Houston. The food is ALWAYS 10/10. All of the employees are kind, funny, and knowledgeable. They are efficient and love to take care of their guests. I prefer the sushi bar because I like to engage with chefs and ask questions about the different fish. The Hamachi Crudo is my personal favorite.

    We enjoy the omakase experience. Each time we receive a different line up that makes us delight with new discoveries. The servers are polite and attentive. We felt special with people wishing my daughter a happy birthday. The entire family tells people that they should try this great restaurant.

    Aiko is always an incredible experience - during our last visit, our table chose Aiko’s seasonal omakase and were not disappointed. Each course was backed by incredible flavor and detail. The drinks, ambience, and team are excellent!
