Very tasty and well made food. Fresh ingredients. I will say they are having supply chain issues for wine with a lot missing front the list so perhaps check on a corkage fee and bring your favorite
We loved our waiter and the food. Excellent salads, starters and mains. We had Petra Lava Sicilian wine which was fabulous, along with very good Espresso Martinis :-)
Amazing service, super friendly staff, and delicious food!
Living in Italy has given me a discerning palate for Italian food. Succinctly, Agrodolce never fails to please. The food is always fresh and delicious, prepared in genuine Italian fashion. The service is among the most welcoming you’ll find anywhere. Angelo, the owner-chef, must treat his people well as they all seem happy to be working there. I take friends and relatives to Agrodolce or I go there just with my husband 3-4 times a month and we all concur that it is the best Italian trattoria in our slice of the world. Happy eating!
Great neighborhood spot for an upscale family dinner. Lamb and mushroom ravioli were big hits. And do not miss the tiramisu. Wine selection was awesome and great discounts on to-go wines. A new family favorite!
New Year’s Eve dinner was fantastic! Bustling restaurant with friendly service and, most importantly, the food was delicious.
We celebrated my mother’s birthday here. The food was excellent, and the pacing of food delivery was perfect. We enjoyed our meal immensely. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating, and the ambiance - inside in a cozy dining room near a wood-burning fireplace, in a convivial environment that wasn’t whisper-quiet but also not loud - was just right. We had a lovely dinner, and were given the time we needed to fully enjoy it.
I've been hearing my firends rave about this place for years. My mom was here for Christmas, so it was the perfect time to make it happen. The food was amazing!!
My mom wears hearing aids. The noise level was at a moderate level so we could actually have conversation.
Great for a date. Get the campagnolo!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent pricing because the value was incredible.
The dip for the bread was too good. We filled up on it and loved every bite. I had the mushroom ravioli and enjoyed it although a thinner pasta, almost translucent is ideal. The sea bass presentation was very very good. My son had the lasagna. My wife's dish never arrived, but it was just as well because she had more of ours than an entree would have provided. This last time we were there the same thing happened, that is one dish never arrived, but the result was the same. Whoever ordered it was satisfied and went home well fed. We liked eating at Agrodolce.
I love Agrodolce. But not last night. Fiore sqaush blossom appetizer doused in oil which covered all flavor. salmon overcooked along with soggy potatoes and spinach. What happened??????? Understaffed? New cook? Please please fix it, prontissimo, so I can come back and enjoy your delicious food in your lovely outdoor patio! Thank you!
Great food and great service. Always a favorite.
good food and service
Our vaccination records were not checked. Other than that everything was great! Yummy soup & good cocktails.
We sat outside. It was a very chilly evening but the heaters helped. We should have requested in door seating but not sure this was available on the Open Table site. The restaurant was extremely busy because of a major holiday party. Hence the good rating on service. The food was very good as was the wine selection. We will return.
The servers were terrible. We waited 50 minutes for our entrees to come and the waiter broke the glass of water we had. He didn't even pick up all the pieces of glass.
Nice enough, but not special. Menu was difficult to read and did not have enough variety. Food was OK, but again, nothing to go out of your way for. One bathroom for everyone was not even close to sufficient.
They pay lip service to the COVID requirements to show ID and proof of vaccination. The waiter asked for them and then didn't look. Quiet at 5P but increasingly noisy and crowded when big groups arrived making me uncomfortable with not checking ID. Food was good but too many heavy offerings - cream sauces and such. Service was very good.
We came here for my husband's birthday and we loved it. The drinks, the food, the service, the ambiance were all perfection and we can't wait to go back.
Great food! Great service! Inside, the ambience is suitable for a dinner with discussion. Outside, dining is festive with white lights and music.
Food was outstanding and wait servers were knowledgeable, efficient and friendly!!
Love the food. Service was a little slow but that is to be expected now.
I’m giving them a 3 but last night was more like a 2, maybe a 1. Hostess was nice.
The seating situation was bad from the jump, sitting walk-ins before reservations, but that was what it was. That was followed up by having a number of tables on the sidewalk and half the heaters didn’t work so it was very cold.
When we finally were seated we ordered all of our dishes at once out of fear they were too crowded and we’d never get our food, and the server was pressing us for our whole order. We were then brought our appetizer and soup at same time, so we had to decide what to eat first as the sitting item would surely get cold (everything did). So we were racing. Before we were done eating soup they brought the mains, and tried to take our unfinished soup because there wasn't room on the small table. We crammed everything onto the small table, and now the mains were becoming colder by the second because of the weather.
I decided to get The ‘famous Ragu’ and it doesn’t do well cold as all the noodles bind together. Plus you can’t really see the bones if eating outside because the lighting was bad. The dish was underwhelming warm or cold, but it was cold, so who knows.
Server then offered us ‘a wonderful glass of Sangiovese on the house’ because he at least recognized this. And even though we didn't want more to drink and were nearly done with our meals, we accepted. By the time the Sangiovese arrived we were done, except it wasn't that... it was house Cabernet, which we both found to be borderline un-drinkable swill-level wine; not Sangiovese which we love.
They don’t have the kitchen capacity to double their dining room which is what they’re trying to do with the outside area, and we suffered because of it. I don’t doubt you can have a great meal there on a different night. But for the wife and I, our first night out together in almost two years, it was a bad experience all around. Don’t go on a weekend is my advice and order the food as it comes, not at once.
Great food which is always consistent. Great, friendly staff and service.
Authentic Southern Italian.
Lovely restaurant. Goo outdoor seating with heat lamps. Yummy food (i got the salmon and great fries. Would definitely recommend. I have already.
The entire experience was ok. Walked by the restaurant a few times. It was always packed. I must be missing something.
The experience was very good. Excellent food, good service. Noise level a little higher than I like. All in all, a most enjoyable experience.
Friendly staff and yummy food. Great place to celebrate with friends & family or a quiet dinner for two.
Food was ok - as expected for home style Italian. Wait staff was under trained, not professional, and not attentive or responsive.
Love this restaurant. My husband and I come frequently (before pandemic and when restaurants reopened). This time I brought my friends visiting from Latin America. Food is delicious. It's pricey so service should be better, but owner Angelo is graciously on top fixing any mistake. I always have a great experience.
Food was average, service very slow.
worth waiting for- so much appreciated and so much fun.
We are outside at in what was parking. So, noise was moderate and ambiance more of the street scene vibe.
Service was fair all around. Young waiters (it is a pandemic) and lots of enthusiasm but we were left on a bit of an island outside.
Third visit to Agrodolce and it gets better each time. Last visit we took two other couples with us and everyone had a great time and enjoyed the drinks and food.
Two in our party ordered the sea bass and we all were completely shocked went the platters yes platters not plates arrived at our table. Each had a whole sea bass which was deboned expertly table side and was cooked to perfection. All the other dishes were very generous and tasted great.
Planning at birthday party this month for eight and can't wait to get there again.
The food was a total disappointment…we arrived at 5, so it wasn’t hardly busy, but our server was inattentive. We won’t go back. Too bad, we’d been once before w some friends and although the food wasn’t fabulous, it was an enjoyable experience. This time, pushed us toward the “not our place” rating.
We were there for my husbands birthday. At first it seemed like the waiters were going to be attentive enough however after awhile not so much. Barely saw them except for walking around to the patrons outside
Long waits for food. I will not be back
Didn’t like the tip that was automatically added on to the bill they did not deserve it. I love to tip big. however in this case it was not warranted .
We arrived on time for our reservation. The "Maitre 'D" in a flannel shirt and jeans waved over to three tables and said, take your pick and he walked off. We were given no menus for ten minutes and when we were given menus they were typed white paper, well-handled, spotted and stapled together backwards. It was 18 minutes before the busboy walked over with water and that was our first greeting--no drink order was ever taken. By the time the water showed up, we had called two other restaurants and walked out. The bare tables, rolled silver ware, lack of any service, period, and the prices were completely out of line. We will never try it again.
The outdoor patio was so lovely with all the heaters and rosemary and lights. It was cozy and the food was on point.
