Five of us went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Service was excellent. We weren’t rushed, no loud music , and food was very good. We were all appreciative that they let us linger even though kitchen was closed. I’d highly revommend.

Great place to go after visiting the Art Gallery of Ontario. Small menu, but good options. I got the Sirloin. Big flavor.

Three of us shared beet salad and each had salmon dinner and shared Boreal Forest Cake. A+ for all courses. Servers were excellent. It was a good experience for my out of town guests.

Everything was excellent. Wednesdays are a perfect opportunity to gather with a friend and see what is new at the AGO. Follow up with cocktails and dinner. Delicious.

We had a great time. Excellent service. My husband’s Croque Madame was too heavy with too much bread. Otherwise all our meals were great and we love the ambiance.

frank at the ago has devolved into a middling cash grab. i have eaten here before and loved it, but last night the food was mediocre. limp salad, chewy steak - i felt like i was trying to saw a log in half when i cut the meat. if you've ever seen that snl sketch 'lisa from temecula' you will have a good sense of what trying to cut and eat my dinner. however, unlike lisa from temecula's well-well-well-done steak, mine was medium rare and very difficult to manage. the service was also quite poor. we started off well with a kind and attentive waiter, but his shift ended midway through our experience. he assured us we'd be well taken care of by another waitress - but she never came. our courses arrived all at the same time, i.e. salad delivered alongside the main, and then we had to flag down any team member we could to get anything. our plates were not cleared, nor was our water replenished until we flagged someone down to assist us, and when we did finally manage to speak with someone to comment on the service, a terse 'it's busy' was all the apology she could muster. but like - isn't being busy the goal? and how is it appropriate to make that the customer's problem? with the abundance of excellent dining options available in toronto, i will not be returning to this sad excuse for a restaurant and i would not advise that anyone else frequent it, either.
